Theres many pocket options that look straight out of the 2000s not much seem to have changed on them except price and a few more mp available. Now if they don't have something in stock, you could put down a card for preorder and they'll call and charge you when it's in. Great spot!

First impressions: the store is honestly much smaller than I expected but they a good amount of options & all cameras are in the cases/protected. The staff allows you to see the product though, upon request. Unfortunately, they didn't have the camera I wanted in stock. They did say that they could order it for me and to expect a 1-2 month wait but that it would be shipped to me if I did want to place the order. Though I haven't decided yet if I want to go through with ordering the camera yet, it's good to know that I can order it from here for retail price! They had the part that would fix the problem, but it was the professional version and pretty expensive. Instead of pushing the sale, they actually recommended that I go to their competitor to get a less expensive version. Who does that anymore? I was so appreciative of their help that I was ready to buy the pricier part on the spot, but since I didn't need it immediately, I waited a couple of days for the basic version instead. The fact that they were willing to send me elsewhere to save me money says everything about their integrity. Amazing, friendly, personal service -- the kind that reminds you why buying local matters. I looked online for a local camera repair shop and found Midstate Camera Repair. My camera booboo occurred on a Saturday afternoon, and they close at noon on Saturdays and are closed Sundays, so I panicked for an entire weekend before I could drop my camera off first thing Monday morning. Well let's just say I was super relieved after bringing my camera in to Midstate Camera Repair. It's owned by two brothers and they are both so nice. They told me not to worry and that the part of the camera I had inadvertently touched was something they could easily clean and even if the part had somehow gotten scratched and needed to be replaced (it was some kind of internal lens made of frosted glass, can't remember what it's called) it would only cost an extra $10. Cleaning it was $45. This was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be because I wasn't sure what was wrong and at the time it wasn't even taking pictures so I was freaking out. Not gonna lie. Mark (one of the owners) told me my camera would probably be ready by the following Wednesday, but I actually got a call a few hours later letting me know it was already fixed and ready to go! What a delightful surprise! Not only was it cheap, but also fast, and the service can't be beat. I know that from now on I will NOT take it upon myself to try and clean stray hairs or dust or whatnot from inside my camera because I will inadvertently screw up my camera. I've learned my lesson and from now on I will only be bringing it to Midstate Camera Repair for all of my camera needs!
