18 ounce ribeye with sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, tomatoes and peppers.

This place is pretty good. I really enjoyed my meal. I got the 18 ounce ribeye with marinated onions peppers and tomatoes also got the sautéed mushrooms and I could not eat it all. Most likely because I eat almost a whole bottle of salsa And a whole basket of chips. I never eat that much salsa and chips. It was that good. Got two margaritas on the rocks, mango margaritas they were really good and well done.

I will start with the positives. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. The restaurant seems to be a very popular place. We noticed a lot of groups and people coming in, which we thought was a good sign. However, coming from the West Coast where authentic Mexican food is readily available, this definitely was not it. The salsa tasted like straight tomato sauce. We ordered the veggie enchiladas and bean burritos. I had green sauce vs. the cheese sauce on the enchiladas, which had a nice flavor. There was no garnish. I'm not sure if that was only for the fajitas, but something green would have been nice. The beans were puréed. There was literally no texture to them, which to me meant there was an issue. The rice had color, but no flavor. Overall, the meal was very bland, and we did not finish it. There were a number of people ordering margaritas and there for happy hour, so that may be the way to go!

Cover of their menu. They've got pictures of the full (and pretty long) menu on their Facebook page- 'No Way Jose West Point.'

Went here for dinner and to watch some football on a Saturday evening because it was right next to our hotel. As native Texans, my boyfriend and I decided we had to put this "authentic Tex Mex" claim to the test. Free chips and salsa (served in a caraffe), pre the usual, pretty good too! I prdered the "Pollo Chipotle" and he ordered the "Special Burrito." My chicken would have been about 5 times better had they not slathered it in a weird cheese sauce that wasnt all that great. Tortillas were meh. Overall, for Mississippi, this Tex Mex could have been a lot worse. So, for that, I'll give it a solid 3 stars. This may be as good as it gets in this state.

If West Point Mississippi is in your future, stop in for lunch or dinner and have a Pacifico or two because it's a damn good beer.

OK Mexican place. Food was a little bland for what I'm used to, but the ranchero sauce was pretty great.

2 for 1 Margaritas were awesome. I had the Chimichangas. Very tasty. Probably as authentic as you can get in West Point.

This place great strawberry marg and cheaper than the others. Food. Husband had tacos beans and rice. Super average. Below quality of el charro. Me. I had the rice and grilled veggies and mushrooms. I have to say. Better than el charro. Would go back again. Primarily for service. And next chips and cheese dip. Next margaritas. And lastly food. No

No more sharing/rationing your salsa, as here you get as much as you want in your own bowl. During my first visit, I believe I ordered dish #65, which was chicken with fajita veggies and mushrooms topped with cheese and served with rice, beans, and a salad. While I skipped the rice (not my thing), I devoured everything else on that plate. The veggies were fresh, the chicken well seasoned, the cheese was tasty, and the beans were very good. It was one of the best meals I had had from a Mexican restaurant in a long time. The second visit I ordered three street tacos, one carnitas, one al pastor, and one chicken. The chicken and carnitas were good, but the al pastor was to die for. So juicy, fresh, and hearty, next time I will be getting three of those. The corn tortillas you could tell were also homemade and it was just a great meal. Both visits I got margaritas, which for me were very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend coming here for good food and drinks with your group. The service is great, the prices are good, and the experience is the best!

So that's exactly what I did--hauled myself over to Pastor's Kitchen to start the day off right (or at least try to). We sat down for a quick bite before heading out to conquer the world--or at least our to-do lists. I went with the ol' faithful: scrambled eggs and bacon. My son decided to get fancy with the breakfast tacos. Now, I've got to say, my bacon came out a little more crispy than Christian, bless its heart. The scrambled eggs were... well, let's just say I've had the same thing at about a dozen other spots in town. Nothing to write home about, but it filled the tank. Normally, Pastor's hits the mark--they're known for good grub and even better vibes. The place was spotless, the staff was friendly as always, and the Christian music humming in the background gave it that easy-going, Sunday-morning feel even on a weekday. So while today's breakfast wasn't exactly divine intervention, the company made up for it. After all, breakfast with your boy is always time well spent--even if the bacon's a little too close to burnt offering status.
