All his prices are extremely reasonable and he doesn't force you to pay for services you don't need. He also takes the time to give you a full blown report and explanation for everything about your car. I just called this business about 2 hours ago and the impression I got over the phone was bad customer service. Not sure who I talked to but I think they were having a bad day and took it out on me. I was trying to get some information about potentially replacing my 2006 Honda Accord's heater core. I first asked if they do this service which they do. I don't say the year of the car yet...then he proceeds to tell me it's going to be "thousands of dollars." I say ok and "I'm just calling around to get some different prices to see if it's worth it for me to do this service, since the car is older." He says "it's not me to tell you if it is worth it or not that's up to you" yes that's why I am calling to see what my options are??? I've been trying to tell him the year, make and model this whole phone call and he keeps talking over me and assumes and says "well I can't just give you a price over the phone like $200 and then you're going to come in shop and expect that price, you need to come in so we can get the accurate price" so it went from thousands to $200? I know it wasn't going to be $200. I say "ok I would like to give you my year make and model now and if you could tell me a price range for my information." He says "$700" and I say "ok not too bad" but then berades me that is not the final price once again. Then he says it's $90 just to check if it's even the problem when I already know this is the problem because my trusted mechanic checked it. Otherwise I wouldn't have called here. That is ok with me that this business policy is to charge for this check, I just didn't appreciate that he was rude to me over the phone and assuming that I wanted an accurate estimate right then and there with no information about my car. Then the cherry on top of it all was not asking if I had any other questions, and hangs up on me. I am a long time Nutech customer. I brought my Toyota Camry XLE here for service for many years, and received honest service and great prices. Three years ago I bought a Lexus ES 350, and took it to the dealer for service for two years since service was free. Year three at the dealer, prices were high for simple things, and the upsell was unreal, even though I had low mileage on my car. I took my can to Nutech because of a noise in my brakes. Jimmy recommended a series of different repairs totaling over $3,200. I asked if I could just do X to temporarily stop the noise. He rudely said "what, you don't trust me"? I said "I'm just trying to see if I can fix the noise without spending the whole $3,200". He angrily said, "if you don't want to hear the noise then turn the radio up louder". I said "Jimmy why are you getting upset"? He then said "you don't trust me" and he hung up on me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Avoid at all cost. I've taken multiple cars to NuTech in the past. They're thorough and their work is good, but I wouldn't take their words on it all on the diagnosis after one of my cars that they checked on the ac. They told me I had a leak in the system and put dye in there to diagnose, but everything leaked within the week. I took it to another shop to check and they apparently found that the cap wasn't even screwed back in tight and caused all the leak. NuTech wanted $2200 for the AC repair! What gave them the 1 star is how they handled appointments. I scheduled an appointment to get an oil change a couple months ago. I texted them to change my appt to a day later and they confirmed via text (that's their preferred method of communication). I showed up and they told me I was a day late. I showed the owner the text and he told me he's not aware of it and I can either wait 4 hours or come another day. Completely disregarding they mishandled my appointment on their end. How am I supposed to wait 4 hours for an oil change? They refused to acknowledge any fault and just blamed it on me. Nope I wouldn't want to deal with them anymore. read more

Extremely greedy shop. I came in for a full AC service; vacuum and replace with R134. The shop owner, probably Jimmy, warned me that if they refill the system and it leaks later, I'd still be charged the full $250. I had replace most of the AC system in a repair and told him it's fine. We wouldn't know if it's leaking until we work on it anyways. Jimmy tells me his tech is on lunch and will work on my car as soon as he gets back. When his tech gets back, Jimmy informs me that there's a leak in the system and they're not able to pull the vacuum. He said he'll need to charge me an additional $200 to diagnose the issue! Other ASE certified shops are no more than $100. I tell Jimmy that I had replaced the system and can he look for any simply leaks in obvious places. I'm not going to pay $200 for a quarter turn of a fastener you can reach from the engine bay. After arguing for a while, he finally allows me to chat with his tech for a diagnosis. His tech was fantastic and actually peaked around for any obvious signs of leaks with me. He even ran through the test to show me the leak where Jimmy was rude and did his best to talk up the situation for more money. Upon looking at the invoice, Jimmy charged me for 1.5 of labor, equating to over $200. He started billing me the minute I sat down and not when his tech arrived back from lunch an hour later to work on my vehicle. His tech only worked on my car for 20 minutes, maybe 30 at the max. This excruciating labor consisted of pugging in the pipes and pressing ON. Looking at all the other recent reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one that disagrees with Jimmy's attitude. His only argument for the prices is that his shop is only ASE certified techs. I only take my car to ASE certified shops and can tell you their prices and attitude aren't like this. That's Lastly, his waiting room is filthy and unbearably hot. Their shop might have earned a good rating before but those days are long gone. Response: You're right. The repair was for evacuate and RECHARGE. A recharge was never even attempted. It's 50% of the job yet you only took off 20%; basically for the R134 that wasn't used. Book time only justifies if you've completed the repair, not spending 50% of the time at lunch and then 20 minutes on the car. He quickly prepared an estimate for me so I was able to have my husband review before moving forward. He let me know my car would be ready at the same time the next day. He offered me coffee while I waited for my ride. I was pleasantly surprised when he alerted me letting me know it was done even earlier than expected. My mom and I went to the stealership for a diagnostic on an issue my mom was experiencing while she was driving, and the stealership said that the transmission of her 2015 Toyota RAV4 needed a full replacement which they quoted for nearly $8000! Insane!! Also, it didn't make sense to me as to why you would want to put a brand new transmission in an almost 10-year old car like ??? I came across Nutech Auto Repair as I was searching for shops that specialized in transmission repairs. We were able to schedule an appointment for a diagnostic fairly quickly and dropped off the car. It turns out that the transmission was perfectly fine and the root cause was an issue with the throttle body. The fix cost a FRACTION of the price that Toyota "incorrectly" quoted us! I'm disappointed at Toyota but I'm extremely happy to have found Nutech; thank you so much Jimmy!!! I will be bringing my personal car for a diagnostic sometime soon! They're very flexible with your time and schedule and not to mention they let you leave your car there and just leave your car keys on the mailbox. Got front brakes and rotors here last year. Since then they've worked perfect, no issues at all. At the time I needed them replaced I was driving and heard metal on metal. I pulled over immediately and it just so happened to be near this shop. So I walked over and told them the situation and they fit me in right away! He used OEM parts and the price was definitely fair. For years my front brakes screeched so bad but since they replaced them that completely stopped! What a difference lol. Just a few weeks before this I had my rear brakes and rotors done somewhere else, and those brakes are all rusted, clip installed wrong, and they didn't even replace the rotors but still charged me for them. I got TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) warning light on, so I brought my car to Nutech. Nutech Auto Repair inspected my car and replaced one (1) tire pressure sensor and charged $158.32.  Later on I found out that the cost for replacing the tire pressure sensors for all four(4) tires is only $65 at Costco. More important thing is that I got TPMS warning light on again on my way back home from Neutech. I brought my car to Neutech again to fix the problem, but Neutech could not fix the problem and the TPMS light was still on. Even after that i visited Nutech two times more to fix my car, but they could not remove TPMS warning light and Jimmy asked me to replace the other three tire pressure sensors. I could not trust Nutech anymore, so I brought my car to Costco to replace all the four tire pressure sensors with new ones for only $65, but a Costco staff, after inspecting my car, said there is nothing wrong on my tire pressure sensors and the TPMS warning sign is due to somthing else other than the sensors. So far l've never left negative reviews on yelp, but hopefully my review will help Neutech improve their services and allow other customers to make informed decisions. read more

I called him, gave me a very reasonable price and i went into his shop. Very welcoming, great attitude. While i was waiting for my car, two men walked inside trying to get him to work with car parts that were not dealer certified and he automatically said no. I knew then and there he takes care of his clients vehicles, no after market, just original parts. A lot of places do not care for others vehicles and end up messing them up. They also took pictures of my vehicle while inspecting it and send a link to my phone & i was able to see what they saw needed a change or to be fixed. I started to feel some rough idling every so often when sitting at a signal or when in park. I also noticed a slight bump from the engine when pulling off from a stop. I was told by my dealer my engine mounts needed replacement. I checked out Yelp for a second opinion and decided to try Nu Tech auto repair after so many good reviews. Had my van towed here for over heating. Jimmy charged me 1,441 to replace the radiator, related hoses, and thermostat.. He said he could not check to see if head gasket is damaged until he replaced the leaking radiator so I said go ahead. Then he tells me the head gasket is burnt quoting me over $14,000 for engine replacement. At that point, I felt it was a scam so I showed up the next morning and took my van telling him not to put the parts (front grill and other parts) back together and just place them in a bag. Took the van next door to Victor's Quality Motors. They did a full check on the engine with several tests finding nothing wrong with the engine. They changed the oil, and filled up the freon. I waited an hour and a half, paying $230 and drove off with the same engine that Nutech said was bad and needed to be replaced. Drove the van over 50 miles with no issues. I do not write reviews often but felt compelled to tell on my experience with Nutech. If i find the time, i may reach out to to the DA's office and request for a criminal filing for attempted felony grand theft or to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair to request for an investigation. read more

We left to go eat and the owner kept updating us about the process and what he found to be the problem. He recommended my bf to take the car to the dealer instead since fixing the transmission is going to be very expensive and he was surprised that my bf's car had transmission issues because the car was only 5 years old.
