You know the ambiance, subdued lighting, NYC photons on the walls, etc. But then everything changed...I received a warm welcome from the nice employee working here. She was so nice and pleasant and helped me navigate the menu. I ordered the Meat Stromboli lunch special. It was delicious! Perfected baked to a nice golden buttery crisp and the ingredients inside were perfectly distributed to get the full flavor in every bite! This was the best pizza/pizza type food I have had in the Grapevine/Colleyville area. I did not expect it so I was pleasantly surprised and will be back again soon! read more

I'm not sure if the one in fort worth is similar to this one. It does have a similar name... we came over the weekend, and it wasn't too packed and got seated very quickly. What i find interesting is are the tables, which have pennies glued to it. We ended up getting two pasta dishes: Linguine with Red Clam Sauce and the Grilled Chicken Pasta Primavera with pink sauce. Both were really good, but i definitely prefer the pink sauce dish, especially with the garlic bread they provide where you can soak up the pink sauce. Service was great and when you're done with your meal, you bring your receipt up to the front to pay. TLDR: If you're looking for a no frills, but delicious italian food come here. read more

I've been a regular here for years. The guy today taking orders seemed like he was on another planet. When I sat down after ordering, I realized that the bill was about 5$ too much. I went back to the counter to ask for another receipt, and a 20% tip had been added. I explained that I don't tip when I physically go to a register and order my food for dine-in. He just stared blankly at me. I wanted the tip money back, but he just looked at me. He said the machine added the tip. I said I did not see where it had asked, and I'm not tipping without being asked. Again, blank stare. The side salad was all iceberg lettuce, which must also be new. The salads have always been good. I don't know if they are getting cheap or have new management, but they lost a very good customer. Someone who cared about their business would have refunded the "accidental" tip. read more

Nizza holds a special place in my heart. When I was in college, and had little cash for lunch there was always Nizza within walking distance in Arlington. For the price of a McDonalds Combo, you could get a couple of slices and a drink all done to perfection. When I saw it was available from this location, I was beyond excited. Nizza hits the exact same way that it did 20 years ago. This isn't fancy food. This is also not "Pizza Place In A Box" or whatever Sysco sells where all of the places taste the same. This is simply simple, inexpensive Pizza and Italian staples. If you are looking for full service dinner, with designated wine pairings this isn't the place for you. And theres 100% nothing wrong with that. There's a place for those types of places and thats fine. If you think of a cleaner NYC Pizza place where simple execution is the staple, thats what you've got here. If you are darting around the city, little time to grab lunch, grabbing a couple of slices to eat on your way to your next meeting or errand you will love this place. read more

It's a neighborhood favorite. Recommended.  The service is always friendly and attentive. While Nizza Pizza Colleyville is known for its constant take-out business, its pizzas truly stand out. We dined in and had lasagna, shrimp fettuccine alfredo and a pizza. The meal was good and affordable, but as a lasagna enthusiast, I found theirs to be of average quality. However, I highly recommend their spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are large and delicious, a true delight for meat lovers.  The ambiance is casual and quiet enough to enjoy a conversation without raising your voice. If you prefer outside dining, there is a nice patio. There is very little road noise, so you'll have an enjoyable alfresco experience.  Overall, Nizza Pizza Colleyville is a neighborhood favorite for a reason. It's good! As an NJ native, I wouldn't say this place truly passes the test, but I also will likely be back. The crust was great and the cheese was gooey. The pizza itself was floppy and greasy just like how my mom likes it... however, the sauce was pretty plain. I ordered from this place from Uber eats and I was impressed.I ordered the extra large works by accident.It was supposed to be a medium but oh well.I also ordered the moms cheese bread along with it.Lets start off with the cheese bread.It was very good.It had beef,basil,I think tomato and red pepper on it.It was crispy and very tasty.Now the pizza.It was thin crust and it was just the way I like it.It had that char on the bottom of it.It had plenty of toppings on it and these seemed like fresh ingredients instead of that pre cooked toppings.I know it had real Canadian bacon instead of ham that other restaurants call Canadian bacon.The pizza is even better when you re heat in the oven.Overall I was happy with this place and I'll be back.I think next time I'll just go to the the place because it was just too expensive from Uber. read more

This is the most flavorless pizza I've ever had. Even with adding my own Parmesan and red pepper, it's hardly edible. I even tried eating it the next day again and couldn't do it. We frequent this place. Never had a problem in years till last night. Guy running the cash register/ taking phone orders must of been in a bad mood or something and He's a regular employee. Called in an order, 18 in. Pizza & a couple of pasta dishes. Waited in line to pick up food, (not a problem), finally get to the counter, told him my name, he got our food and started to ring up each item. Now this guy has been here so the way he was ringing my items up was by looking at the actual menu and then putting it in the register.?? What the what?? Anyways, he was struggling to find said items so I told my son to go ahead and grab our food while I wait to pay and I'll meet him in the truck. Instead of this cashier trying to finish finding what he needs to input into the register so I can pay, he told my son, just leave it! don't take it until it's paid for. (In a not so nice tone) Now I kinda get where He's coming from but for being a regular, I took offense to that, Especially since WE'RE WAITING ON HIM to find the items to ring up. I'm standing there with my card in hand waiting to pay. He treated me and my son like we were thieves. That's a sick feeling especially when I waiting on him to pay. Never had that happen to me before. Not sure if Nizza got ripped of before but that was just so disgusting and unprofessional for him to do that. He could have used other words like: I'm sorry ; the order has to be paid before your son can take it out or yeah we've had problems in the past so now the order has to be paid first before your son can take it. Something... but nope ... was treated like a thief and in front of other customers who were in line. Now if I wanted to try and steal the food.. I can tell you that I won't get far!!! I'm too Damm old to run. My darn bones sound like the cereal.... Snap, Crackle, &Pop just by walking, and my back, let's just say on bad days, people may mistake me as a relative of the Hunchback of Notre Dame , Someone needs to give him some days off so he can come back more pleasant. Not sure if someone else took over Nizzas, but I sure do miss the owners daughter who was originally running the place. Every single time we went there, and I mean Every Single Time, whether we dine in or took our food to go, pleasant greetings and actual conversations took place. Now, we Hardly do dine-ins cause that part of the business is pretty much gone. The Lady that we usually see in the evening, she sometimes, goes around and check how the customers are doing or how their meal was., but yeah that is just a once in a blue moon. I'm retired so if I can catch a great meal with no cooking or clean up involved, I'm down. Nizza Pizza. Nice location in Grapevine Tx. Walk in the door, bammm, they hit you with a smile and allow you to pick a seat of your choosing. Server comes to your table promptly to take your drink order. With your drink come a piping hot appetizer of garlic knots and hot marinara sauce. The sauce is thick, full of diced tomatoes. Really good stuff. Okay so the pizza took a bit of a minute, but they truly made up for it in serving up a darned good pie. Not greasy on the bottom. Lots of toppings. A truly good gooey bite. The aroma coming off the slice was pizza perfection. Drinks were refilled without once having to hint or say. Service caters to you. Please tip exceedingly well. They more than earn your business, reward your appetite, and make you want to stick around and watch a game on one of the tvs. Was my second trip here so I know this is a 5 star spot. Take care of yourselves, your loved one, and don't forget to give to your local food bank while you're out filling your belly. Times are tough, but if one can afford to eat out at a level you Yelp and care for stars on your visit, you are among those of us living fortunate lifestyles. The lady at the counter was friendly and described their "by the slice" offerings to me. I opted for the lasagna pizza after seeing so many pics of it. on here. I got it to go. Let me tell you - it lived up to the hype. This juicy, meaty, delicious slice of pizza was what I wanted and needed in my life. The flavors were perfectly balanced - the meat, the ricotta, the spinach - all contained on that delicious crust. The dipping sauce provided was just as hearty and really complemented the flavors of the pizza. I wanted to drink that sauce, really - I won't lie. I saw that they are BYOB - they seemed nice enough on the inside for your night out. The service was good and the ambiance was pleasant. And the tiny bit of food I had was amazing. read more

Stopped for lunch with my partner and was instantly greeted at the front by the owner. The menu is great, lots of delicious options to choose from. We came during their lunch special which I believe is from 11am-4pm, I got the chicken parmigiana sub with a drink and my partner got the 2 slice of pizza with a drink. We just moved here 7 months ago so I've been craving our staple. Still better than a lot of places but I have found better, in Euless. I've only had their pizza. we may still try other things on the menu I'm not sure with the name of the place. The signs outside say NY pizza but the name is "Hysen's". Called in a to go order and they said it would be an hour. Arrived to pick up an hour later and they had me pay for the pizza. After waiting around for 15 minutes asked about the status and was told it would be another 20-30 minutes and they didn't put the pizza in until I arrived. When I asked for a refund, they refused. Will never order here again. Edit after management response: Original review was posted while I was still waiting for my pizza. I was only given a partial refund. They failed to refund the 20% gratuity that I had paid up front (didn't notice I was shorted until I got home.) And I was only given the money back after they noticed me warning another patron to make sure their pizza had been put in before they paid. So enjoy your 20% gratuity for bad service. Here is how it could have been handled better by this business: 1. When I arrived to pick up the pizza (after waiting an hour) I should have been told before charging me for the pizza that it was just now getting made to give me the option of whether I wanted to wait. This is just basic good customer service. 2. When I asked (after waiting 15 minutes) on the status and then was told it could be another 20-30 minutes because the pizza had just gone in, I should have been given the refund when I asked for it instead of being refused "because the pizza was in the oven". read more
