This place a nice little hidden gem. We were in town for some softball games today and with an hour ride home, we want to find something for our 3 kids to eat. The 1st thing you notice are the prices. Too high for simple American Italian food. A simple salad is not worth $7.59 but that's what they charge. $2.05 for all drinks, only 1refill. The nachos supreme sounded delicious until she confirmed they use liquid cheese. Why is an Italian restaurant in the twentyfirst century using liquid cheese? My 12" pizza had delicious mozzarella cheese! And so did my salad which was crisp and cold just the way I like it. Overall, a 12" NY-Style pizza, a salad and a Coke came to $20. Husband and I were at Antrim 1844 and decided to split a snack. We ordered the crab cake sandwich and onion rings.... the sandwich was absolutely delicious, filled with lump crabmeat and little filler. I forgot to snap a photo before we finished it. My husband and I are new to Taneytown, and we've eaten at this restaurant once previously. The food was decent, the takeout service is awful. I called more than 5 times before I could get ahold of anyone to even place an order. I assumed it was a busy day or maybe short staffed so I let it go but apparently they never answer their phones because we've called many times now and we hardly ever get an answer. This is an American Italian restaurant which means not real Italian . The place is not capable of handling sudden rush. A group of 16 people showed up all of a sudden and threw them off guard. It took 50 minutes to get my simple pizza- so I suppose the kitchen is awfully slow. There was only one lady (Taby) working and she was running around all over the place. But Taby was nice as a person and tried her best to provide good customer service though she is not experienced server. Then another old As far as the food is concerned, I ordered a whole 12" pizza but I was not very impressed with the quality for the price. Also it said thin crust but not that thin. Also my hot tea water was cold so I had to send it back to make it hot. But then again, it's a small town joint and I cannot expect 5* service. read more

This place used to be amazing! They had my business for at least a solid 5 years,well that all came to an end today. The last 2x that I've ordered wings from here they were either burnt or tasted like bad oil but I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to my history with them and decided to order again. Well this time my wings came soggy, my fish filet w cheese sandwich was plastic cheese and two tiny off brand fish sticks.. that's a huge let down for an 11$ sandwich. Lived in the local area for almost ten years, and have had nothing but the worst experience at this "restaurant" establishment. Carry out/delivery staff are always screwing something up (i.e., missing order items, Wrong order, Calling from personal cell phone(s) instead of business number which makes it impossible to know who in the hell is the person calling, ask to speak to manager or owner about another screwed up order and told they are busy making pizzas... good to know the only thing they care about regarding their customers, is taking our money. My family will NEVER pay another cent to this poor excuse for a business. Here's an example of today's order... We ordered the turkey platter and bbq-hot wings and asked to pay for extra blue cheese and celery. What we got, once I arrived at the carry out counter... I was told they are out of turkey for the platter. They said they tried to call (from their personal cell phones *face palm*). Then when I just paid for the BBQ-HOT wings and went home, the wings were not BBQ-hot... just hot. There was no extra celery nor blue cheese, but got ranch dressing instead. It's not rocket science to take an order, but this place hires those who are guaranteed to get your order wrong and ruin their rep. read more

The pizza is still decent ... but we're downgrading due to a discouraging trend of over-charges in the past year. I haven't kept track, but it seems there's been at least half dozen of them? The exact count doesn't matter. It's just happening far too often to be purely accidental ... In the latest incident my wife called in an order directly from their coupon (buy a pizza for $x, and get free wings), told them she had the coupon, asked if she could upgrade the pizza from cheese to a few items and pay for the items, and they said, of course. She goes to pick up the pizza, and gets charged for the pizza at full price (not coupon price plus two items) plus gets charged full price for the "free wings." "Sorry ma'am," they say, "the coupon says cheese pizza, we can't honor it - we're not sure who you talked to on the phone, because we'd never agree to that." And so, we're not sure who's order they'll be taking next - but it sure won't be ours. read more

Food used to be great, at reasonable prices. Over the last few years, the food has become increasingly worse. We usually order subs because it's literally right up the street. But lately, the subs barely have anything in them. A cheeseburger sub barely has any burger in it, and it's usually burnt! I got a Meatball Parm yesterday, and I got 2 different rolls! And the rolls were burnt! Last week I had a hankering for an Italian style, pepperoni pizza. I called Tony's at 7:30 pm on a Friday night. They stopped taking orders because they close at 8pm. So on Saturday, I ordered that pizza before 7:30, and went to pick it up. I thought they forgot to put the pizza in the box because it didn't feel like anything was in it! When I got home, I found the pizza was a thin piece of crust, the sauce looked like it was painted on, an what I guess was the minimal of cheese they could put on a pizza.., and still call it a pizza! Did I mention they recently raised their prices? That cardboard pizza cost me about 15 bucks! And I picked it up! Half subs used to be 5 bucks, and they would fill you up. Now a half sub is 7 bucks, and there's nothing in it! After our last order, I'm done with Tony's. read more

There aren't many places to eat in Taneytown, but this place is the worse. Overpriced and food is not that good. Few menu items are ok. I placed an order for two subs and only one was delivered. When I called back I was told I couldn't get another delivered do they would give me a credit. Tried to use that credit tonight and that said nothing on their screen said that. Was then told I should have been given a credit slip. Tell me if they won't deliver another sub why would they bring me a slip? Service in the restaurant is good though. Ok so I ate here again yesterday, for lunch at my office... I got the chicken cheesesteak and Sicilian cannoli. The sandwich was good, but the cannoli was even better.
