This place is like a candy store for carnivores. It's literally almost a dozen freezers filled with meat. EVERY kind of meat - rattlesnake, elk, venison, veal, Ostrich, KANGARAOO and on and on. They have a new selection of Wagyu that looks amazing. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the sales clerk who showed me around but she was really nice. My dog should thank her, because I woldn't have found the dog snacks on my own. He got a smoked pigs ear. They also have tons of things like cheese and sausages and crackers. So even if you're not looking to stock up your freezer, this would be a great place for a picnic. I got a Wagyu cowboy butter and some breakfast sausage the woman said were amazing. Got to pick some great cuts as my wife and I are celebrating her birthday. Great quality meats, butter, and sweets. It is pricey, however, I do believe that at times the the price you're willing to pay is the quality you'll receive. Our ribeyes, in size as well as width. After a reverse year, they cut like butter, so delicious and juicy. Bought some butter from here as well, and made a compound butter with it, and we put it on the steaks. We visited the store today and we were welcomed by Brett, the owner, and he had us try a sample of the bison bacon and he invited us back to sample the french rack of goat. He then introduced us to the Lisa in the store and had her show us the selection of meats. They also had dry seasoning , pet treats, and drinks. The shop reminded me of a market that really tailors to each individual shopper. I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back. read more

Buyer Beware! I came in to get a roast for Thanksgiving. They were sold out so we bought 3 Boneless Ribeyes. It's now Thanksgiving morning and I'm in shock after I defrosted the 3 steaks ready to season. All of them have been gouged in the center and harvested to remove the best part of the steak leaving less meat and an uneven steak to grill. With this price point at $42.99 lb I expect perfectly uniform cut steak for even grilling. The pictures I post will speak volumes. I will not be returning to this meat market, I would rather purchase online from a company who doesn't deform the cut. If it wasn't Thanksgiving I would be returning these. Also note the large triangular thick dense fat in each corner to add even more weight. This isn't the shape of a standard boneless ribeye. I feel totally ripped off. read more

Discovered this place recently and omg I'm in love. Best shopping experience and fabulous products. Sweet rancher welcomes you by introducing himself and taking off his cowboy hat when he shakes your hand. Raises all the meat on his ranch in Estancia. Beef, pork, chicken, goat, elk, bison. Every cut you can imagine and all Prime. He also carries a few things from other ranches close by. His wife makes jams and jellies for the shop and they carry a few other jar products, all local. Its all pretty pricey but I think soo worth it. I did serious damage there and my grill is SINGING. This will be one of my normal spots from now on. read more

I initially called to find out about bones for my Malinois, which they had a variety, then once I was in the store I was pleasantly surprised with the selection available inside of other local items. A warning it is not for dinner tonight, to insure freshness, all the meats here are frozen at 20 below! All the meat is from Estancia NM ranches. So this place makes me think of the old joke that you can find out about a t-bone by sticking your head up a bulls rear, but you might just want to ask the butcher....they know their meat and that No Bull. They offer delivery as an option. The owner takes the delivery orders and if you tell him what you are wanting to make, he can make a pretty decent recommendation on cut. He also made the delivery for my order and it was actually pretty nice to meet the owner. I love this place. The customer service and the quality are top bar and it's local. read more

The real deal folks! So I was on the hunt for boneless duck breasts and had come up empty handed (yes, including my 'go to' Keller's). No Bull Prime was my last hope... I pulled into the parking lot, got out of my car, and was instantly greeted by Brett, whom I recognized from his photo on the website, who was tending the chili roasters. He asked if I was going to need any chili roasted ("No, not today.") and I let him know what I was looking for. His instantaneous response was: "Yes, we always have those in stock!" and then followed up by rattling off a list of all the other 'exotic' avian proteins they carried as well. Inside, the warm/instantaneous welcome was repeated by the staff inside. Asked if I had been there before, obviously not, I was given a grand orientation to the contents & qualities of the various 'reach in' freezers, most importantly the one with my precious boneless duck breasts. (NOTE: most all of the proteins for sale, including from the animals they raise, are frozen.) I loaded up my basket with the breasts, added a dozen local eggs (a steal @ $6.50), paid, said my good-byes to everyone (including Brett, still outside) and was on my way. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying some of the pork and beef. read more

Yeah, no bull. No steaks! It would be nice if they'd had the cuts we wanted. We stopped by on 11/8 to buy steaks for a 2 week cabin stay over Thanksgiving. We wanted a T-bone, porterhouse and filet. No such luck. Not until the week of Thanksgiving! Too late. But the saleswoman talked us into a $30+ 7 bone steak. Not great. Never again. We went to Keller's and got exactly what we wanted. What a fantastic meat store! While the meats are pre-cut and packaged, the cuts of meat are spot-on, aged to perfection, and perfectly sized. The staff is friendly and very knowledgable. It's always great to speak with people who are passionate about what they do and Brett is our guy! We ended up buying beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. Next visit will be for the goat and maybe some seafood. Our Ribeyes were some of the best I've had anywhere. We live over an hour away, so Brett was kind enough to provide cold packs for our cooler.
