It is now located on South Jackson street about one block on the left! We are from Alabama and was in Huston for a doctors appointment. They recommended this place as being the best place to in town to eat at. Well it is a great new restaurant the food was perfect, presentation was great. The waiter staff was excellent. We always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere before, but we are not fond of the new location. While it's plenty big, there are no tables except for large parties. My husband and I are bigger people, so we usually prefer a table. The waitress was quick to try to seat us, but she expected us to try the booth in front of the crowded restaurant, and it embarrassed my husband. We had to go back up front and wait until they found a place for us. Finally, we were seated at one of the large party tables, but we felt like a spectacle at that point. I just feel like there's a disconnect at the new location, and the food isn't as good as it used to be. Now we usually pass it up and go to one of the other Mexican restaurants in town. read more

Very good food. Good service. Spacious. Definitely a converted space, and they are new in it. I have only general impressions as this was one of many earrings out on a 4-state motorcycle ride with the guys a month ago. I don't even remember what I ordered, only that all our food was good. I placed an order over the phone on this this particular evening. I asked for a beef burrito with cheese dip only and a side a rice. The guy that answered the phone actually argued with me because I did not say ground beef instead, he proceeded to say "If he puts steak instead of ground beef, because I said beef burrito instead" then it'll be my problem. I said beef and ground beef is the same thing, sir what are you saying? I asked to speak to Carlos the manager, he said Carlos would tell me the same thing. I said OK, that's fine. I want to talk to Carlos because you're being rude about it anyway, he hangs up the phone on me. So, I called back, he took the order as I said the first time I call. I arrived to get my food, the staff that was working at the time were smirking, grinning, and laughing in my face as if something fishy was going on. I proceeded to check my food as I was getting inside my car at the restaurant, instead of him writing down I wanted cheese dip only, he puts burrito sauce on the ticket instead, luckily Carlos was nice enough to remake my food with no problem. I think the man was actually trying to be funny and prove a point, which was an epic failure. Once he noticed the food was getting remade, he wanted to come to the front of the restaurant trying to look mad and angry, not knowing I had my camera pointed towards him the whole time. The restaurant is a good and nice place to eat, hang out, have drinks, and good time. Carlos needs to replace his staff, he's too hardworking, humble, fun, and nice to have a rude and uptight staff. Holy smokes! We were driving the Natchez Trace and pulled off for lunch. The service was great, and the food was phenomenally flavorful! This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. If you're ever in the Houston, MS area, you should stop in to eat. read more

Hmmmmm. They are the only game in town in Houston, MS. The chips were really good - thin and crispy and fresh. The salsa is blah and I'm pretty sure the guacamole came from a bag. The hubs had the Parrillidea Special fajitas and I had the Monterey Fajitas. The portion size was generous but the meat lacked seasoning. My chicken was very bland and the refried beans needed salt. The rice has been sitting around a while. The pico was heavy on cilantro and light on tomato's. read more

This is a good place to stop on the way down the Nachez Trace Parkway. The food was good and plentiful. Tried the fajita taco salad special which is what you would expect, and husband had chicken chimichanga, which was huge and looked awesome. We decided to try the specialty of the house desert, Chimichanga Cheesecake which the waitress recommended and made. Really good! Generous portions along with good food and friendly service make this a good choice on the Trace. Decor a needs work--they may have been under construction. read more

Wasn't busy for Cinco De Mayo. The waitress was slow in taking our order. The server brought our meals out mine was wrong. The waitress never came to check on us for anything. My husband and I were staying at the bed and breakfast down the street and walked to this restaurant. They have just about anything on the menu so you will have lots of choices. I got the Burrito Loco because it was marked as one of their specialities. My husband got the fajita potato. Were we ever surprised when our food came out. It was huge! We could have easily split 1 entree. But, the food was very good. My burrito had chicken, beef, beans and rice with a cheese sauce and red sauce on top. I thought the spiciness level was just right. My husband's meal had shredded lettuce with a lot of sour cream. Unfortunately, he doesn't eat sour cream. But the potato with chicken and beef fajita topping was very good. Our party of seven were seated quickly. Our server was polite and helpful. I had Santa Fe chicken,which was nice and spicy with delicious mushroom and spinach sauce and my husband had Enchilada plate - also delicious. We had the seafood fajitas! The fish was overly crispy, the shrimp were tasty and the scallops were almost impossible to find! The tortillas were the best! Could tell they were homemade! Service was good for the most part! A lot of food for the price! Cook brought our food out to us! Dry county! Just FYI! Would've sat on the other side instead of where we did!
