I love ordering take out here. Portion sizes are well. She is the sweetest lady ever. I know that because of her my food is handled with care.

I don't normally write reviews and only write reviews when I have a really really terrible experience. I blindly trusted the reviews and I will say take this as a warning... I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch special and I took two bites of the beef and one bite of the rice and threw it away. I can stomach a subpar meal just so I have something for lunch but this was so bad I could not finish it. The beef looks discolored and the sauce was sour, almost like it was spoiled or had been sitting out for too long. The rice smelled like rice that had been out for too long, which is not safe and a big food safety issue. The food did not taste fresh, which I can manage, but it tasted spoiled. I ended up having stomach cramps 30 minutes afterwards. This was the type of bad meal you'd ask for a refund for, very disgusting and upsetting. The cabbage in the egg roll had a tangy off-putting taste that I would like to believe is just their way of seasoning their egg rolls and not because the pungent odor of the cabbage which is similar to the smell of rotten cabbage.

It's tucked away in a corner towards the back of the plaza so you could easily pass by it. Service alone, 10/10. The staff was so friendly and kind - it might possibly be one of the best services I have experienced and they make me want to come back whenever I'm in Dallas. Besides the service, the food was delicious. Sometimes one is just in the mood for some jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk. This combo alone is satisfying and what would be my usual order when I'm craving Korean-Chinese food. We had a bigger party of 5 so we also ordered fried rice, fried chicken, and wontons. The food was still good the next day. Unlimited banchan. We asked for extra kimchi to go as well.

I've never been to a Korean/Chinese fusion restaurant but I'm all here for it! There should be a Royal Wok in every city! Definitely a hole-in-a-wall type restaurant, the charm of the workers and great customer service was great! And if you're reading this and not Asian or don't speak Korean - don't be afraid of coming here, I saw a table of elderly Caucasian folks who looked to be regulars- they ordered some of the best dishes to have here! We had the black bean noodles - a must get! A great huge portion which you can definitely share. If you have trouble cutting the noodles before consuming - don't be afraid to ask for help. Sweet and sour pork - crisp to perfection - sauce on the side is the way to go so your pork doesn't get soggy fast! Garlic fried chicken - my favorite dish here, excellent crisp, great tasting, great portion! There was other dishes that were ordered but I stuck with the basics above. I would definitely come back here when I am ever in the Dallas are craving some good Asian food!

This place is a hidden gem that has been around for a while - it has all the classic Chinese dishes as well as Korean Chinese dishes like jampong, with good portion sizes and very fair prices. It's on my regular rotation - had the shrimp with lobster sauce and it was phenomenal!

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!

We ate egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and soup, followed up by orange beef and beef fried rice. The crab Rangoon could have used more stuffings, but what was there was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the orange beef. The tenderness of the beef and the taste of the sauce was on point. Definitely don't pass on this one if you are craving Chinese food. Note: they do serve peanuts before the meal, so watch for that with allergies!

The people are the exact same. It was truly a feeling of nostalgia that's hard to describe. My favorite dish has always been, and still is, the bamboo shoots with pork. It is so fragrant, umami, and simply delicious. The west lake soup is also a classic done so well - pro tip to add white pepper to give it a little kick. The steamed pork belly was okay - sauce is flavorful (a touch salty) along with the preserved greens but the pork wasn't as tender as I had remembered it. The fish filets are fried to perfection, full of salt/pepper flavor, and pairs well with the jalapeños. If you don't like fish, you can get the same flavor with the pork version of this dish, which I also really like. The service can be a little slow because it's just 1 chef and 1 waitress who own the restaurant - same people that have run the show since I first came here probably almost 30 years ago! Incredible to see them still working so hard and serving delicious food. They'll never know how much their restaurant and food means to me!

**This review is based on a Sunday evening to-go order.**…read more While these folks were polite on the phone and in-person -- and the restaurant was bright and clean when I came in to pick up my order -- I cannot recommend this place. First, I ordered the Chinese Fried Chicken (half), which is supposed to be brined in soy and hoisin, then deep fried in a light batter. This chicken was no more brined than a rock in the desert, and it was just as dry, even the dark meat pieces. The steamed rice was fine, as was the beautiful bok choy. The dish, overall was a huge disappointment. The chicken lo mein was also a letdown, as it had an underlying sweetness that I've never experienced with this dish. Two bites were taken and it (along with the chicken) ended up in the hotel trash can. A couple of positives: I enjoyed the hot & sour soup, and the egg rolls tasted as if they were rolled in-house, which is a rarity these days. I live a few hundred miles down the road and don't get to downtown Dallas very often, so the odds of me patronizing this place again is already slim. But, in the event I find myself here in the future, I will avoid this restaurant.
