The normal line at PG Plaza Ross extends about 100 ft beyond the "line starts here" sign.

Another unfortunate example of how certain retailers neglect stores serving Black and Brown communities. Much worse than the Marshalls next door, this Ross boasts overpacked shelves (making it hard to shop) and ridiculously long checkout lines--always. They used to have a separate return line. On top of that, you get the customer who thinks their time is more important than everyone else's time, and tries to jump in line. Just know you need 20-30 minutes just to wait in line, so plan ahead: listen to your podcast, read a few news articles, or even catch up on your Yelp reviews Only 4 of 12 cashiers staffed

It's a shame for anyone to have a store look like this. It's unsafe to even go in the store stuff all over the floors like this

Shopping here is traumatic. It has to be the most stressful shopping experience on this here earth. It perpetually looks like a tornado tore through it and I'm not sure if it is the store's fault or the fault of the Neanderthals that wreck a shop like that. People bring their battalion of children and let them run amok. STRESS INNA MI CHEST!! The staff is rude and really don't care. A lot of them are phoning it in. The nail in the coffin is the checkout line. It runs to the very back of the store with only 2 cashiers at any given time. You can legit die in that line.Yes the items are cheap but I would rather go to goodwill and hold on to my sanity. It is all so overwhelming and not in a good way. If you have the fortitude to weather this place, good luck. But I strongly suggest you don't play yourself..please

Messy is an understatement. Poor quality and selection. No staff on the floor. Go next door to Marshalls for a better shopping experience

We just bought a house (yaaaay!)...and so the epic decorating battles have begun between my husband…read moreand I. The house is very 70's (think "Brady Bunch" house), so I want to go with a Barbarella vibe (if you have no idea who/what Barbarella is - friends off!). My husband, who has fully embraced my Asian heritage, wants to go full on "Farewell My Concubine". As you can imagine, this house is going to be a schizophrenic hot tranny mess. I can't wait! In one of our attempts to try to mesh our divergent and eclectic visions, we decided to take a look at some Turkish/Moroccan chandeliers for our dining room...and I remembered this adorable store in Tacoma Park. The Covered Market is a Turkish lighting *dream*. I have no idea what any of these things are called, but it was like a rainbow glass mosaic of *awesome*. In addition, the sales lady (manager? owner?) was so incredibly sweet and nice as we plagued her with 50000000 questions about colors, sizes and ridiculous needs (these mosaic balls, with that ring, but of that length, etc etc etc). Heh. And the prices weren't that bad. Yes, the chandelier we ultimately decided upon will be $500+, but we were pretty insane in what we asked for...so I'm quite sure we're the exception...not the rule. Super cute and I can't wait to figure out where to put the other hanging light that I spied. Shhhhhh...don't tell my husband...he doesn't know yet. Heh.

I kept the ones I moved into the house…read morewith, and since then, they had to be moved (when I got new windows), resulting in some fitting differently. I also got a cat that (by accident) broke some of the blinds panels... and in other instances, the blinds just stopped opening because the mechanisms broke. So I've been thinking about getting new blinds for quite a while, and I knew I wanted it to be something sturdier than the classic thin beige ones. I did some research, and realized the kind of blinds I wanted, but also learned that they could only be purchased through certain distributors. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to support a small local business, so that's how I stumbled upon Wills Decorating. I arrived one early afternoon and the place really did feel like a mini Lowes or something, hahaha. The man behind the counter was wrapping things up with another customer. I took the time to explore and I immediately found the blinds I had in mind. But I also saw these cool looking shades that could be opened from the bottom... AND top. And they had this cool honeycomb shape, I was intrigued! When the man was done, I found it his name was Michael, and he is one of the owners, and he's local local! He grew up near the same community I currently live. So we talked about blinds and shades, and we arranged for the co-owner, Valerie, to call me so we could schedule time for her to come over. Within a week she came, and I made some decisions that I am so delighted with now that the project is done. We discussed colors, I told her what my plans were for painting -- she was VERY efficient and professional. And she was also very friendly, willing to chat about my vision and give recommendations. Days later, she followed up with a quote and we made it happen. I had to pay half once I decided to move forward, and then the other half after installation. Another person, Dave, came and did the installation at every window. He came in the middle of a workday, and I told him when I had meetings -- he started with my office window, and I was worried about having to move my desk. He was able to easily work around it! He worked very quickly! I was thoroughly pleased with what he had done -- and it wasn't before long I had a follow-up conversation with Valerie and she was asking how everything looked. Dave had sent her some pics and she was as excited as me. All that to say, I am overjoyed and I'm looking forward to my next house upgrade (when I cool down, financially, haha).
