I brought my 2018 Toyota Highlander to Sound Auto to have cameras and an alarm system installed,…read moreand once again, Mike exceeded all expectations. This is the second time I've trusted him with my vehicle--he previously installed a stereo system in my MGB--and both experiences have been nothing short of excellent. Mike's workmanship is top-tier: clean, precise, and professionally done. Everything works perfectly, and the installation looks factory-finished. Just as important, his communication is outstanding. He keeps you informed every step of the way, explains your options clearly, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. It's rare to find someone who combines technical skill, honesty, and great customer service the way Mike does. I'm extremely happy with the work he's done and wouldn't hesitate to return for future projects. If you're looking for high-quality automotive audio, security, or camera installations in the Hamilton, New Jersey area, I highly recommend Sound Auto and Mike. You won't be disappointed.

Based on Sound Auto reviews on Yelp and Google, I decided to have Sound Auto (Mike) install my…read morerearview mirror dash cam. After visiting the shop and meeting Mike, I was impressed with his honesty and approach during the sales process. We agreed on a price including any other possible extras, and to his credit, that's exactly what the invoice came to. It took approximately 2-hours and I decided to wait. All along he kept me posted on the progress, and in the end, it came out looking like a factory install! Nothing was out of place, the wires were hidden properly and everything worked as it should. In this day and age of ordering "online", it's rare to find a local business (especially in his line of work since so many closed beyond the pandemic) who does exactly as they promise. Mike is a stand-up guy, and his work is top-notch. From a pricing perspective, you could find "cheaper", but in the end, if you want something done right, you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend Mike and the entire Sound Auto team for any auto electronic installation requirements you might have. Get it done right the first time...go see them!

I was…read moreprovided an estimate before the appointment and the day of appointment I paid approximately $633 for the service. I later learned the services performed appear to have corresponded to an A76 service, not the A16 service my vehicle displayed and I specifically requested. At no point did anyone call me to explain that they were changing the recommended services or why a brake fluid service was being performed instead of a tire rotation. Even more frustrating, my receipt still reflected the A16 service I originally requested, making it difficult to realize there was a discrepancy until I reviewed the itemized work afterward. When I brought my concerns about the brake flush instead of the tire rotation to their attention, I was told the issue was my "confusion" and that I should have questioned the estimate sooner. Clear communication about what service is being performed-and why it differs from the service requested should be the responsibility of the repair facility, not something the customer is expected to discover after the fact. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this shop unless you are already certain exactly what your vehicle needs, understand the services being recommended, and are familiar with the typical labor times associated with the work. I expect a repair facility to provide that expertise and communicate it clearly to customers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Separately
