They've recently renovated this nail shop, and it looks beautiful! I've been going to Jack for years he always does an amazing job on my nails. My fills usually last 3 to 4 weeks. I came in for a $45 fill-in They charged me to clean up my cuticles, which should be a part of the fill-in. I ended up paying $60. The additional prices were not mentioned prior to my service. So in other words they will do a fill- in and leave your cuticles looking horrible, unless you pay to clean them up. In addition, I paid $30 for a polish change on my feet and my cuticles were not touched...such a waste of money. My feet were left looking horrible with fresh polish. Henry who serviced me, witness me completing this review as he violated all of my privacy by looking at my phone and told me that I was no longer welcomed back because of this review. I have never in all my life been treated so unfair and with blunt disrespect. I ended paying $85.00 for this service and my feet look horrible. The photos shows what I was charged and my toes after the polish change. My cuticles look worse than they did before the polish change. Be careful and watch for hidden prices. read more

The drink and snack spread was cute but they make you pay for it with overpriced, less than mediocre services. I'm talking about the charge for the shape and length of your nails which should be included in the base price. This place was recently taken over by Noble. Used to be OUi! The service is horrible, the work is horrible! Gave them a try, loved my nail place. Went in for my fills and polish was not permitted to see my usual nail tech as they do rotation now. My nails are jacked! Had to go back 3 times for repairs in as many days. Different tech each time! Said, I'd give them 1 more shot. Made an appointment! Arrived for appointment and was told "sorry, me no see an appointment for you". I was greeted kindly, and offered a complimentary drink. However, once I was seated for my pedicure, it was already over. I received a 10 minute pedicure, consisting of 5 minutes of soaking my feet and water, 2 minutes of a "foot scrub," lotion, and a warm towel, and 3 minutes of painting my nails; all extremely subpar experiences. I went in once and had the best jel manicure ever. So naturally I went back... well let me tell you the worst 35$ i ever spent. After telling the nail technician multiple times the even out the shape of my nails i left with jagged uneven tips & tell me why damn near every nail is a different shape? She also shaved down the under parts of my nails to reduce the width leaving my nails extremely narrow and even had little cuts under some of my nails which took a week to heal and not hurt.. I had to go home and buff out the tips because my nails were catching on my clothes. Warning do not get services here: my eye brows were not even. They used my hair to cover that one side was shorter then the other. When I got a pedicure I had to help worker with my feet, they didn't have any shades of pearl that I asked for at the beginning. Lastly, the warm towel they used smelled sour. RIP-OFF!!! In my 35 years of getting pedicures, this had to be the absolute worst I've ever had. Just unbelievable really. I originally wanted the spa pedicure and changed my mind after the tech (Kim) said longer massage w/the $55 pedi. so I opted for that. I asked for & paid for shellac/gel polish and ended up with regular, $80!!! As I was having a bad day and wanted to relax I didn't pay too much attention too unfortunately, had I opened my eyes and paid attention I would've noticed that she didn't cut my cuticles or file my nails down. I usually cut mine as I like them shorter than usual and had done so but still like them filed to even them out and smooth them down. Yes, I was that tired. The polish color was pretty although their examples of colored nails were pretty dull, I just took a chance that my choice would be bright. I was very shocked and have to wonder if she added a tip in the total because it should've been $75, not $80 without the tip. You can imagine my surprise to see how thick the polish looked when I got home and could actually see in the light (shop is very dim) how janky and thick the polish was. Even more surprised that the following week it started PEELING OFF, something a gel/shellac won't do!!! So yeah, it's a rip off and I won't be back. Nice how they can talk English until you have a problem. Don't waste your time or money. And I don't but the standard reply of "We value our customer's feedback and strive to make things rights and am so sorry for providing you with an inferior service. We'll do better next time." Ms Rose does such an amazing job at doing my nails I go about once every 3 weeks to get a fill & pedicure. They never disappoint. Highly don't recommend. My friend goes to see Jack, which usually an ok set/fill for her. I decided to try it out and went in for a fill asking for Jack. Quickly learned he takes at least an hour for a fill in (another lady ended up leaving after finding out how long it took, she was frustrated and needed to go to work). I ended up being placed with the older gentleman, first table on the left. Before coming in I filed my nails to the shape I wanted to make it easier. I was specific about what I wanted (see attached pictures). I showed him how my the tips of my nails are too thin and are curling downwards. He completely disregarded what I asked for, I noticed that my nails are still curling and he filed the side wrong, I decided to avoid getting polish since I was planning to go home and reshape them. I didn't realize until I got into the car the actual damage, they were completely undone, you could see blatant marks of the file digging in some spots, showing the side view of the nail to be flat and hilly in all the wrong places. To top it off the whole nail had a very thin layer of acrylic. At this point i'm very frustrated, no matter where I go in hampton roads not one nail tech can take the time to do an acrylic set correctly. I called the same friend breaking down which she told me to ask for a refund assuring me that Jack with take care of me because he's always nice to her. which i did. I initially spoke to my nail tech and showed my nails in all angles to show him he completely butchered them. he refused a refund saying there's nothing wrong with them, but if I want him to fix them he can fix them. But why would I trust him to fix something you couldn't do right the first time? I continued to insist on a refund. He got an attitude and told me to speak to the owner (Jack), turned his back and walked away from me when I tried to keep talking to him. I was visibly upset since i've been crying yet they treated me like I was trying to get a free service. Jack was even more rude, standoffish and very hard to understand linguistically. I went home to call my credit card company to file a dispute then returned to the nail salon with my own nail file to file one hand showing them the correct way with the acrylic I had to work with. I showed Jack my work vs his employee. I explained to him it's not acceptable and you can't look at my nails and tell me they look ok. Jack continued to insist there's nothing wrong with my nails but said I can get a refund if he can get his acrylic back. So i sat down with the original nail tech who filed down the filled in acrylic and ended up ruining my natural nails. it was so painful, especially when he filed over the areas he made me bleed previously. I got my refund and ended up going home and ripping off the rest of my acrylics. Never in my 15 years of getting acrylics have I had such a traumatic experience. I have done my own sets for 10 years and you don't have to work at NASA to understand basic customer service and basic nail shapes. and it should NOT take over an hour to do a fill in. Not only was my personal experience terrible, the salon is very unsanitary, all the equipment is dirty and the tools are obviously not cleaned between each client. They don't do appointments, there's always a long wait and there's no sign in to save your spot if you wanted to leave and come back later. read more

I have been going to Rose for about a year now and let me share with you that she has been the only nail technician to keep my nails on for about four weeks without popping off in a two week period or less like other nail salons. As a colorist myself, I constantly have my hands in water and chemicals. I was told my nail beds were oily that's why my nails lift in a week n a half. She has been the only one to surpass my expectations. I leave the salon feeling beautiful. Thank you Rose! I also love Henry for my feet. He is gentle and takes his time. This is a relaxing time for me and as far as comments about being aggressive, once you let any of them know it's uncomfortable they immediately adjust to your liking. The technician was trying to pop off my nail tips instead of soaking them as my other salons have done in the past. One of my nail beds starting to bleed. I stopped in while I was in the area and should have read reviews. The lady doing my pedicure wasn't nice, when I said the water was too hot she walked away so I pulled my feet out and she proceeded to say "ok ok"and add cold water. My pedicure was decent, just felt unwelcome. Then I go for my manicure. Mrs Rose was nice enough, however I never knew if she was talking to me or someone else, I decided to try dip for the first time instead of gel and she burned me on two fingers and when I flinched she said nothing. It took over an hour and then when I get to the register I was charged $130!! Never in my life have I ever been charged that much! Pedicure was about normal since I get gel but they charged me $30 for a manicure, $5 to remove my old gel, and $50 for the dip! Like how does a manicure not come with it? If I got gel it would only have been $35-40 max but because I wanted dip I was charged double? Full sets don't cost that much! To say I won't go back is an understatement. I first noticed this nail place when I visited Harold restaurant which is right next door. They looked prett swanky inside so I decided to give them a try. I decided to get a pedi and mani. I was told "lui lui" would be doing my nails. I think she did a wonderful job. She was kind and made me feel very comfortable while there. So while there this lady comes in and wants to get her and her daughters nails done. So I'm sitting at the dryer station and the lady walks over with her daughter whose like 5 and she's already painted her nails. Like the lady was using this establishments product and was only going to pay $5 because she had to do them herself. But I just thought it was strange becuz this women was like snatching stuff off the stations , top coat, glitter, whatever she could find . I was like what is going on that she couldn't wait lol very bizarre anywho other than that experience I enjoyed getting my nails done here and will likely visit again read more

Customer service was bad. I went to get my nails soaked off and I explained it to the man over the phone and when I went in. I walked in waited for about 10 mins. Then a lady came in got herself together and told me she was ready for me. When I got in the chair I explained I only wanted to soak my nails off. She said okay and Started trying to take them off herself. I kept moving because it was hurting then she going to say if you going to keep acting like this then I'm going to soak your nails for a hour and a half. I told her that's what I wanted to do anyway because my nails are sensitive. She got an attitude. I wanted to get up and walk out right then and there. But I just waited and paid and left.
