This nail place was recommended by my mom, so I HAD to try it out. I normally go to the high end, really expensive nail places, and felt that they do a mediocre job compared to the ladies at Niva Nails. They really do have the best customer service around, and really take their time to make sure you're getting what you want. I have been coming to Niva Nails for 3 years now since I moved to Houston from Los Angeles. I discovered them because my apartment was a 5 minute drive away. They are impeccable with their service and are very hospitable and warm. They take their time cleaning your nails and aim for perfection. I'm very meticulous when it comes to nails because I don't like being rushed. I've gone to other nail salons and nobody compares to what they do here. Now I live in Midtown which is about a 45 minute drive without traffic. I don't mind driving to get my nails done here because I trust them so much and are very reliable. Staff are very friendly and the owners treat me like family. Very hygienic tools and usually no wait time. I would highly recommend Niva Nails!!! read more

I just moved to league city so I've been looking for a new place. I went to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. The ladies were very attentive and nice. The place was very clean. My toes came out looking good and my wax was spot on. I went ahead and got a lip wax. When I said ouch, the lady went ahead and put her hand on the area just waxed so it wouldn't sting so bad. I love it here. They're so informative, helpful, affordable, and friendly. I came here with my grandparents and we had a blast. My grandfather got a pedicure and enjoyed every second, while my grandmother and I got both full sets and pedicures. Btw, they do a wonderful massage with pedicures. No, just no. I do not know where these five star reviews came from but no! Worst pedicure and massage EVER...felt like a 3 year old trying to be cute picking at your legs and you wish they would just stop. No massaging of the feet whatsoever. Even with a paraffin wax my feet did not leave smooth. A soft touch on a tattoo is great, not on a pedicure . Manicure no better...absolutely no lotion, massage (quite honestly probably a good thing at this point). They will get two stars instead of 1 because the staff did seem nice enough I suppose and the place was somewhat clean. Not as sterile as my usual go-to place, though. read more

Well, first time there to try it. And have to say. For the high price you pay, you get second hand treatment. The lady who took care of me, was very rushed and still wanted to get a tip. Non courteous and speaking her language while working, laughing with a worker and kept looking at me. I couldn't help to feel they were talking about me. A simple manicure and pedicure turned out to be inexperience, I don't need to pay for. As for the service, I needed to ask to please cut the cuticle around the whole nail not just the sides. This seemed to upset her. But I didn't know what to say. I stayed quiet. Then it came for the parafin, let's say, I paid for the plastic bag to wear it. I still stayed quiet. They finished the job. Unsatisfied, and no I did not tip. The way I see it if they can afford to mistreat their customers cuz of such high demand. The absolute, hands-down BEST experience I've ever had at a nail salon. They take the time to really make sure you get an EXCELLENT quality of service at reasonable prices. I have been to to both "fancier" and "less-fancy" places, paid more and didn't even get HALF as good of treatment as I got here. Niva Nails was recommended to me by my daughter, needless to say I've been here over a year and will be here until....The owners,a husband and wife team are absolutely amazing. My nail technician is Lynn, the wife, and I'm the pickiest person when it comes to my nails, after one time of me explaining what I liked and wanted, she has delivered each and every time. She is super patient and takes her time unlike other shops who rush to get to the next customer. Not only does she do my nails, she does all my personal maintenance such as pedicure, eyebrow wax,and now my lashes!! So yea she is the one!!! Now don't let me forget about Paul,the husband lol, the guy is just cool, down to earth, takes great pride in the services offered, and lastly he wants you satisfied. I haven't had any services from the other technicians in the shop,but they are pleasant and willing to step in if needed. The shop is clean,beverages offered, a magnitude of nail color choices and different nail techniques. So with all this being said, they are worth more than 5 stars in my opinion! read more
