I previously had my brows done by Thi Thuy Hong "Ruby" Luu who did a really crappy job and ghosted me after I paid her and she did not do a touch up as promised. Don't waste your time or money on Ruby, go to Alina instead! They are both located inside Phoenix Salon Suites (next to Marshall's in Mira Mesa). When you walk in, go towards your left for Alina in Suite 108. She is available by appointment only and was very quick to respond. Anyway, back to Alina...She was very sweet and friendly. We chatted while she worked on my brows, and honestly it felt like we've been friends. After the procedure she thoroughly explained the after care and provided me the cream, and followed up with a text with the written instructions. I had a very positive experience! Alina is very skilled at what she does and is a sweetheart! I highly recommend Alina to anyone who's looking to get their brows done. She did a great job fixing Ruby's previous work so I'm a very happy and satisfied customer! The brows take about 2 weeks to fully heal and lighten in color. It's super dark for now! I really like how the microblading gave a resemblance of real hair strokes. It's definitely worth the extra $50! Does the procedure hurt? YES! Even with the numbing cream, you can still feel a certain degree of pain. The level of pain really depends on your tolerance. For me, Alina had to reapply the numbing cream towards the end. Requested deposit thru venmo and asked me to bring cash for the service. She sent me the address and I thought I was going to a salon. In addition she was so heavy handed, that my thought at the time was," WTF!!! I'll never come back here." Obviously she is a scammer. The quality and customer service from this woman is beyond poor. It's downright disrespectful. She would not even hear me out when I asked for at least a partial refund. I just can't believe she scams people from her own place of residence. I've reported her to BBB, FDA, Code enforcement and also the cosmetology board. Not to mention the IRS as well.
