So, Devin was nice and easy to communicate with before showing up to pack my uhaul. The price was affordable. But there were enough issues here that I can't leave a positive review. He asked last minute to show up an hour early, so I wound up rushing around in a panic to unplug things and handle last-minute tasks. In that process, the crew started unscrewing things and pulling out the little metal bolts that hold up shelves, etc...but they handed me some pieces and not others. The move itself was reasonably fast but the helpers didn't seem to have much experience. Cut to a couple hours after they leave, I finally get a chance to eat something and breathe and realize...the walls of the stairway are all scraped up. This didn't happen when furniture got moved in. Then later, Devin texts and tells me he has some of the missing parts for my furniture and will mail them to my new address...the next day, after unpacking a bit, I let him know I also can't find a bunch of screws critical to reattaching my dresser mirror. He says they were taped to the back. Ok. But they must have been covered by a ton of plastic wrap, which is already long gone in the dumpster. Then I notice a bunch of missing paint from my dressers--unclear if that's why the walls were so marked up in the last apt. I was having an intensely stressful time for other reasons, but I reached out to let Devin know about these concerns. It's almost a month later now, and he never did send me those missing shelf pieces he promised. He said they could be replaced over text; I guess that was a hint that I should go spend my time and money figuring that out. I don't think he's a malevolent person but he's also not running a professional operation. I really wish I'd hired a more experienced crew. read more

Loved that they showed up in mask. They were punctual and helpful. There were no complications really, a closet that had been partially dismantled couldn't be "pivoted" down the staircase. They brought tools and dismantled the frame and reassembled it later. Our Lyft took time but they waited patiently. This is the 2nd time I'm using their services and highly recommend them. read more

This was our first move and we were not very well prepared but they did an amazing job of wrapping up and protecting everything that was being brought over to the new place. The price was much cheaper than the other 4 movers I spoke with in the Philly area. Well worth it. This was my first time using movers so I was a bit anxious at first but there were no issues! Two movers came and were very efficient; within two hours the job was done. (There is a minimum 3 hour charge though). Devin was super helpful throughout the whole process answering the many questions I had. My experience with "no stress movers" was the complete opposite of "no stress". From my experience, I cannot see why they would have any good reviews at all. The trouble started before they even arrived. I had a couple of questions about our move because we were moving some complicated pieces. Every single time I had a question, it took more than a week to get an answer. They told me they needed a permit, and that I needed to take care of some details myself, but not any details about the permit or what I had to do until the DAY BEFORE the move at 5pm. Unacceptable. Picking up and packing up the pieces seemed efficient. When arriving at the new location, they proceeded to scratch up several walls while moving in, leave several dents in my walls and furniture, and actually break several pieces of furniture. By the time the move was done, I was just glad to be done with these people. If you use them, I sincerely hope you have a better experience but I would highly recommend against using them. Look elsewhere. read more

It was a scheduled last-minute and he came to the office the same day to see the office furniture to be moved, gave me a very reasonable estimate and kept his word the day of move which was only 3 days later. Devin far exceeded my highest hopes when he moved my things out of a storage unit (I didn't even have to be there for that part!) and into a new apartment; I have never experienced such a seamless transition as booking moving help one day and standing in my furnished home, astounded, the next. I'd recommend giving them much more notice, but that's how dedicated these folks are to providing *excellent* assistance. If you've been scrolling through reviews of different companies, do yourself a favor and just call No Stress because they truly live up to that name. I literally could not believe how quickly the truck was unloaded! Everyone was friendly, communicative, and generally fun to have around, and the more fragile items were packed with so much care. Several other Yelpers have noted that their rates are competitive (even more so when you factor in how wildly efficient they are), which is absolutely true and a great reason to remember to tip when you are (inevitably) blown away by how easy your move was. I had a great experience with No Stress Movers this week. My daughter was moving from my house to her first apartment. The move was local in Philadelphia. The guys arrived close to when they said they would - you can never count for traffic. They got the truck loaded quickly and we were on our way to the new location for my daughter. Once there, they work quickly and efficiently to unload everything. They were friendly, efficient, respectful, and just generally nice people. All paperwork was done online. It was very easy. I was simply able to send pictures of what was entailed in the move, how much stuff, etc. I highly recommend this company. read more

The bad: First, I booked my move a few weeks in advance, sent the owner a text the night before to confirm time and location, and the movers were STILL 90 minutes late. The owner was apologetic but didn't offer to make anything right for wasting our time for 90 minutes while we waited for his crew to show up. Second, the movers were VERY slow. And when they showed up at the unload site they reeked of weed, I'm guessing that had something to do with the speed at which they moved. Needless to stay I was not thrilled that the crew was hotboxing and moving at a snail's pace on my dime. I informed the owner and he was again apologetic and just charged me for the original estimate. But I don't think it was really enough to make up for the inconvenience. I also wasn't thrilled that I was auto-charged the balance of my estimate without an itemized receipt for costs. The okay: The crew didn't break any of our stuff or leave any dents/scratches in the walls of our new place. The bottom line: If you need to get the job done, these guys will do it. But I will take my business elsewhere for any future moves to avoid the inconvenience and lack of professionalism. read more

Devin and his team were AWESOME! I had to plan my mom's move from DE to PA (and I live in MA). We had to change the date AND the location where she moved on 2 different occasions, and Devin was incredibly gracious and accommodating. They did such a wonderful job moving my mom. It's super easy to pay them with Venmo, which I'd never used before. Devin was easily reachable by cellphone. Although the Yelp site helped me find No Stress Movers, the Yelp messaging was kind of slow & clunky. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again for future moves. read more

This is a tough review to write. We hired No Stress to help us finish packing the day before a move, hoping and expecting that they would save us a little bit of time and effort as we got down to the wire. Devin was nice on the phone, and the two men he sent to help us pack could hardly have been kinder. The problem is, they were incredibly slow and just not very good packers. To take just one example, my wife and I are very careful, methodical packers, and we had done four boxes filled with valuable kitchen breakables the night before No Stress came, in a total of an hour--every item individually bubble wrapped, taped, wrapped in paper, packed in carefully, etc. These guys took an hour and forty minutes, working together, to do ONE box of kitchen breakables, LESS securely than we had done ours. I have to say, we were truly mystified. I feel terrible about this, because it's clear that they meant well, but everything they did just took forever. Between the fact that they packed less effectively and far less efficiently than we do--and we're far from professionals!--and the fact that we had to spend big chunks of our own packing time walking them through the few things we asked them to do, No Stress ended up costing us considerably more packing time than they saved us. The result, unfortunately? More stress for us at a time we could really have used less. We liked them a lot personally, but just can't recommend them professionally, based on this frustrating experience. read more

My review is for 2 moves, and the reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was due to the 2nd move. Our first move was great. I was in a bind and Devin did everything he could to get to me during a very busy moving week in the city. All the problems with timing and truck shortage was due to my lack of planning and ridiculous hours at the storage facility I picked. Although we had to delay the move to the next day Devin was determined to help me. I won't ever be able to express how much I appreciated his effort. During the first move Devin and his crew were very professional. I was under a time crunch so I helped in every way that I could and was very impressed with their work ethic. The 2nd move was different in that 1 person was different from the original team and it made a huge difference. This guy was about the most unprofessional person I've ever worked with. I was shocked that Devin wanted him for this job at all. Absolutely no respect for my belongings, talked more than he actually moved anything, and was completely irate at time to the other team members. Within 30 minutes of our start time the manager of the storage facility wouldn't allow him to come back into the building because he was screaming at the other coworker. I would have given this review 5 stars if it weren't for that person. We will use No Stress Movers again as long as that individual isn't part of the job. read more

They were professional and efficient and had me moved from south jersey to philadelphia in 3 hours flat. they took the utmost care with my belongings and were especially conscious about protecting my newly painted apartment from dings and dents. they also provided their own truck and did this all for an extremely reasonable price! I was receiving quotes for about $1700 and being told that I would not find anyone to do it for any cheaper. Devin's quote was about 1/4 of that and he stayed true to the pricing we discussed. Hire these guys now before they start charging more! They won't be this reasonable for long with the excellent service they provide. read more

EDITED TO UPDATE: Devin worked with me to replace the items which his (former) crew member broke during our move. I bumped my original review up a star to recognize that he took responsibility for the situation and made good on his word. I made an appointment for a 6 pm move with No Stress Movers, going from one 1-bedroom to another six blocks away. They called the day before and asked us to switch to 3 pm, which we agreed to do despite the inconvenience. Instead, they showed up at 8, and it was obvious that they had overbooked. They were five hours late and clearly didn't want to do the job, so we were just relieved they still showed up. Unfortunately, they took their frustration out on us and our stuff, throwing boxes labeled fragile, dropping our printer on the sidewalk, and snapping at us when we asked them to be careful. They also damaged the walls and dinged the furniture. After all that, they tried to bill me for a full hour before they'd even arrived at my unit. We ended up having them leave most of the stuff near the door and moving it ourselves out of fear of further damage. Even without the extra hour, they charged more than twice my last similar move. Everyone has bad days, but an unprofessional attitude, bad work, and games with the bill is just too much. Definitely do not recommend. read more
