The staff was friendly and attentive. We got to try the all the oysters and many appertizers, along with one dessert. Everything was thoughtfully crafted with deep knowledge for ingredients, appreciation for flavors, and an eye for creativity. The mussels dish stood out as the most memorable experience. Honestly, the entire experience here was one of the greatest highlights of our trip. We look forward to coming back someday!

Not worth the hype at all. Below average fare at above average prices. I came here because,…read moreaccording to numerous online sources, this is the place to try while in Copenhagen. They are all wrong. I ordered the oysters, mussels, bread and seaweed butter, tomato salad, and languste. In order, the oysters were pretty good. They were one of two things I enjoyed. However, my stomach didn't feel very good after eating them. The mussels were below average. I've had much better, there just wasn't much flavor to them and the sauce they were in tasted fairly average. The bread and seaweed butter were very good--the bread specifically. The seaweed butter just tasted like butter. The tomato salad was average, it was a little too creamy for my liking. The languste was horrible. I was assured it would taste similar to lobster, it in fact did not. It had a rather funny taste to it, that I wouldn't describe as good. It was meant for two and neither of us found it appealing. It was 1800 DKK, about $275, we shouldn't have ordered it. The establishment is extremely busy, they seem understaffed. Their staff are running this way and that way and it's difficult to get someone's attention. Ambiance is alright. I think if it was a little less busy then it would be nice but the sheer volume of people subtracts from the vibe. Overall do not recommend and I wouldn't come back. Very overrated.

Always on the search for some authentic food native to the culture, you can certainly find it here. But you can also find lots of other stuff, too like tacos with fresh tortillas and mochi ice cream! FOOD: Some of it was great! Some of it okay. The smorebord was good but not the best I've had. Still I had the Danish meatball one and the smoked salmon one - both good but not great. Loved the fried fish and the pork belly! Supremely awesome. The mochi ice cream was a treat and the French meringue were simply delicious. I bit undercooked for me, but I can't turn down a good meringue. SERVICE: Overall, good. Nice portions. Great plating. And the people were all very nice. More like quick service but that's what you want from a place like this so you can experience different places. COST: Worth it. Nothing was overblown. All were a tad bit on the higher side, but not more than you would epxect. Definitely a fun place to go and check out.

WHAT A LITTLE GEM! 4.8…read more As we strolled around the area of our hotel, we came across this lovely neighborhood market. Flower stands with freshly cut flowers and an abundance of vegetable crates colored the exterior of the building's grounds. The enclosed building is made from beautiful glass and metal, with the inside feeling open and airy, making it feel a bit like a greenhouse with its natural lighting. We found an assortment of shops offering meats, condiments, pastries, baked goods, coffee, fresh seafood, pastas, prepared salads, sushi, lunch spots, cured meats, nuts, beer, wine, fresh herbs, sandwiches, caviar, ice cream, cheeses, housewares and gift items; quite the assortment here! The only thing that was difficult to find were non-food gifts for our friends that were actually made in Denmark. Most were manufactured overseas. We stopped and had a wonderful lunch at the very popular Hallernes Smørrebrød, seated at their bar. This market is definitely worth a visit.

A bar in the middle and mixed seating with table cloths gave it a fine dining feel. They are known for their extensive Wine and Champagne list and that definitely lived up to the billing. We ordered a bottle of Zuccardi 2021 Torrontes-light, fruity and paired perfectly with Brunch. Extensive list of Brunch selections that came out as a Seafood tower- Shrimp from Smögen, king crab, prawn salad, crayfish in garlic, seafood salad, cured fjord salmon, herring, fish pâté, smoked salmon, langoustine, cucumber and horseradish salad, eggs, bread, sauces-all so fresh and delicious! Fish and Chips were tasty and we finished with a White Chocolate Mousse. Service was friendly-that said, could've been more attentive. We did have a chance to speak with the owner and he shared how they've recently redesigned their interior. For our party of four, about $60 USD or 600 SEK per person for a Seafood Lover's Brunch. Lives up to "the city's coolest Sunday Brunch" billing!

The wine list looked okay - with a minimum price per bottle probably close to $60. Any wine can be had by the glass, with the price of the glass simply a quarter price of a bottle - don't know how big the pour is. As the result, my choice of drink was sparkling water. The restaurant offers the tasting menu with 3 dishes, but somehow I didn't feel like dessert (one of the 3 dishes), so I decided to create my own tasting menu. My first dish was seafood soup, some sort of a bisque, which was good but not necessarily a standout. For the second dish I was looking for something reasonably priced, so I ended up with the white asparagus creation, which again was okay, but rather small for the entrée dish - I guess you get what you pay for. Service was friendly but rather slow. No recommendation on this one - may be someone will make better choices.

They served both seafood and steaks but more seafood options. There also was a 3 and 4 course option for those hungry diners. We started with a single plate of fried squid that was a good size for us to share. Most were cut into French fry like sticks which was different presentation and then fried. All pieces weee dusted with paprika and came with a side of lemon mayo for dipping. Squid had a good chew to it and a good start off to our dinner. Mussels came in a huge pot, the largest serving to date. We ended up filling two bowls with shells. The wine broth was quite delicious and the bread was perfect for dipping and soaking up that goodness. The whole seabass was another well done dish covered in greens and easy to debone. The fish was light and tender. Service was attentive. A bread service per person was added to the check. Tiny restrooms were located next to the check in desk. The restaurant was quite busy by the time we left. We finished in less than the 2 hour time allotment noted in our reservation. Would revisit should we have the opportunity to return to Copenhagen.

I ordered the moules marinieres (mussels) and my fiance ordered the fish collar. The portions were large, as I didn't expect my moules to be such a large bowl. But honestly, not a complaint! Fries, salad, all entrees were delectable. No notes. Service was friendly and in Europe, definitely not fast paced like in USA. I didn't care as we had no urgency and on vacation. What a way to start off my European trip!
