This is a review as a non-participant Last Saturday a group of us in 3 rafts were in K'íka·c'é·ki Canyon as our first time down this section. We are all accomplished rafters. We passed Noah's having lunch as we entered the Canyon. After a minor pin and a raft getting dump-trucked we still felt comfortable. Just before the 3rd rapid from the end, the Noah's guides offered me Beta on the final 3 rapids. While the first 2 could be considered read-and-run, their Beta saved me on the last rapid. My point: It's not always just about the river and making a 'check-mark' on your adventure list. It's about the adventure and the quality of those (the guides) who provide that SAFE adventure. I've been on a Rogue trip with Noah's and periodically call them for advice on the rivers they run. They are always congenial and give honest feedback. I'm a 65 year old woman that has never been river rafting and my husband really wanted to go on this adventure. So to say the lease I was very apprehensive. They picked us up and after a short ride with 7 other people we were at the starting point. It took the guides a little bit to get the boats ready, then we were given a safety talk. These were things I really didn't want to hear, but it had to be said. Trevor was our guide. He had a lot of experience and he made me feel so much better about the trip. We called the morning we wanted to adventure and they still managed to fit us into a group. FYI, it is best to reserve your trip at least the day before but we did appreciate the effort to accommodate us. Our trip was a half day " introductory" trip, but it did include plenty of exciting class four rapids. They picked us up in downtown Ashland, which was a plus because we arrived with a tour group and didn't have our own transportation. The trip down the Rogue river was beautiful and we saw many different varieties of birds, including blue herons, Turkey vultures, hawks, ducks and mergansers. Safety was emphasized by our guides and I never felt unsafe. Nevertheless, some of the rapids were quite exciting. Paul and Mack, our guides, were friendly and were very clear about e planning what we had to do to be safe. My wife had some bones broken five months ago so safety was a concern and they were great about keeping us safe and informed. You will get wet so wear a swimsuit or clothes that can get wet, and bring fun tan lotion--we didn't and hit burned. Wear a baseball hat that you can wear your safety helmet over. And they have a dry bag for phones and valuables. I didn't lose my glasses but wish I had had glasses lanyard because you do get slammed hard by some waves. Lunch was great! They had carrots and celery with peanut butter and mayonnaise, Chios and salsa, watermelon, and all the fixings fir a sandwich, plus egg salad and Cole slaw. We were picked up at ten thirty and got back to Ashland at 3:45 so if you are in town to see an evening play you have plenty of time to take this rafting trip. I will definitely take another trip either Noah River Adventures. read more

I honestly didn't think it could get better but it did and all my girls, including my wife enjoyed the trip! Friendly staff and experienced guides! He turned strangers into new friends with his engaging demeanor. The team took care of us from the moment of arrival to drop-off. If you want to plan a great river rafting trip in Ashland then Noah's River Adventure is the place! We did a half day trip (10:30 am - 3:00 pm) and it was Worth every minute. Our guide, Evan, was awesome! He was very friendly, mindful and made sure that we understood all the safety protocols. During the middle of the rafting trip, we took a break and had snacks provided by the tour guides. Nice spread of Nachos, salsa, himmus, crackers, carrots, celery, cookies and watermelon. They also provide water but I highly recommend bringing your own bottle of water as well. Evan taught us the proper way to handle our paddles, pull people up from the water from the raft in case they fell off. There were a couple of people that fell out of their raft and we were able to save them based on the training we got from Evan. The half-day event felt like a full day. If you come to Oregon you need to visit this crew! My husband booked this trip for me and our kids 15 and 12. It was our first time and I was completely nervous, the van picked us up and immediately I felt at ease. Tannor was our guide and was extremely welcoming and talkative as well as the other guide whose name I do not remember. The entire experience is professional and amazing! First family road trip to OR and wanted to have a memorable first time rafting trip. Noah's provided that and more. We booked the Rogue River Scenic Float Half-Day trip. Everyone from beginning to end was personable, professional and lots of fun starting with Nate who accommodated our trip last minute, Logan the bus driver who shared lots of historical info about the area and Calvin our guide who was a true river pro with excellent customer service skills. Calvin shared a wealth of knowledge about the river, was funny and easy going which was perfect for our crazy family. The snack stop was above and beyond our expectations complete with pop-ups for a break from the sun, chairs and homemade hummus and salsa. Our family had a wonderful experience on the river with Noah's. Katie was our guide and made it memorable for our family, that included a 14 year old and 82 year old! We chose the 1/2 day float option which was perfect for us. Katie was very knowledgeable about rafting and the history of the river and areas surrounding it. My husband and I went on a half-day Rogue River rafting trip yesterday and really enjoyed our experience. The trip is for beginners, it was my husband's first rafting trip. This was my 3rd rafting trip (first with Noah's) and probably my favorite. Our guide, Brandon, was super knowledgable---was constantly sharing interesting history and details about the river and the surrounding area. The trip incorporated a lot of swimming breaks and we even played a "rodeo" game where a willing participant stands at the front of the raft and has to balance while the raft is spinning. The water is quite cold, but an awesome experience. The group of folks were also quite lovely and kind. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.
