This review is for For Less Towing which also seems to do business as Cooters Towing…read more We are residents of an apartment complex that has an agreement with a neighboring business to use their parking lot. At about 11pm on Friday October 14 I noticed a tow truck with one of our guests' vehicles. When I walked over to the parking lot I realized that 4 vehicles were missing. We attempted to contact the number on the towing signs located on the street (For Less Towing). When we could not get in contact with the company I proceeded to the address on the sign - looks like a crack/drug house. I drove around the surrounding streets and could not locate the vehicles. I contacted the police who stated that the vehicles were allegedly towed by For Less. About 30 mins later we got in contact with an individual who claimed to have the cars but demanded $480 cash per vehicle. They claimed to not accept credit cards because then we could sue the company. You will also notice on several reviews for this company that regardless of the location, the amount owed is $480. However the rate is allegedly calculated based on a base rate, distance of tow, storage fee based on length of time. When we asked if we could retrieve the childrens' car seats now and collect the cars the next day, we were told we needed to pay 50% to access each vehicle. We inquired about where the cars were physically located and the individual on the phone would not provide an address but instead told us to meet him at the the house I had been to earlier. When we indicated that we had just been to that location and it did not seem like a legitimate business and we did not feel safe, he became agitated and threatened to disconnect the call. He indicated that we would not get our vehicles back and damage to the vehicles was possible. We felt extremely unsafe. Once we paid we had to turnover the car keys though no vehicle registration or other details were requested from the vehicle owners. We were not allowed to follow along to the location where the cars where stored. We waited around on a dark street for over an hour and then were signaled to another residential location where the vehicles were now parked. Some of the vehicles were warm indicating that they had been driven around for a while as opposed to stored on a lot. Both the property manager for my apartment and neighboring business have indicated that they did not initiate a tow. Our vehicles were either illegally towed or stolen by someone claiming to be affiliated with For Less.

Mazda collaborated with AAA and that's how Quality 1st came into play. Right from the time my towing was scheduled, an associate promptly called to inform the timing of the pick up and later when the towing driver Lucky Singh showed up, he handled the car so well and got it dropped off at the service center ahead of time. The owner was nice enough to follow up on the service to get feedback too. I'm not sure of the pricing since my car is still under Mazda's warranty but their service was spotless and professional. Unfortunately I was not ready as I needed to have the vehicle moved away from the turnpike through Emergency Services and needed my other family members to come with another vehicle as I had to transfer my personal belongings and family safely. After informing them I was ready, they were still able to have a driver out to me within 30 mins. M&W was supposed to call me before they arrived since I needed to ride along. LUCKILY I went outside to get something out of my car even though they hadn't called yet. I WAS SHOCKED to see they had arrived already and actually went into my car, started it, and already had it on their truck!!! I'm pretty sure they were about to drive away KNOWING that I was supposed to ride with them. The driver pretended not speak English and had me talk to the manager.
