I think they book the tables on phone calls so they should have mentioned it instead of saying wait to be seated. NO.1 Plus Chicken is hands down my top favorite Korean chicken spot in the DFW area! I loveeee getting the Yangnyeom chicken with extra rice cakes -- it's the perfect combo. The chicken is always crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the portion sizes are super generous. I almost always end up with leftovers (which is a win because it tastes just as good the next day!). What makes it even more special is the owner -- she's incredibly sweet, and it was so nice getting to see her in person at this location. The menu is still the same, with famous Korean fried chicken as its main. We ordered a whole Original Fried Chicken to share, with sides of fries and steamed rice. The rice, unfortunately, never made it to the table. But at least they were quick to remove the charge from the bill. The chicken is fresh and cooked with that signature crunch on the outside and juicy meat inside. However, I wasn't much of a fan of that powdery "spicy" seasoning it I was hoping for a well marinated(as the menu describes it) in which the chicken could stand on its own without the spice dust. I love this place. First of all, it's one of the few places in town that fries their chicken without eggs or dairy, which is incredibly rare. I have allergies to both and mostly could enjoy a treat like this at home once or twice a year. That aside, the spicy fried chicken has a great flavor, especially with the sesame soy glaze.
