Since I needed the album soon after the shoot, Brynn sent my photos to me the same evening to pick my faves and the album was delivered much more quickly than I anticipated. She was impressively responsive, extremely personable, and exquisitely professional. I had so many qualms and anxieties headed into the shoot that quickly dispersed once I met her in person and we got started. Melanie opened up her beautiful home to me and made me feel at ease. She gave me plenty of direction while still allowing me to share my creative suggestions. She kept to her word on when the initial proofs were to be delivered and I was blown away by what I saw. (My husband was too!) Melanie has a genuine knack for capturing the most beautiful aspects of any woman and putting them on film. I cannot wait to return again to do another photo shoot in a few years (or maybe even for maternity photos when that time comes). I was so upset because I spent so much money getting myself ready for the shoot (hair, tan, eyelashes, nails). Luckily, I was referred to Melanie with Siren Boudoir and she was able to take me that same day and I'm soooo happy she did! My pictures came out so much nicer, more polished, and definitely more professional looking than the pictures I saw on the other photographer's website. When I gave my pictures to my boyfriend for Christmas, he was literally speechless! I was so impressed that I recommended her to a friend. My friend went ahead and booked a session and loved it too! Melanie definitely makes you feel very comfortable (which can be difficult if you plan on being a half naked sexy seductress LOL). I usually feel super awkward in front of the camera, but I was completely blown away by how incredible the photos turned out. Karen was very easy and reassuring to work with. She made the whole process feel so natural and effortless, and me confident in how I looked. Her direction made posing way less intimidating. She paid attention to every little detail, lighting, hair, makeup, even the room temperature, to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. She also had a great selection of props that really added to the shoot and allowed for a greater photo selection. I also brought a friend with me, which I saw several other boudoir photographers in OC do not allow. She assisted with hair adjustments, posing, and hyped me up the whole time, which made the experience that much better. During the photo viewing (a few days after the shoot), she went through each photo for a yes, maybe, or no, and took notes on how I would or would not like photos to be retouched. She was a very patient and detailed listener to my laundry-list of preferences. As a tip, don't forget to book well in advance of birthdays/holidays if you're doing this as a gift for your S/O. Upon contacting her, it was about a week/a few days for her soonest availability and then a few more days for editing, selecting, and a few more days to receive prints. I was in a huge rush and Karen was kind enough to rush every part of this process so I could have the photos in time for a vacation with my S/O. Overall, I could not speak more highly of Karen, her expertise, quality, and flexibility. I can't thank Karen enough for making this such a great experience, and leaving me with lots of beautiful photos + a huge confidence boost. If you're on the fence about booking, just do it.
