The server I had wasn't very great at serving and that server even pressured me constantly to hurry up and leave(even though that sever never said anything mean not aggressive nor told me to hurry up. I will start with the positives. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. The restaurant seems to be a very popular place. We noticed a lot of groups and people coming in, which we thought was a good sign. However, coming from the West Coast where authentic Mexican food is readily available, this definitely was not it. The salsa tasted like straight tomato sauce. We ordered the veggie enchiladas and bean burritos. I had green sauce vs. the cheese sauce on the enchiladas, which had a nice flavor. There was no garnish. I'm not sure if that was only for the fajitas, but something green would have been nice. The beans were puréed. There was literally no texture to them, which to me meant there was an issue. The rice had color, but no flavor. Overall, the meal was very bland, and we did not finish it. Went here for dinner and to watch some football on a Saturday evening because it was right next to our hotel. As native Texans, my boyfriend and I decided we had to put this "authentic Tex Mex" claim to the test. Free chips and salsa (served in a caraffe), pre the usual, pretty good too! I prdered the "Pollo Chipotle" and he ordered the "Special Burrito." My chicken would have been about 5 times better had they not slathered it in a weird cheese sauce that wasnt all that great. Tortillas were meh. Overall, for Mississippi, this Tex Mex could have been a lot worse. So, for that, I'll give it a solid 3 stars. This may be as good as it gets in this state. read more

Stopped in here for a late lunch , I had the fajita lunch special. There wasn't anything small about it. It was loaded up just like the regular menu fajitas. I asked about any margarita specials . The waiter told me it started at 4:00 . I came back at 4:00 just for margaritas, and was given the 2 for 1 special price , even though you have to by a meal to get it. He remembered me from lunch , and gave me the special price. I like that kind of customer service , and will be back again when I'm in town. read more

I went to No Way Jose on 10-1-21. I'm not sure who our waiter was by name but he was one of the guys with the short ponytail. My order was wrong but I accepted it anyway. During our 30-40 mins there, the waiter did not check on us to see if food was ok or if we needed drink refills. The restaurant was not so busy that he couldn't do so because most of the time he was standing at the bar watching tv or talking to the 2 young ladies at the cash register. This was such a great find while passing through town. The burrito Loco was excellent and the staff friendly.

They have moved to a brand new location right by Hardee's in Hwy 45. What a change! The other place was sort of a dive but the new spot is wonderful! The best guacamole I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of guacamole! The vegetarian fajitas were so tasty. Seasoned but not over done. I dont think you will be disappointed with your meal or your drinks here. The one local and by local I mean central Alabama -east Mississippi that knows how to make a margarita. Stopped in for a quick bite. It was our worst experience there. Our chips and drinks ran out, and we had to wait at least 10 minutes before our waitress came to refill. We waited 45 minutes for our food. When it arrived, only one of 3 was correct. We sent the 2 incorrect orders back and after 5 more minutes, cancelled one of the 2 and requested the other to go. When the food was brought out again, TWO plates were brought. Those had to be sent back for one to be put in to go container. Next time we will just make the drive to Starkville! Our food took so long to come out even though there was almost no one there. they got one of our orders wrong, all of it came out at different times, when it did come out it was lukewarm. Scallops had literally no flavor at all, oysters weren't cleaned and made my friend feel sick. The baked beans tasted like they came from a can. The food was so expensive for how bad it was. Great place! A bit of humor in the name perfectly matches the cheerfulness of the staff. Great food. Reasonable prices. We started with the obligatory basket of chips, warmed, with salsa in a wine carafe that we poured into serving cups. It was very fresh and thick, not too drippy, good for dipping. We experimented a bit by mixing our salsa with various additional Mexican pepper sauces all provided at the table. Favorite was the Cholula sauce, made from pequin and arbor peppers, not too hot, almost lemon tasting, though there's no lemon on the ingredient list. Mom had the chile relleno, prepared with a wonderfully flavorful pepper, which she described as "more than worth the cost of admission." She'd actually ordered the tamale as her main dish, also good with an excellent, very flavorful masa. But she was most impressed with the chile relleno. I had the pulled pork dinner, which came with a side of sweet bbq sauce. I ate mine dry, without the sauce, and it was superb. Tender, smokey, with crispy bits that added wonderful flavor. Nothing fancy about the sides, but my corn and broccoli were tasty, probably steamed from frozen. All served quickly by a very friendly staff -- "Hola amigos, how is everything?" I was told this is the second restaurant in this family. Not sure where the other one is. It's always packed for lunch, but is also open for dinner. We took advantage of 2-for-1 margaritas. Mine on the rocks was a bit light, but Mom's frozen one was delicious. The only negative I could see was the decor -- in particular, some kind of flooring might be nice. After moving to the South from Texas, I've been searching for a good Tex-Mex place. Well, the search continues. The sign may say Tex-Mex but I'm pretty sure these folks have never been to Texas. I knew I was in trouble when the menu also had Cajun and American food on it. While the food wasn't inedible, it wasn't great by any stretch. Most importantly it wasn't Tex-Mex. The directions on Yelp were not correct but if you follow Hwy 45 through West Point you can't miss it. If moving north, it's on the left side of the highway. Great food and service.
