They don't even have a real sign, just a humble chalk board leaning up against the building. Reservations open a couple of months in advance, and they will fill up. I managed to secure a reservation ($25 deposit/person) on my girlfriend's birthday luckily! The menu changes seasonally. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally at peak freshness. Cheese from the creameries down the street. Beef from local farmers. Apples from the server's grandpa's farm. You watch the chef preparing everything in the open kitchen. We opted for the $90/person prix fixe menu, and it's the right choice. You can try so much of the menu. Everything was delicious. I think I finally understand what the judges on Top Chef mean when they say a dish is perfectly balanced. Even the whipped cream on the sticky toffee pudding changed my life. You will leave stuffed and happy - with your life changed. KC folks - I promise it's worth the drive out to Weston. Make it a day trip. Now known as Noah's Delicatessen I had the pleasure of visiting. Andrea and Nick were wonderful. The special on Monday was pizza by the slice which was pepperoni ricotta, it looked delicious but I didn't order it. I went in for their pierogi's, and they didn't disappoint. Flavorful, filling, the dumpling was grest. I got a half dozen and cooked them up myself, a little boiling, then fried in butter, but they will cook them for you. This place hits the mark every time. It is still the cutest little place, we went for our Christmas dinner tonight and they had cute little Christmas decorations around. We tried and shared 6 dishes and were STUFFED. Everything was good, but the pasta with the beef sugo was incredible and added to my dream menu there. I had never heard of Noah's Cupboard, but my girlfriend snagged a surprise reservation for my birthday and it was the most delicious meal I've had in a while!!! Highly recommend doing the prix fixe to try as much as possible on the menu and save a little bit of money. We tried so many delicious dishes. The sticky toffee pudding (impeccable whipped cream and also the only permanent menu item), black cod in broth, and pierogi were standouts. Every plate was so well curated and so many ingredients were local! The service was amazing with Amanda. Only four tables inside so service was very timely but also not hovering. AND they have @noahs_cupboard Everything is worth the drive. The meal we had on Thursday was just perfect. Pork belly lettuce wraps and an eel sauce that I would just drink. Then Pierogies, yes with homemade sauerkraut. Entrees we had snapper and steak, but it is @nich2001 attention to detail and small touches that make the food amazing. The snapper had a miso broth that was filled with lots of herbs. Making it another star on the plate. I cannot even begin to explain how much my husband and I enjoyed our dinner this evening. We got ourselves on the wait list and received a text this morning saying we were in for a 5:30 reservation. Restaurant is in downtown Weston and easy to find. The restaurant is VERY small, so be sure to keep your reservation if you make one. Started with two appetizers, beef tongue and stuffed peppers. I would order both again. For dinner I had halibut and Duke had the beef short ribs. Both were delicious. My absolute favorite part of the dinner was dessert! We had a date cake with a toffee sauce. Shut the front door, We would drink the toffee sauce. Not only is the restaurant cute, family owned, the location is quaint and the staff is extremely nice and welcoming. This little place in Westin, MO is the best kept secret in the Northland. I had never heard of Noah's Cupboard until I joined a Northland Eateries group on Facebook....am I glad I did. The staff was so pleasant, friendly and helpful and the food OMG the food. My wife and I have eaten a lot of 5 star restaurants all over the country but this place I'd give 6 stars. Tried this hidden gem in downtown Weston during a night out with my wife. It was really delicious. We started off with the smoked trout appetizer. She had the Stuffed Piquillo Peppers and I had the Maltagliatti. Both dishes were amazing. We will come by again when in town! read more

We were taken aback because we received two notices imploring us to be there early because, direct quote, "being late puts a big stress on Chef." We walked around lovely Weston for 5 minutes then returned to tell the hostess to cancel our reservation. She didn't seem the least bit concerned. This has been a restaurant I've been wanting to try for a while. Given the circumstances I ordered it for pickup! I ordered the chicken spiedie and the veggie lovers pizza. I also had the Caesar salad. The salad was good, I liked the toppings, and the dressing was quite tasty, it was thick and robust.The pizzas were delicious, my only complaint would be that I thought there were too many mushrooms on the veggie pizza. The Food was very Good, but I hyped myself up for weeks about it and was not blown away. That was an expectation management issue on my part. The Caesar salad was the best thing I ate. The squash salad was a nice new flavor palette that I had not experienced before. So I appreciate that. However, I don't think I would order it again. The pork dish with white beans and another type of bean or snap pea type side was very good. Reminded me of a soul food or country cooking neckbones and Lima beans I've eaten on occasion growing up. I enjoyed the venue and atmosphere and would still recommend it to people coming into the area because they are executing a unique restaurant concept in the area. Very calm and quite environment, our waitress was wonderful and really cared about our experience. The food was the best I've ever had and is really a hidden gem. The beet salad was wonderful with popping flavors of spring with a perfect level of acidity and the ricotta cheese added the perfect texture I couldn't get enough. After that course we had a pasta dish with flavors of lemon and Alfredo, there also was some dried parmigiana that added a perfect crunch. The real showstopper though was the braised short ribs with a Ethiopian sauce, the beef was sous vide for 24 hours and was falling off the bone with the addition of the sauce it added a perfect amount of spice and sweet heat. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding with came out boiling in a sauce this was one of the best desserts I've ever had it was sweet but not to sweet with a hint of burbon, it was the perfect way to end the dinner. With 4 tables and a limited menu, you get an intimate and incredibly fresh dinner experience. We enjoyed the gazpacho, the Ceasar salad, the stuffed piquollo peppers, the pierogi, the pork belly, and the short ribs. This little gem is hidden amidst the shops of Weston. Definitely recommend for a date night, though we did see a group of ladies out for ladies' night! It's tiny, so it's reservation only I believe. Great ambience, beautiful space. The menu is special selection, freshly made from organic food provided by local farmers and suppliers. It's cooked in front of you by this amazing chef who prepares each dish; seriously I was in awe of the fact that he could juggle so many dishes and have them come out so deliciously. We shared the cheese plate, a Caesar salad and a glass of wine before the main course. My husband got the pork belly and I ordered a dish of osso bucco. They were delicious and I'm only sorry I couldn't eat it all being so full. My dish was delayed (because it got busy and there was only the one chef), but the owner/manager and chef personally apologized for the delay and comp'd our dessert (which was absolutely decadent!). The service was fantastic and service recovery even better. It's a tad pricey if you're looking for a casual restaurant but absolutely worth the meal and experience. We'll be back! We were so excited to try Noah's Cupboard in Weston after reading glowing reviews in the Kansas City Star....But alas, Very...very....disappointing. After driving 50 minutes to get there. We had to wait to be seated...we were a little early. Once we were invited in, we walked into a small place, 2- four top tables, 2- two top tables. So 12 customers total in the restaurant at a time...and 2 wait staff. Thinking, cozy but charming. However, you know you are in trouble when there are 3 entrees on the menu and the server tells you the restaurant is out of two of the entrees at 7pm! So no halibut or shortribs were available. These were the two entrees my friend and I had decided to order. Pork belly was added (this is what I ordered) and later the waitress stopped and told us the Chef had added octopus. One in our group of 4 ordered the octopus entrée. We started with the Caesar salad...very good, but don't think you can screw up this salad. When dinner was served, 3 entrees were brought to the table, but nothing for the 4th person at the table...."oops" she said, you must be sharing?? "NO", my friend said, " I ordered from the menu when the others at the table ordered". The waitress looked totally confused...but said, " oh, must be a mistake, let me check." Sure enough, somehow they had forgotten to prepare the 4th entrée. We sat and waited. After 10 minutes, I suggested to our friends to start eating before everything got cold. After continuing to sit and wait, I finally, got up, went to the bar counter where the Chef was cooking. I asked and was told by staff ...well, we forgot, it should be ready soon. I said "unacceptable". I was told, everyone makes mistakes, we are only human. I replied, with only 4 tables and 12 customers, "unacceptable." Never was an apology given, only defensive comments from the staff. Back at the table, more conversation from the waitress (her tone was very aggressive) this ended with her saying to me in a very loud, rude voice, "you know, you don't ever have to come back"...I was shocked and I replied, "that is true...I would never consider coming here again". Food review, friend who had the octopus said it was tough..and the portion was small...The friend who ordered the duck, stated, "I've had much better", my entrée was the pork belly....just OK, not impressive, ate 1/2 of it...The missing entrée was perogies...and once my friend started to eat it, he said, "just not very good"... Soooo, would not, could not, recommend this restaurant. Definitely not worth the drive for very average, expensive food. Many good places in our own back yard! read more
