This is my go to spot. Love the selection natural beauty products and REALLY LOVE the selection of African American greeting cards.

Nisey's is a nice spot that helps give Mt. Rainier the small business character that is so endearing. The space is well lit and loved. Not cluttered but a lot too offer. I like that I was about to get a bottle of Florida Water. I had been looking for some for so long I had forgotten. I use it at work prepare myself before entering rooms and to maintain my precognition. Miss Nisey also said I should use it in the car which I will do. Speed cameras do their jobs too well and folks don't know how to drive. When return I will pick up some artisanal candles, some Nature's Blessings grease when I run out, maybe even some soap. Or even to fortify my kundalini energy by being in a peaceful place, practicing ujaama. Ashé! read more

If this store sold everything, I would only shop here. I can find a card in there with people who look like me on the cover. I can find some exotic hair potion I've never seen/tried before. I can find a pack-flat-hat to take to the beach. And if you can't find it, just ask Nisey. She can get it for you! That's customer service. Don't think that all this exotic product stuff and high level customer service stuff is going to cost you an arm and a leg either. There are DEFINITELY some bargains here. Definitely! This place has a good energy, and so does the owner :) There's a nice selection of clothes, accessories, jewelry, oils and incense, hair and body products, etc. But aside from the cool things you can find there, it just feels good to be in that space. I cannot say enough regarding this boutique, I've been trying to get there for YEARS...and finally made my way there...not once but twice! The parking can be a bit challenging, however a few spins around this ill eclectic area....it's worth it! Ms. Nisey will certainly greet you as soon as you walk in, making your shopping experience even more enjoyable....the shop is small in size, there is oodles there to keep you busy...... Being a picky shopper....I had no problems in finding one, two, three and four items to take home with me...... Can't wait to see what new apparel is in for the fall!!! read more

It has been many moons since I started supporting this business. Nisey is still gorgeous, still has a beautiful personality and still offers the most unique and long lasting clothes ever. Her clothes last a looooong time because they are of the highest quality. I still have a brown robe that I purchased at least 5 years ago. It is linen. In perfect condition. I wore one of her navy jeans skirts for years and it never wore out. I recently gave it to someone else who can continue to appreciate it. I'll support this company until the end.... read more

I first started shopping at Nisey's b/c it's next to one of my favs(the Glut), but now I got to Nisey's because I love it and I support US. It's a great establishment with funky stuff. I get various sweaters, hats and bracelets from there at least two times a year. As a long time naturalista - I get various hair products from Nisey. She's in the store every time I go in there and she knows how to make her customers feel wanted. Nisey's is a fun place where you will find eclectic and eco friendly threads, lotions and soaps to smell lovely with, and little things for gifts around the house. The owner is smiling and helpful. It's right next to GLUT organic market so you can shop for food and come home with a new skirt and some fun jewelry too. She is part of the reason Mount Ranier is making a resurgence. read more

Every time I visit here there is something new and exciting that catches my eye. I have been coming here since my kids were babies and we always feel like family when we visit. The atmosphere, various scents, clothing, accessories, cards, and jewelry are amazing! I love the products that Nisey's offers however, the store is closed when it is scheduled to be open and the hours change almost biweekly. I love supporting small businesses however, 8ish isn't a time. If you're closing at 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, or 8:15, make it clear. read more

I love this little boutique, wish there were of them in DC. Back in the day, this was the only store I could find Carol's Daughter products, what a different a few years make. Nisey's Boutique is my favorite place to shop. The moment you walk in the door the positive energy just surrounds you. Jackie ( Proprietor) is always there to meet you with her signature GREETINGS, very friendly and knows her product well. The selections are beautiful and reasonably priced. I have to purposely under feed the parking meter outside to make certain that I don't stay toooo long, although the boutique is quaint you can get lost since everything is so nice. Nisey's has some nice summer skirts and dresses and daishikis. They have plenty of reasonably-priced shea, black soap, incense, oils, earrings you name it. The owner is kind and helps you when trying on clothes. I'm still enjoying my GORGEOUS white with gold trim ruffle maxi skirt and feel regal when I wear it (so scared to wear it out sometimes lol) I hope she expands her collection more in the future. This is a cute little store. They sell everything from incense, shea butters, & natural soaps and hair products, to jewelry, clothing, and hats. Sort of reminds me of Little Five Points in Atlanta. There's a minimum if you want to use a card... $5-10? So bring cash if you're only going to get something small. read more

The jackets, shoes, tops, dresses I have from Nisey's get me huge compliments. Her clothing tends to be very comfortable to wear and is largely cotton and linen, both solids and wonderful hand-printed fabrics. Much of what she carries is clothing I never see anywhere else. Her store fits right in with the Mt Rainier-Brentwood Arts District theme. Nisey has a great eye and loves the items she's selected for the store, and loves to chat about them with customers. She's usually behind the counter, with a cheerful young salesperson who waits on customers and helps with trying things on. It's a friendly place (no, not an issue being white, can't imagine what happened to that reviewer). I'm lucky, I can walk there, but if you can't park right in front of the store (there's also a restaurant, food coop, and other businesses nearby), there's always parking on side streets and near the traffic circle. read more

All the previous reviews led me to this store. I took a chance and happened upon some nice gifts for family and friends. The boutique is small yet cozy. I walked around the store 3 times and each time I saw something unique and different. This is definitely a keeper. read more

there needs to be more of these!!!! i stumbled upon this cuute place called Nisey's Boutique...and wow i've been missin' out! I decided to do some of my "black friday" shopping at a "Black" owned business and i was definetely impressed. The staff was very nice, attentive and professional..yet i felt like I walked into one of my girlfriends living room. I was able to find something for almost everybody on my list..co-workers, sister, father.. (even those people you dread shopping for :). I'll admit..i found some earrings, a hat, some leggings, some shea butter...air freshner..umm bangles...shall i keep going? And all that was just for me! If you're looking for some cute gift ideas..or even some goodies for yourself like i did....i would definitely recommend Nisey's Boutique...LOOOOOveed IT! read more

Sad to say this was a terrible experience and will NOT be returning. I came in with my family, because we love to check out Boutique's all the time. When we first went inside, the owner or sales associate, rolled her eyes at us just because we did not say Hello to her first. Second, when i asked about the clothes, she rudely answered to correct us when we did not say the right thing. She seemed to have a negative vibe going on and it ruined our shopping experience.
