After trying several restaurants in the Clermont area I found my go to place for Chinese food. I've been coming here for the last 6 yrs. Food is always ready in 10-15 minutes. Prices are incredibly reasonable especially for lunch and the portion sizes. As i see in other reviews, people say they are very business focused. What do you want? This isint a Ramada? I have no idea how this restaurant could've got anything above 2 stars!!! I ordered General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken and Hunan chicken and all 3 Meals were, putting it nicely, Way below subpar! The chicken was very fatty and had several pieces with Cartlidge in it! We ordered lo mein noodles instead of rice and they were as absolutely plain and unsavory as could be. I love the food here! I'm originally from Philadelphia and it reminds me of Chinese food on the east coast. My favorites are shrimp egg foo young and shrimp and broccoli. I was on vacation. It rained here all night. My wife said why don't' we get Chinese take out. Unfamiliar with the area I was in and knowing Orlando is known for the most horrendous Chinese dining venues, I decided to seek out the reviews of Yelp members. I saw wonderful reviews for this place. I ventured out, well the place was merely sixteen miles away. Who in their right mind would drive sixteen miles for take out? Well, I was hungry enough to try it, so I did. Its a small place tucked into a mini strip of stores. I got there just in time before the maddening rush. I put in my order. Service was very pleasant and helpful. She told me it would take twenty minutes. I got my order and went back to my resort. We sat down to eat. The food was absolutely delicious. Loads of all kinds of vegetables and fish. I ordered too much food for two. There was, House Special Soup, a full quart swimming in shrimp, crab, chicken, pork and veggies($5.95), Young Chow fried rice, a pint of roast pork with more veggies ($5.25),and jumbo shrimp with even more veggies($5.75). The menu states we only use jumbo shrimp. I just wish there was a place like this where I live. Excellent food and plenty of it, all super high quality. Chinese the way it's supposed to be, enough said. Very satisfied. Easy to get to and 10 minutes on the dot.

Better than many of the other take-out places around here. Friendly, actual flavor in the food (e.g. not too "Americanized"), and their hot-and-sour soup is loaded with fresh mushrooms and other vegetables unlike many places where it is almost all broth. Although I have not found any chinese place in Clermont that will make "spicy" food actually spicy, this one has come the closest so far. I order from here on a regular basis despite a Chinese (and Japanese) restaurant opening up by our subdivision in the last two years along with there also being another Chinese take-out half-way between here and there. Recently when I went there I was talking with someone else also picking up food who was also all the way from Groveland who said the exact same thing - best place around. read more

Moved to Clermont 2 years ago and I am trying out various Chinese take outs in the area. No 1 Wok was next on the list so I decided to give them a try. I ordered the bourbon chicken with pork fried rice with extra pork in the rice. I find that most restaurants never put enough pork in the rice so I always pay for extra pork in my rice. I have to say this dish was pretty good and so far, No 1 Wok beats out the other Chinese fast food restaurants that I've tried to date. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because while the rice was good (reminded me of NY style fried rice), it didn't appear to me to have the "extra" amount of pork in the rice that I paid for. That being said, I enjoyed the food and will probably patronize them again. UPDATE: Gave this place a second try. Ordered the General Tso's combo--unfortunately, it tasted like fried dough tossed in sweet/sour sauce! I also paid for extra pork in my fried rice again but like the previous order I reviewed, I guess they forgot to add it in again! I ended up throwing the entire container of food away. The fact that for the second time my rice didn't include the extra pork I ordered I wont be ordering from here again-What a disappointment! read more

We moved to Groveland from NJ 5 months ago. We still haven't found a good Chinese Restaurant. So we deceided to try No. 1 Wok. I really wanted to like this place. In my mind, just maybe this is the one! Well it wasn't. We ordered Egg Drop Wonton Soup, extra Noodles, 2 Egg Rolls and Three Dishes. While I was waiting for the food to be prepared. I sat at a very sticky table ( the other two were not to clean either). The restaurant was pretty busy with take out orders. Our food was ready in 15 minutes. The take out food was crammed in a box to small for the order. When I picked it up, I almost dropped the whole meal. The Woman behind the counter just shrugged. My Family was starving when I got home. While my Wife started to unpack the food. I opened a bag of Noodles and to my surprise, they were stale. I proceeded to open the other two bags and they also were Stale. So now we don't have Noodles for our Soup. The Egg Drop wonton Soup was very thick. Much to much Corn Starch. The Wontons were also very gooey. We weren't on to a good start. The other 3 Dishes were not to great either. They do give you plenty of food for the price. But this is not Authentic NY style Chinese food. Too bad! Also the Egg Rolls were terrible. All in all we will not be going back there. The next day I wanted to stop by and ask the owner about the 3 bags of stale Noodles. But I decided it wasn't worth my time. We ate very little of the food. Wasted $50.00 and threw most of it out 3 days later. Hopefully we will find some thing better. Any Suggestions! read more

This place is your basic neighborhood Chinese pace, food is prepared fast even when you don't order ahead, nothing great or spectacular to note, they are pretty clean, store front has like 2 tables and some chairs if you are dining in(why though?) Owners/staff not rude(big plus) but like I said basic, you get what you pay for- portion size is good. Its hard to understand her & she can be very nasty at times. If they could find someone else to take orders & deal with customers I would have given it 5 stars. I have lived in Clermont for over six years now and came from the Northeast in Jersey where we have a chinese joint every other block. Great food up north. This place is the best in town. (have sampled at least 4 other places) in the immediate area. Thier portions are the best, food is always hot and the order has only been wrong one time( I eat here no less then twice a month), They use fresh ingredients and very efficient. I've noticed that wait times have grown since I've moved in the area but that's to be expected as their rep grows. I highly recommend this restaurant and their spicy General Zoe's is to die for----shrimp fried rice is good too. Much better then Citrus Tower chinese where they have a Mexican cooking and everything he makes tastes like a freaking taco...hope this helps read more

The chicken in the sweet and sour chicken is the best I've ever had. Most chinese places put way more breading than chicken but No 1 Wok has a light breading and the chicken is juicy white meat (not dried out) with flavor. The crab rangoon had a good portion of filling and I could taste the crab. The rice was moist and had really good flavor. I would've rated them a 5 but they don't always deliver so you have to ask if they'll do it every time you call in. Also, We've eaten there before and it's been ok but never quite this good. We have found our favorite place for Chinese in the Clermont area. After living in the area for 3 years and eating at other local Chinese restaurants, this place beats the others we have had. The food has great flavor and you get a lot for what you pay. We tried the egg foo young, chicken and broccoli, and the General Tso chicken. All were very good including the fried rice and egg rolls. Have tried three different Chinese restaurants and I must say, #1 Wok is by far the tastiest of them all. I am very particular when it comes to Chinese food and this one is definitely the best.
