Saw this place on TikTok and was very excited to try. We ordered half yangyum and half plain wings. The wings were fried very well just as shown on social media. The yangyum sauce was good, but a bit sweet for me. Perfect amount of sauce! However, I am glad we got the plain wings to balance it out. The cabbage salad in the middle was refreshing and served as a great palate cleanser.

I really appreciated him checking in throughout the meal. The Korean fried chicken was good, but I took away one star because it was a step below some of the other options in the area. It was a little more saucier than my personal preference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That said, it was still very solid overall, and the excellent service and comfortable atmosphere made for an enjoyable visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would still recommend giving it a try.

Saw this place on tiktok and I wanted to try it out. I recommend this place a try. I did like the chicken when I came here! My only complaints are that the prices are on the higher side and the wings did take a while. Other than that amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was great and the inside was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got 10 wing with fries and a drink added (extra $5). I got the yangyum and honey garlic sauce. Of the two I liked the honey garlic sauce more. They both were in the sweeter side. I wish the yangyum had more spice. I recommend getting one saltier or spicy sauce instead of two sweet ones. I really liked the wings though. They had good breading and were crispy. 10 wings was enough to split between two people.

Great service, super friendly and polite staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you enter it gives off counter order vibes as it's right by the door with a small kitchen behind it. However, we were seated and it's a table service place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Though short on staff, we felt taken care of. We were 4 so ordered the sampler platter, ramen, mozz sticks and cheese corn. They fire the cheese corn at the table which was cool. The sampler came with 3 chicken flavors, garlic soy, yangyum and fried which can be spiced to your liking. Garlic soy was the best. The chicken was generally well fried though i wish the saucing was more even. The ramen is packaged with toppings added, they tell you upfront. We asked for several refills of the slaw that accompanied the chicken. It was good. This is a solid k-fried chicken place. I don't think you'd go wrong by dining here.

The best way to describe this place is Korean comfort food. It is just good and tasty and yummy. I got the Honey garlic on my chicken. It had hone garlic on it. Just perfect. I got the buttered soy rice as well. It was butter rice with soy sauce. Why was it so good? As I said. Comfort food. Simple. Tasty. Good.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came at around 2pm on a Sunday and it was decently busy for a small restaurant. The tables were maybe 3/4 full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was only one woman dealing with customers. I think she was the owner. She definitely had boss energy lol she was super friendly and helpful, even while being busy running all over the restaurant. She took to-go orders at the front, took orders at tables, and ran all food out to the tables. She had great energy, being so nice and hardworking, it made me want to come back to support her business. Food came out pretty fast. First small dish came out within 5-10 mins and the last entree came out in about 20 mins. Wings come slightly spicy with ranch and a small cabbage slaw. Also, you can get 2 flavors with the 10pc wings! Not sure how many flavors you get with the other counts, but just ask when ordering. GREEN ONION SLAW: I think I got the large on accident because I didn't specify size, so be careful about that. It was good, but I would've preferred the smaller size because it was only me eating it. The sauce is only drizzled on top, so it didn't feel like enough for how much green onions there were. I ended up ordering more sauce. HONEY GARLIC BREADED WINGS: Very mild flavor, despite having a little kick to it. I didn't mind that much because the chicken itself was so good, but I wouldn't get this flavor again. Loved the fry and crispy texture though. It was also super moist! MANGO BBQ BREADED WINGS: Good, but I couldn't taste any mango. It seemed difficult to pull off anyway, so I wasn't surprised. It just tasted like a good, slightly sweet bbq. Very flavorful though. YANGYUM COMBO: Came with 4 pieces. A leg, a small thigh, a full wing, and a fourth unidentified piece of white meat. We couldn't figure out what that last piece was lol regardless, though, this was delicious! Very flavorful and moist! Had a little kick to it, and nicely sweet! Highly recommend this flavor! FRENCH FRIES: Very lightly salted. I didn't think it was salted at all, but you could see the salt if you looked closely. I would've wanted more salt/seasoning, but we were given ketchup, which made it better. Cooked a little more than I prefer. More hard than soft. FRIED RICE CAKES: I got this on a whim, so I didn't think much about it, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I think I was thinking "pan-fried" rice cakes...these were "fried" fried. Crunchy and airy. Came with a sweet dipping sauce. They weren't bad, but not what I wanted. If I had ordered them knowing what they were, I probably would've enjoyed it a lot more. Worth a try if you like crunchy snacks.

Amazing high quality Korean fried chicken!! I've been here a couple of different times and each time the service was great and the workers were super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop can get busy quickly but atmosphere is great for a couple of friends or even a date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend the Korean fried chicken with the Yangyum sauce. Perfect level of sweetness and spice! I prefer to go for the boneless because they're easier to eat, but either way is good to be honest. Appetizers such as the corn cheese are also very good! I'll definitely keep coming back when I'm in the area!

I was looking for Korean style chicken, and this one came up on a search. The search is over, I found the best spot. I ordered the half and half combo, half fried original and half yangyum, and both were delicious. The fried original was hot fresh and crispy, and the yangyum was also crispy, covered in a spicy and a bit sweet sauce. I got the level 3 spicy, and it was just right for a first visit. The service was excellent as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the casual atmosphere, very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be returning in the future to try other flavors.

Had a late night craving for fried chicken so my friends and I came here! We opted to share 20 wings. Plain is not listed as a flavor for the wings but they're my favorite so I requested to make it half plain and half yangyum. I'm so glad I did because the plain wings were so much better. They were crispy and seasoned well. Perfect with ranch. The yangyum was more on the sweet side which I didn't care for too much. The cabbage salad in the middle is pretty good so make sure you don't skip trying that!

Food was so amazing! Best Korean Fried Chicken we've ever had! I've been to multiple places and we always come back here! We always feel welcomed and at home! Definitely recommend coming here for great vibes and amazing food! 10/10 will not disappoint

Not bad at all. The rice with butter and soy was surprisingly such a delicious side. I honestly could eat like 4 of em.... I know cuz I almost did. The cheese chicken is probably the best of the flavors. The rose rice cakes were pretty good. Worth a visit.

I had VERY high hopes as this place was voted the best Korean fried chicken in DFW. I was expecting battered, double fried and extra crispy type of wings. I guess I should've known when they offered ranch with the wings But it reminded me more of Popeyes wings covered in some seasoning than Korean fried chicken. The original, tasted like Popeyes, with a little bit of spice. The spicy was spicy, but only seasoned on one side. The soy and their sweet and spicy were average. Overall, it was good, but not something to write home about.

Always love coming to No.1 Plus Chicken! The platter is a great way to try the different versions of Korean fried chicken and the mixed fries lets you try different sides. Highly rec the cheese corn as well. The owner is the best. She's super attentive and clearly cares so much about the restaurant. I loved coming to this location, truly enjoyed it. It has been some time since I've been back, but sadly it tastes like a corporate shop no soul,chicken was overly dry and spicy it was just not edible , We lost our taste buds! The Ramen ,I could have driven to Hmart and bought some Jin ramen and added a boiled egg. Our server he was young not a busy night, but he could have been at least a lil more attentive, at least I got a thumbs up once, as an acknowledgment after reminding him of my drink. I was happy, "yay no wait time" not like before 2 people roughly 45min to 1hr 1/2 wait. And now I understand the no wait time. read more

Recently moved to the Dallas area and I would have to say this has been one of my favorite meals. The space itself was on the smaller side, so there may be a little wait depending on the day/time. The staff were kind and excellent. They helped us decide on what to order. We tried the Double Onion Specialty Chicken and the Classic Half & Half. The chicken itself was so crispy on the outside, yet moist on the inside. The Yangyum flavor was my favorite - highly recommend. I saw many other tables get the wing platters, which we may try next time. I've never had Korean fried chicken before, but after this meal I definitely want to come back! read more

Delicious food. Fast, friendly service. Dive-like ambiance. The rosé rice cakes/ttokbokki was the absolute favorite part of my meal, I will probably get this every time now that I've had it. My friend got the green onion chicken and I got to try the salad and I'll probably get that as a side salad from now on because it's that good. The honey mustard dressing it comes with is just perfect. Great soju options and I love the Chex mix they give as you wait for the food -- very reminiscent of "drinking snacks" I grew up watching the adults eat whenever they got together to drink. 4 stars because there was this really gross bug that crawled right next to our table that looked like a cross between a roach and a silver bug. We didn't bother telling the server because it scurried away and out of sight but it definitely was on my mind the entire rest of the meal. read more

Korean chicken has been a very big staple in the Dallas area with the rise of the Korean boom. But no one talks about the old Korea town. As such I am no stranger to Korean chicken. I have tried a great many Korean chickens and all have paled in comparison to this place and location. The saucy chicken requires a glove to be eaten with which they provide and the flavorful sauce tells a myriad or sensations that shows you exactly why they are called No 1. Don't even get me started on their Tteok-bokki which has left me unsatisfied with regular tteokboki because this place is so good. This place deserves a 10/5 stars read more

Response to owner: I appreciate the time you've taken to respond to my review, but let's not mince words. When I reported someone sneezing on my food, it was a real event I witnessed -- not a misperception. To suggest otherwise is to question my honesty and experience. A genuine acknowledgment of this error and a commitment to prevent future incidents would have been a more appropriate response. Furthermore, the offer to remake a meal is a standard recourse, but it does not address the immediate discomfort and dissatisfaction I felt, nor does it address the lapse in training your team supposedly has. Concerning the overcooked food, you said a lot but there was no mention in your response of how you plan to address quality control moving forward. Reheating or refrying food that a customer has handled raises significant food safety concerns, and your response explains why your team has a complete disregard for proper food handling standards. The phrase "it gets better every time" is inappropriate and of touch when a long-time customer reports a decline in their dining experience. This shows that there is a disconnect between customer feedback and your business's self-image. Going forward, you should treat customer feedback not as one-off incidents but as valuable insights for continual improvement in service and food quality. Unfortunately, following this recent experience and your response, I have decided to cease patronizing your establishment, which I have supported consistently since 2015. It seems you are confident in your business approach, even if it means losing long-standing customers. Original Review: They were super busy which is great, but I'm still a paying customer. A few things: The chicken and fries were super overcooked and inedible. I paid $18 for my food and am throwing it in the trash while still hungry. The guy managing orders SNEEZED on MY FOOD then handed it to me. I think it might've been the spices, but still that's nasty AH and who deserves to have their food sneezed on right in front of them. Gross. 3. I brushed off the sneeze, and felt the fries which were hard and overcooked. I thought maybe they got cold and the grease seized up so I said can y'all warm them up or something. Also thinking this might kill some of the sneeze germs. They took my SEASONED FRIES that I had my hands all over and threw them back in the fryer with the fries that already cooking. H-naw. They used to be good, I started coming back in 2015. Now, the food has declined and prices increased. It was fun while it lasted. I recommended this place to others who have reported that the food wasn't as good the last time they visited as well (within the last year). It was great while it lasted. read more

Had a great experience for our first time. The owner was quirky but nice. Started with some fried dumplings...deliciousness! We had their sampler platter (not its name, but can't remember the actual name). It was delicious. Our favorite was the garlic oil. The other two were also pretty solid. The joint is small and clean. We've been to several KFCs in Aurora CO, and this joint is similar. Can't wait to try them again. read more

I have to say...out of all the KFC places this has been the top by far. Before I thought Carrollton had good fried chicken but this was just next level. The plain chicken but it was so crispy and juicy. They also provided some plastic gloves to keep our hands clean which was also very nice. We also got cheese tteokbokki which was VERY cheesy (could be a pro or con but was a super pro for us). Price is a bit steep but worth every penny in my opinion. Next time I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors! read more

B was our server and service was great! Manager came out and checked on us and was very personable. Food came out quick and hot and fresh and the wait was not long at all for a Friday night. I'm from CA so I'm picky with my korean fried chicken and this place hits close to home!! Not too much seating but it seems they get you in and out!! Recommend this place over soju dallas 101, will be back before my visit is over!! Ordered the corn cheese, fries, radish, and chicken platter which comes with the 4 most popular flavors. Would recommend for 2-3 people! read more

This is the only place in DFW that I can eat fried chicken outside of my house because of my food allergies. The batter is egg-free and dairy-free and made in its own fryer which is SUPER unusual. That aside, the chicken is fantastic: perfectly crispy and tender. The service is quick and the waitstaff are attentive. I hope they decide to build an additional location in Carrollton! read more

We came on a Wednesday night around 7:15. Wasn't busy and we were seated immediately. The owner was our server! She's so lovely. Took our order quickly. And the food came pretty fast! Here's our review of each dish: Fried dumplings: This was the first thing that came to the table. And wow! Extremely crispy and tasty. I loved the sauce that came with it. Sweet. maybe with a hint of tang. All of us really enjoyed it. Set us up to look forward to all the chicken to come. Platter: This contains 4 flavors - the original, yangyum, soy, garlic. Medium spice was our choice. Overall, the chicken is so delicious - flavorful inside and out. My favorite flavor was the yangyum! My husband liked soy the best. But there's something to be said about a solid classic original fried chicken. Truly fried to perfection. Green Onion Chicken Specialty: These are white meat nugs. This was my favorite dish! It came with a huge bed of greens on top with a honey mustardy dressing. They call it the house made green onion sauce. Yo. It's good. The green onion wasn't overpowering for those concerned. For GO lovers like me, I will always accept more! Cr@ck Chicken Specialty: $&@! How funnn. I love a good yellow cheese powder. When it came to the table I said it reminded me of Krafts mac n cheese powder (which I love. Don't hate plz). But it doesn't taste like Krafts. It has its own cheesiness. Stopped by to try out some authentic Korean chicken. I was not disappointed, it really took me back to my trip to the peninsula. The korean rice cake "tteokbokki" has really become a favorite of mine. I got my chicken at a medium/#2 but wished I would have went with spicy/#3. The flavor and breading was perfect. read more

Very cute and small place is a hidden gem with a lot of great menu options. Everything was made to order so be prepared to wait. The combo options are a good deal, but if you order separate items it does get pricey. I ordered the Teriyaki wings (8 count) with fries, soda, and a beer. Wings were good, but I like mine extra crispy. The sauce was good though! I'd give it another chance, but this wasn't my favorite. Honestly I will say it was very busy and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. So don't let my review scare you away. I think I just didn't order the right things. read more

I really really cannot stress how great this place is. I forgot our waiter's name but he was super funny and pleasant. It was a perfect spot and it feels kind of hidden. Fried chicken. I mean it's fried chicken. Yum. The chicken was cooked quite well but the beauty of this chicken is the sauces the fried chicken is bathed in. There was a Yangyum (sweet and spicy), a soy glazed, and a sweet sautéed garlic (my personal favorite). Along with the chicken came cole slaw, a good addition. I also tried their kimchi fries which consisted of waffle fries covered with kimchi then smothered with cheese -- winner! I must say that it was an impressive place with and nice cozy atmosphere. The menu was simple yet intriguing, I wanted to order so many things. To make things worse, everything being brought out around me looked amazing, especially the sautéed spicy clam and mussels dIsh (I will return to conquer that dish). Any place that serves curly fries and kimchi is damn fine in my book! I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and while we typically check out K Town in Carrolton, I wanted to try K Town Lite one night. We stopped for dinner on a Friday night and surprised there wasn't a wait. This place is small so if you plan it right, you can get sat right away and not have to suffer through a wait like the people standing around when we left. Service was awesome, never got her name but she was peppy, fun and knowledgable. I should have took her look of surprise when we wanted to order a second meal after I ordered the green onion chicken. My favorite korean fried chicken place in old Ktown - right in the Komart / Sura plaza. Would really recommend eating in instead of doing takeout. Fresh fried chicken is always a superior experience. They open late too, so you can grub late night and enjoy some soju. I love ordering the 3 flavor platter, it'll show you how good all of their flavors are even though the sweet garlic remains my personal favorite. Can't go wrong with yangyum wings either! Short and simple, this place is a must visit if you're in Irving's lil' Korea Town. I usually order the whole sweet sautéed garlic chicken (traditional bone-in) if it's just 2 of us, but with parties, I'd get the green onion chicken and some wings. The yangyum chicken is decent, just not as savory as I'd prefer from the garlic flavor. Even if you hate garlic (what are you, a vampire??), you should not skimp on that golden decision. I skip the sides altogether because if you're going to eat all of your grub you will NOT be needing any of that lol. Your arteries will thank you later. I love the food here! The chicken is always cooked to perfect with the best sauce. We usually get the platter and sample everything! It is good size for 3 people for such a good price! Also got the Green Onion Chicken! The green onions might look intimidating but it pairs together so perfectly! Warning the restaurant is small, so I would not bring super big groups. And there is a slight smell to this restaurant. They did just open a bigger location in Garland to help house bigger groups! I would recommend going there too. No matter what! Went to No. 1 Plus Chicken for lunch today! Got their Sampler Platter that included their fried chicken and featured their 4 most popular flavors. Choose your spice level from 1-5 and you're good to go! We also ordered some fries. There was enough food for two of us to eat and have leftovers for another meal for both of us. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

The Atmosphere: It's loud enough to drown out your internal monologue telling you to stop eating. It's the only place in Dallas where you can spend $100 and still need a bib like a giant, fancy infant. Final Verdict: Go here if you want to feel like a king, but dress like you've given up on life. Elastic waistbands are not a suggestion; they are a requirement.

Food: the BEST ddukbbokki I have ever had. The red sauce is sweet and spicy but not overwhelming and filled with LOTS of super gooey mozzarella cheese that just took it to a whole different level. I also really liked the sauteed garlic chicken which had no shortage of garlic and honey and full of flavor. The sweet and spicy flavor was good but forgettable, both chicken plates were super crispy and not too heavy also. Atmosphere-clean, nice for a small double date since there's enough privacy booths and seems pretty cozy. Service-very friendly and prompt, they recommend ordering ahead next time since it takes awhile to make the chicken. Price-ok, not too bad since a lot of korean chicken joints charge heftier prices. read more
