Well the pizza place is back in the game! New ownership! The first couple orders we had were great....pizza and wings A+. Delivery takes about an hour but they are busy! The last couple orders...were ok. The boneless wings were chewy and they forgot our 2 liter for delivery. We have lived in town for over 10 years and this used to be our Go-To pizza place. But a few years ago every time we tried to order, the pizza wouldn't come for 45 minutes to an hour and it would come undercooked. So we quit ordering for a few years and recently we tried again. We ordered online at 330 to be delivered at 5. At 545 we tried to call and they had taken the phone off the line. So my father drove over to see what was going on. They hadn't even started cooking the pizza yet. They told him it would be ready in about 10 minutes. He waited there for 45 minutes for the pizza. If my dad hadn't have driven over there it would have been 7pm before the pizza showed up and we would have had no way of knowing that because they took their phone off the hook. We should have gotten a full refund and we didn't even get the delivery fee or tip removed from the bill. Never again. There are enough other pizza places in this town we can order from. Clearly they can't handle business. read more

Thank you for being the only other pizza spot in Taneytown besides Pizza Hut! Order from No Anchovies all the time.. too many times lol! The Ruben pizza is a must try, very creative. Sometimes it seems like the phone rings forever or they're not answering but really they are just that busy. They always tell me delivery will take about 50 minutes, but Its never taken that long. I forgot to bring lunch one day and had to find something in the nearby area. If you're familiar with the area...not too many choices around here. Stumbled upon No Anchovies and decided to give it a try. If you move past the decor or lack thereof, the pizza is pretty decent and the guy is nice and quick. I ordered a 12 inch pizza with mushrooms and green peppers and got it within 10-15mins for $11! It's no New York pizza but surprisingly decent for the area. If I ever forget lunch, I'll be coming back for some pizza. read more

THE WORST SERVICE SINCE THE ORIGINAL OWNER LEFT. My family LOVED no anchovies pizza, and we never had an issue before the owner retired. Since then, not only has the service been absolutely trash but the quality of the pizza has gone down. Tonight we decided to try them one more time. It's been over an hour since we received what time our food should be delivered and I have yet to be able to get through to talk to someone about this. Tim and family have managed to corner the market and dominate for many many years. I have ordered more than my share of pie from No Anchovies in the last 35 years and I have never had a bad experience. I go classic cheese well done with lite sauce. The shop is carryout and delivery only and menu includes: pizza, bread/cheese sticks wings, salads, Tiramisu (dessert), and sodas. Seasonal pizzas are also available such as the Ruben Pizza and the Flying Pig :) Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and Buffalo Chicken pizzas are to DIE for! Most of his employees have worked there for years, some more than a decade. I have never had a bad meal - ever. They run as a carry-out & delivery only - serving pizza, wings, and salads.Tim makes his own delicious pizza sauce, and all food is made with fresh ingredients. It's a quaint little shop, the perfect size for a local pie joint. I love the energy at No Anchovies. You walk in once, and will be remembered every time you pick up your pie. Every single person who works there will go out of there way to make you feel like your the only customer. On the weekends it can get busy so be sure to allow enough time for the staff to prepare your food accordingly. They play with ingredients and come up with new concoctions all the time. Unfortunately our car was hit by a deer on our way to dinner in the Brandywine Valley. After our car left to be towed to a body shop, we were still hungry. Lo and Behold! Across from where we were left carless was Concord Pizza. Greeted by lights and wonderful fragrances, our first order of business: order pizza. Next find a way to get back to our B and B. We were on a three day getaway, and had no idea where we were, or how far away was our lodging. When we called the numbers for taxis, one was permanently out of business and the other said they could come in three hours. Meanwhile the owner of the shop was checking on us, and after we finished our absolutely delicious pizza and two hours in the shop, she proved to be our good samaratain! She knew where we were staying, and asked her delivery driver if he would take us home! She went above and beyond to help us ... customers she probably would never see again!
