I wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the service you performed on my 370Z last week. I brought the car in for what I thought was a rear differential leak after a 5 hour trim home from Phoenix. The service tech Martin who worked on my car pointed out during the video that it was a vent tube leak. Needless to say I was elated that it wasn't going to be an expensive repair. While I was there, I did have the dealership do the rear differential service along with the transmisson service as preventative maintenance at my mileage interval. I also wanted to give compliments to Jaime Flores the service consultant who checked me in bright and early the morning of my service, along with scheduling a ride so I can get to my place of employment. Also want to thank Christian Pinheiro who prepared the inspection video along with the recommended services paperwork for my car. He also was prompt in letting me know the status of my vehicle along the way. I will be coming back to Nissan Costa Mesa in the coming weeks to get my normal oil change service completed. If you can pass this along to your team that would be great. It's nice to get positive feedback for a job well done. Most people would complain but not me this time. read more

Our car was leaking oil that hubby decided to get it checked. We have been coming here to get our car repairs for years. It was quite a wait before we got seen since he had 2 people ahead of us. Hubby had forgotten to put back a washer to the drain plug when he did the oil change a month ago!!! So Kevin put the washer to the drain plug after he didbthe oil change. It was only $75 and hubby was saved from doing another oil change which he said costs him $50 for the oil. The extra $25 spent today was a blessing that hubby doesn't have to do it himself. He had difficulty in going under the car every time he did the oil change !!! My sister comes here too for repairs as well as oil change and maintenance of all her cars! read more

My sister in law took her car here and Kevin told her that the springs were CUT. They were NOT cut, it was the TRD lowering springs I installed. He told her she needed front struts. They installed USED struts and strut mount on the car because they told her the car is OLD and can't get the parts anymore. Quick google search shows many places selling NEW strut mounts, including the Toyota dealer. What was worse is that the strut mount that they replaced was RUSTED, the bolt is rusted and so were the nuts for the strut mount. Not sure how she was charged $600 for 2 used struts and 2 front used/rusted strut mounts. If you want to be lied to and have your good parts replaced with used/rusted parts... AND pay $600... This is the place for that. NEVER go to this place.... At this price, just go to the dealer. At least they won't install USED parts on there and charge you new prices. read more

Well good morning Mr. Kevin. for those of you reading you might want to grab some popcorn for this long sad tale. I dont know who the bigger idiot is.. Us or Kevin. We originally took our big car down there because it was sputtering choking, dying and kevin replaced the gas pedal and did something to the car to make it ok again for a measly 2 months. So we bring it back down there and he apologizes and replaces the gas pedal again. Same thing.. 2 months later the car is back acting up. So instead of trying to find the real problem he KEEPS our money and then sends us off to Craig johnson the biggest scam artist in all the SGV. After Craig claims its a transmission and charges us over 60 dollars for a diagnostic which he failed to mention on the phone, I got mad and said they never said they were going to do that before hand because we were a friend of Kevins! Turns out it was only half the price, a cadillac converter and the other across the way from Craig, got in our car drove with us and SHOWED us the code. Craig only gives a fake made up invoice. Because we didnt want to pay the diagnose fee they actually printed out a message on the invoice... "Customer was asked not to return"!! So in the mean time our 1992 Miata is acting up and since Kevin works on exotics and Japanese cars my husband felt desperate and decides to forgive Kevin since there was no bad blood between them even tho there should have been for ripping us off..... we let it slide... The Husband is getting older in his 70's now and just cant work on the cars anymore. So Kevil lets our car sit there for a month!! it collected 3 inches of dust and looked like complete shizz when we got it back with an "Im sorry I cant figure it out" You call yourself a master mechanic and cant figure it out??!! UNBELIEVEABLE! Here is the worst thing he did.. He made my husband come push the car all by himself out of kevins garage knowing how old he is. The dash got completely busted up in pieces from my husband trying to push it to the street ALONE! Not one of kevins workers cared either.. All of them ignored him ;....( He slipped and fell on the street and hurt himself just outside of kevins property. he had to wait tthere for triple A to tow it home. End of story? I finally decided to end it and sold my beautiful baby for a measly 1400 to 2 20 year old kids that in 4 days figured out it was 2 rings gone bad and they will have her up and running in 2 weks. That car was a daughter to us. it had been in our family for over 15 years. Im speechless with hurt and almost a week later as i look at my empty garage every morning.. the tears come straight back. I hate you Kevin. Your a stupid idiot. I will never forgive you. If I could go down there in person and tell you off I would. I hope those reading this yelp review will go somewhere else. Kevin just wants to make a quick buck and he doesnt care if your car lives, he doesnt care if your car dies in the middle of the road endangering your life.. HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU! I was referred to this place considering my special situation. Went for synthetic oil change. Told them that the bolt was over-sized and sealed with silicon, also told them that I would understand if they didn't want to do it due to its circumstance for liability reasons. They said they can do it and they had something in mind. They changed my oil and plug. They stated that this temporary solution(oil drain plug) would only last for maybe a month or so. I ended up paying 80$ total for : Synthetic oil change + temporary plug. Few things: I wish they would've told me that the plug was temporary, that is was only gonna last a month, and the cost of the temporary plug BEFORE actually removing/servicing the old one. If they told me this prior to touching anything on my car, I would've reconsidered, especially costing $80 for a months worth of driving? That's kinda not worth it. (could have bought an oil pan) It was also my fault too that I didn't ask. But, they were very polite and welcoming. I will consider going to them for any normal applications that doesn't require any special attention. read more

After swapping heated words with some dealer who wanted to charge me $400 to change a headlight bulb (!!!) he told me to try to Nissan specialist down to road. What a difference! The guys at Nissan Master Service replaced the bulb for me in no time and I was on my way for little more than the cost of the bulb itself. Since then these guys have taken GREAT care of my Maxima. Ive been going to this place for a long time now and it occured to me today after going to them with a really tight car situation that I never wrote this place a much deserved review. My car was having battery issues and I needed a new battery asap because of work and whatnot. And even though they were totally slammed with working on other cars, Kevin said he'd go and take a look at it. Very honest.. Reliable...Literally saved me hundreds of dollars.. Had to have actuator replaced it was $400 at the dealer and only paid $100 for parts and labor here. They are very honest and will not work on your car just to make money and have actually refused to do work on my Titan because they did not want to charge an arm an a leg for ridiculous repairs I don't need...I have never met an honest mechanic till I went here...
