It's a horrible experience that I…read morehad administratively, and with the tech hauling me back and giving me x-rays that I didn't need, without so much as a hello or telling me what they were doing. I called and gave my insurance and told scheduler that I experienced a hamstring tear. The woman on the phone said she couldn't make it at the location I requested because they don't treat hamstrings and so she made an appointment with a physician in South Pasadena. I waited for this appointment and was in a lot of pain. I showed up they took me back and gave me several x-rays without saying one word. First of all, I hate x-rays and I hate getting irradiated for any reason. So I was really angry to find out the x-rays were of my spine not my hamstring and they didn't even bother asking why I was there!! Or telling me what they were doing!!! I assumed they had my appointment info. (Will they charge for these??? We'll see) The second thing I wanted to say is that I switched my claim to Workmen's Comp. I had to deal with bcunning@floridaortho.com. He is the worst. VERY rough manner and no one including even his own staff members can get a hold of him when they need something. So good luck trying to schedule something if you're on Workmen's Comp and you are in pain. I'm sure the doctors are great, but I can't see myself having to deal with him or any other incompetence moving forward. And now I lost an entire week.

Doctor Mark Torke is a horrible doctor…read more He had 0 bedsides manners, and when he came in the room, he made me feel stupid. Like I was in an interrogation. I am 18 with severe shoulder issues. I came in the room confident and ready to get things fixed. As soon as he came in the room, he flustered me. I was shocked by the way he was acting. He said there was nothing wrong with me, and I should be exercising. The list of backhanded comments he gave me was plentiful. When I told him I physically could not without pain, he said "I don't care." Such a salty old man. He then forgot to discharge me, and I was stuck in the room he humiliated me in for 30 mins. Such a horrible experience. This isn't a post made out of anger for my results, he simply is the worst doctor I've ever been to, and he is the only one on that list! Never come here unless you want a doctor only coming for a paycheck and not your health!

Today is my 2 week followup on 6/2/23, with new X-ray to see if it's healing properly. Dr. Torke is a no nonsense, shoot from the hip type of guy, which is fine by me. I like to know the facts, what to do to heal, and be on my way. If I have questions, Dr. Torke is thorough with the answers - or finding answers. So far, I've been satisfied with my treatment in the past and now. The office staff is pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. If I have questions, they answer then or find someone with the answers.

"He does not do surgery just to do surgery." (He did my neck during Covid. That's how I meet him.) Repeat: I cannot say enough good things about him. His team is 100% cooperative with HIM in surgery pre-op, and post- op care superior. After I saw Dr. Davidson / Andrew (awesome) He is also on his team. Also, Joseph Hanson assisted in surgery . I suffered quite a while with my spine before. Finally decided to go in and talk to Dr Davidson with MRI fall 2025. He told me the pros in the cons of what I could expect to achieve. He delivered 100%. I Have to say I was Cranky on my 1 post -op visit./my x-rays looked great, but I was Cranky. March I went third visit. Everything has settling in beautifully. When He showed me my x-rays a second time, it was more than 100% beautiful. All the bone spurs were removed. The vertebrates looked perfect. I couldn't ask for a more competent, compassionate, patient , and experience surgeon . The pre-op and post -op care =excellent. Thank you, Dr. Davidson, Joe, also the anesthesiology team, and Andrew, no words can express how I feel. Dr. Davidson is definitely the Spine Man . Morton Plant-BayCare Hospital Clearwater Fl. Excellent care!! I wish had known about Dr J. Byron Davidson prior to my first Spinal surgery in 2006 (Davenport/Haines City Fl.) I would have had a total different outcome. Do your homework. Gifted Surgeon's are truly hard to come by. Don't get put off by all the people in the waiting room.
