I was told about this place through family. A hidden gem for sure. If you drive too fast, you'll miss it. They sell great looking/tasting meat. I went in just for the green chile bratwurst. Well, I ended up buying a whole lot more. They have dog bones with the marrow still in them. Yay! They are constantly butchering fresh game on site. I love the beauty of this. Be sure to call ahead if you're not close by. They run out of their tasty bratwurst easily. Anywho, shop local.

Green chile brat! Best brat ever.

Good meat but not what I consider a butcher. They cut up and package meat someone else butchers.

But it has all kinds of natural food and treats. I bought a raw goat milk cheddar, very fresh asparagus and apple pie and a few other things. They source most products from small local farms. It's kind of catch as catch can depending on what vendors have come in. I didn't buy any meat but they had some interesting stuff in the freezer. You're not going to do weekly shopping here. But if you want really nice produce and locally sourced product this is your place.

The store works with local farmers and food producers to pass along high-quality foods that are extras. The day I went there were all kinds of fresh meat, veggies, dairy, and lots of other delights, food and nonfood. They have a nice little selection of soaps and other handmade items. I tried the strawberry drinkable yogurt and it was fantastic! Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. I also got some stellar green onions that were the nicest I've seen. Everything was fresh and delicious. The store clerk was welcoming, knowledgeable, and told us all about how the store works and what we could expect. On top of that, it's a beautiful little store with lots of room inside to move freely. I will definitely be back. Although I got quite a few things while I was there, there are a lot of other items that I would like to try. I'm also curious to see what they have next time since the selection rotates on a regular basis. If you want to shop local and support your local farmers and food producers, I highly suggest checking out Bomvida Farms. You'll be able to find everything you need for breakfast, lunch, or dinner or even a nice snack. Do yourself a flavor favor and drop by soon!

We chose them as we wanted Grassfed beef for quality and safety. After sorting all the cuts meats, I was very pleased with the ground beef portions. No problems there. I was also pleased with some of the steak cuts. However, I was deeply disappointed in the roast cuts as they appear to be reduced in size, quality, and appearance. For example, one of the roast cuts did not have a fat cap on it, which I found deeply disappointing. The top round roast cut was only 1.8 pounds when it usually comes in a 3 pound cut. I'm only speculating here but it looks to me like it was cut in half and packaged that way. The short ribs were also disappointing as they were reduced in size. Again, I'm only speculating year, but it looks to me like they cut the ribs in half and packaging that way. I want full ribs not just short ribs. A package of the beef skirt steak with only 1.6 pounds where I was expecting a minimum of 2 pounds to 3 pounds per package. I don't have room in my freezer to store half a cow or a full-sized cow, which is why we settle on a quarter cow. I'm curious if we had ordered the half or full-sized cow, if our cuts would've been complete instead of cut short, reduced size, and fat caps missing? if so, that was made clear to me, which just led to my disappointment in the cuts of meat. In all fairness, this is the first time I have purchased beef in bulk like this. I guess it's a case of live in learn and knowing what to ask for or to specifically request certain cuts of meat cut in a certain way. The price per pound seem reasonable but you get what you pay for. There's nothing like going to a grocery store and selecting a cut of meat from their refrigerators or freezer sections that you can view before buying. I will be buying more beef in bulk in the future, but I may try a different ranch or packaging and processing company. There may be others out there that are better.

Walk all the way into the back and you'll see the huge variety of different meat cuts in the butcher shop. Then turn right and you will see the restaurant section with a huge menu of Mexican favorites, with tables that you can sit and eat at right there or you can get all of it for take-out and enjoy at home, its our favorite take-out because its yummy and the portions are supremely satisfying. They entire fresh hand made tortillas every day, no preservatives so this is like grandma-made tortillas that are so silky soft and yummy. Available pre-bagged and as the side tortillas for the fresh cooked food plates. The staff is friendly, well informed and helpful; the parking lot is gigantic (its in the strip mall that runs along Southern starting at Unser so it has infinite parking spaces). Highly recommended, give them a try!

We asked if they had more and they said yes but their " meat grinder" was at lunch for two hours. So we left. Went back in today. Once again, they were out by of ground beef in the front. Fortunately their "meat grinder" was in but I had to wait for a bit. This hasn't happened to us ever until this week. Maybe short staffed?? They did start a numbering system for customer service which is great but I think it's an adjustment for them. Yea, I know I can call in my order but I don't always think to do that. In the past they've always had meat out. Hopefully this is a temporary issue.

Very off-putting. No one was at the front of the store. We found our way to the back counter. After about five minutes a young man came out and asked what we needed. My wife said, "We need some sliced meats for a sandwich platter". The man went to the back for a minute and came out with a piece of scratch paper and pen. "Yes, we would like 1lb. of roast beef, 1lb. of ham and 1lb. of turkey for a sandwich platter", my wife said. He seemed a bit confused by our order, but began writing it down. He then asked, "Do you want smoked turkey"? "Oh yes", we said. I asked how thick their sandwich cut was and he replied, "Regular sandwich cut". I figured, okay this is Keller's, they certainly know what that is. We will have this ready in two days. That was fine as we knew they were very busy this time of year. I was excited when my wife picked up the order and returned home. I took the meat out to cut it up to fit the rolls we had. All of the three packages had meat sliced at over a quarter inch thick. That's sandwich sliced? The roast beef was very dry with no color to it. The ham was NOT ham, but some other pork cut with little pork taste and also very dry. The turkey was NOT smoked, but at least had good flavor and moisture. I was very disappointed considering Keller's reputation. Two notes: My ex-wife worked for Keller's in the 80s. She would bring home some of the best meats I had ever tasted. Secondly, a good friend of mine was the head chef at a well known sea food restaurant here in town. He once told me, "If you ever go to buy fresh fish and you smell ammonia when you walk in, turn around and walk out!" I am so disappointed with the service we got and the meat we ordered, I cannot see ever going back to Keller's.
