Nobu Atlanta underwhelmed me for a luxury property. The good things: valet and bellhop staff were very friendly and helpful. The aesthetic is beautiful, I especially liked the woodwork details throughout the common areas and room. Location is convenient and close to shopping and restaurants. What I was not impressed with was the cleanliness of the room and the noise. There was a layer of dust along the baseboards in the bathroom and the grout in the shower had mildew. There was a lot of dust in the room- the top of the headboard, even the curtains let off a plume of dust when I opened and closed them. There needs to be a deep cleaning of the room and more attention to detail like dust bunnies in the corners. Also, there was a lot of noise from guests and/or housekeeping moving the desk chairs which dragged on the wood floors. They need to put felt pads on the chair leg ends, because it's hard to move them without lifting up and they have some heft to them. We only had breakfast once, but the menu was interesting, the coffee delicious and the ambiance lovely, albeit service did take a while. To be honest, I don't know that I would return to this hotel next time I visit Atlanta and want a luxury experience. Not quite a 5 star level of detail, except for the decor and aesthetics. I reserved four rooms and arrived at 12:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the check-in process was extremely disorganized. We were given one room at a time on different floors--our first room wasn't available until 2:00 p.m., two more weren't ready until 3:30 p.m., and as of 5:05 p.m., we were still waiting for the fourth room. It was especially frustrating to watch multiple parties who arrived after us receive their rooms before we did. With a reservation for four rooms and children in our group, I would have expected some effort to prioritize keeping our party together or at least have all rooms ready around the same time. We have a 6:30 p.m. dinner reservation at Nobu, and because of the delayed check-in, it looks like some of us may have to head straight to dinner without having the chance to check into our room or even change first. This level of service and lack of organization is simply not what I would expect from a five-star hotel. It was a very disappointing start to our stay. read more

This review is not for the actual hotel room or stay - the rooms and hotel itself are lovely. This is specifically for the Nobu Restaurant on property and complete lack of support we received from the GM of the restaurant (and are still waiting on) after our stay in May. I was a recent hotel guest at Nobu Atlanta the weekend of May 1-3 and my husband experienced severe food poisoning after a meal he had via in room dining on Friday evening (May 1st). I shared details both in a thread in email with Gustavo Garcia and in the automated survey shared after my stay. The room service for in room dining was charged to my husband's credit card - the total was $276.02 on Friday evening (5/1) I provided this update to Gustavo in person and he immediately questioned if it was due to alcohol, which is an insane response after telling a restaurant GM that your husband got food poisoning. After offering my husband a bottle of ginger ale, Gustavo had promised to follow up via email. After one email of "we are looking into this" there have been zero follow ups. Extremely disappointed in this outcome from a luxury brand restaurant and hotel - If the GM of the Restaurant can please reach out, I'm happy to discuss further. read more

I did a mini staycation during MLK Weekend and had an enjoyable time, but wasn't completely blown away. Parking: They offer valet, but I opted to park in the parking garage for free and take the elevator up. It takes you right to the lobby, just make sure you get your parking placard when you check-in. Check-In: The checkin process was a short wait and she was easily able to find my reservation and get me squared away. The woman was very personable and I appreciated her making sure she pronounced my name correctly :) At check-in they give you a cup of green tea and a hot towel which of course was a nice touch. My only qualm during this process was there was a group of young ladies in the lobby taking pictures that were quite literally yelling. I'm not sure if they were staying at the hotel or dining at Nobu, but this definitely interfered with the 'zen' of the place. The Room: I was put in the Porsche room which was AHMAZING. I loved the Porsche themed decor and thought the inclusion of the Bluetooth speaker + iPad was a great touch. I was able to jam out while getting ready. The bed was comfortable, A/C worked well, everything was well stocked and clean in my room so 10/10 as far as that's concerned. FYI walls are pretty thin, could hear peoples conversations across the hallway and was placed in an adjoining room and could hear them moving about through the door we shared. Amenities: This is partially why I took off a store. Their amenities were lacking for the quality of the hotel in my opinion. The gym was very bare bones and I was disappointed to hear that the 'spa' options they offered involved having to go to the gym across the walkway. 3.5-4 stars I'd describe my stay as overall just okay and not the five-star experience I expected. This was meant to be a much-needed personal staycation (my first one)and I chose Nobu hoping for modern luxury, walkability, and something slightly below the St. Regis price point. The location is convenient, but not particularly serene. It's tucked between Phipps Plaza, office buildings, and a Lifetime Fitness, which makes it easy to access restaurants, coffee shops, and nearby attractions, but also brings mall and theater crowds. This didn't bother me, but guests should certainly note it. The area is great for food options - everything from high-end to casual - and has a nice common green space. Check-In & Room Check-in with Bella was warm and welcoming, with a hand towel and complimentary tea. No one offered help with luggage, though it wasn't a big issue since I only had a small carry-on. The décor is clean and elevated in the typical Nobu style. My room was upgraded, but the overall feel left me wondering what a non-upgraded room would have been like. Everything was fine, not exceptional. The flat iron in-room was a thoughtful amenity, and the bed was comfortable. The shower worked but was finicky. Amenities were nice but didn't stand out as particularly above standard. Facilities The gym was genuinely impressive: spacious, well-equipped, and extremely clean. Breakfast at Nobu each morning was a highlight. I enjoyed several dishes - both omelettes, the breakfast sandwich (which was outstanding), and the smoked salmon toast with a poached egg. I wanted to try their specialty matcha but was told they were out. The rooftop pool area is a nice feature, but staff didn't seem to be present during my visits, so ordering refreshments wasn't possible. One of the towels rolled out for use was damp, which was disappointing. Perhaps due to season (it was late Nov... though temps were mid 70s). Service Issues Where the stay really fell short was service consistency. * On day one, housekeeping left one of my used towels on the floor. * On day two, housekeeping didn't arrive until 4 p.m., which created awkward timing while I was trying to get ready for the evening. * The biggest frustration was the request for a razor and a replacement flat iron (since mine was broken). I was told they'd arrive shortly, but it ended up taking about 40 minutes total -- not during a busy time of day. I mentioned all of this at checkout and was told I'd be "taken care of" on a future stay, and was given a contact card, but there wasn't an immediate resolution. Overall The property itself feels calm, quiet, and visually luxurious. The gym and breakfast were bright spots. However, the service didn't align with the level of hospitality I expected for the price point. The stay wasn't bad, it simply wasn't the elevated, seamless experience I hoped for. read more

This was my first time staying at a Nobu hotel in Atlanta. It's brand new (a franchise) and gorgeous. They thought of every small detail - like lamps on the headboard and options to have lighting low, medium, turn all on or turn all off. The bathroom was designed so well. And, I've never seen a flat iron option next to the blow dryer or Steamer in place of an iron. My only issue was the air conditioning. I'm not usually hot but it is 90 in Atlanta right now. No matter how much I turned it lower, and again lower, I couldn't feel it. At the Nobu Atlanta restaurant , I had miso soup, tuna avocado roll and soft shell crap. Soup was full of flavor but alittle on the salty side. The rolls were delicious. Pricy-but delicious. read more

Nobu Hotel Atlanta is one of those places where beauty lives in the details. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels intentional and calm. The lobby and hallways are beautifully decorated, especially during the season -- every corner thoughtfully styled, never overdone. There's a quiet elegance to the space that immediately sets the tone. The room itself is absolutely beautiful. Clean lines, warm textures, soft lighting -- everything feels refined, comfortable, and well cared for. It's the kind of room you actually want to slow down in. The rooftop private pool is a standout feature. They occasionally host rooftop pool parties, which adds a fun contrast to the otherwise serene vibe. Unfortunately, during my stay there was ice on the deck, so we couldn't use the pool, but we were still able to step outside, take a few photos, and appreciate how special the space is. On warmer days, I can easily imagine it being a perfect escape. The location is also very convenient -- just a short walk to the mall, restaurants, and shopping, close to everything without feeling crowded. I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant, which is what Nobu is famously known for, but that just gives me a reason to come back next time. Total disappointment. This hotel is far from 5-Star. It's more 2-3 at best. The staff was lovely but if you want room service after 10:30pm you're out of luck. Or if you want breakfast after 10:30 am (or any room service for that matter) They also didn't clean our room when we asked and there's mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. In regards to the restaurant, again staff great, food was just ok. After having been to Nobu in NYC, Los Angeles and Malibu this one is not up to Nobu standards. Kids running around during dinner, people wearing shorts and t-shirts... not the upscale enviroment we were expecting. So all in all, they just need to up their game. The staff can be amazing but they can't change corporates decisions. They seem to cost cut at every corner. Perhaps lower the prices to meet the value? read more

Quite a few misses for a 5 star hotel. They fell terribly short of my expectations. I called several days prior to arriving to let the staff know that I planned a wonderful three night stay with them in celebration of our 15 year anniversary milestone. They asked when we were expected to arrive so that chilled champagne would be set up in our room. When we entered the room, no champagne and the flooring of our room was damaged and we were not offered a room change even though we learned that they were at 60% capacity that weekend. We made dinner reservations and intended to use their Porsche car service. When we arrived down to the lobby, we were told that the driver called out and so sorry. Why wouldn't you have a backup driver? Strange. We had issues with minibar charges upon check out and a honest misunderstanding about their destination fee. We were appalled at the unpleasant energy we received from their front office manager, De Audra S. After we brought all of this to their attention to give them the opportunity to make things right, De Audra offered a discounted rate on a future stay which frankly wasn't acceptable from again, a five star hotel. I also believe the Embassy Suites could have delivered a better customer experience. Shout out to the staff that we were impressed with, Darren, Noah and Nick. I stayed for a nice staycation in January and I was impressed overall but there are some things that needs to improve to be better! First up, if you are driving to the hotel, you can valet for $45 a night. Or you can park in the garage for free but you must part in the designated hotel spots as the other spots are for the mall and you can get towed. Lastly, there is some street parking right out of the hotel which is free but it fills up quickly. I was lucky to get parking right out front of the hotel. Now for check in. The check in process was smooth. The representatives was friendly and I truly appreciated the hot towel. Very refreshing! That would've been even better if I had just gotten off a long flight! Now for the room! The room was very cozy and comfortable. It was nice in size and the bathroom was very modern. And it had everything I needed! The tv was great until I got in the bed to sleep. At that point it stopped working. It kept pixelating. I couldn't even connect my phone via Google Chrome. My assumption is that all of that runs off of Wi-Fi and it too many people are using it at once. But that needs to be fixed. Also my rain shower didn't work which was unfortunate. Luckily the hose was working for the shower so I could still clean myself. But the bed was cozy. The area was quiet. The pool area looks incredible. Sad it was too cold to enjoy it. And the fitness room was incredible!!!! I have never seen such a great workout room at a hotel before. Lastly, my bill was correct at checkout and when charged to my card. So I was definitely happy about that. Hopefully they can fix some of their kinks out and it will be a perfect stay! read more

This was my fourth time staying at the Nobu in ATL and I must say I was a little disappointed in my experience and how it's beginning to decline. To start my check in process was seamless the front desk receptionist are always so kind and professional! Every time I made a call for room service or just a service in general they were quick to respond and super nice. After checking in, I got to my room and noticed it wasn't as clean as the other times I stayed there. There was also bottles of alcohol already missing from the mini fridge and I could tell that the Nobu brand water bottle was refilled and placed back into the fridge. I noticed there were rose petals and strands of hair left on the floor from previous occupants. Also, this has been a recurring issue when staying here; that's the poor drainage system in the shower. The water seeps through the shower doors and floods the entire bathroom area. We have to use all of our towels and request more to clean it up. While I was disappointed in those items, the room service and food provided was again a 10/10 they NEVER MISS! I had the rock shrimp and rice and the person I was with has miso soup and the California Maki sushi it arrived promptly, hot, and fresh! The following night we went out and came back and unfortunately the valet/entrance area was blocked by a slew of prom goers and their families just taking pictures. This caused a delay in being able to go back to the room as it appeared as if APD and the hotel security had no control over getting them to move. They were not only in the way but also very loud and obnoxious. The same night our neighbors were playing loud music up until 3AM. Unfortunately the nonsense is no fault of the staff but perhaps a little more control over these kinds of situations and a little more rules and regulations would help substantially. Did I enjoy my stay? Somewhat. For the price I pay to stay here? No. Would I stay here again? Most likely not. As much I wanted to be a regular, I don't think it'll get better. :( read more

Our entire trip was exceptional. From check in to check out we felt like the staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. We used the hotel car service to drop us off to a couple of destinations and the process was easy and very convienient. We also ate dinner at Nobu our first night at the hotel. Food was exceptional and we loved having a dining option right there at the hotel that was opened late. The rooms were clean and spacious. Very quiet and the entire hotel is scented to perfection. Only feedback is I wish they provided water or atleast water bottle refill stations on each floor. We will certainly be staying again in the near future. read more

I was surprised at the reviews here and probably wouldn't have chosen this place because of them, but my boyfriend had surprised me for our anniversary with a night downtown and he shows this hotel. Aesthetically , the lobby was very pretty. But the experience did not start well. For one, I don't know why because there were not that many people ahead of us, but somehow we waited probably close to half an hour to get to check in. The room was nice, and I really like the different lighting. The room was clean, but the view on second level wasn't all that good. The bed was comfortable. But there was something making noise the whole night. That was such an annoyance. In a brighter note, I was impressed with their gym. It was super nice for a hotel. They do have a rooftop pool, kind of on the smaller side, very boutique.-ish. The restaurant Nobu is connected to the hotel. They do have a service vehicle, a Porsche Cayman, that will take you up to 5 miles away if it's available. We valeted the car. You can request your car on your phone and we sat there and waited forever and finally I asked someone about it and they said no one had even gotten the car yet. So I don't know where the disconnect was there, but it was a bunch of waiting for nothing and we had to make a reservations for later. I will say Darren who works at the front was friendly and great! Otherwise I'd definitely say I'd keep looking as there are too many choices in Atlanta to settle for mediocre. read more

Melvin was wonderful and so helpful! The hotel can be confusing for uber driver to find the entrance and was always present to provide assistance. He also always made sure I had a cold water. We had dinner downstairs at the restaurant one night and Nikki was our server. She was not only so kind and personable, but provided us with the best recommendations! Everything she recommended was so delicious. I've stayed at a few Nobu Hotels and dined at several different locations. Booked a king room, was given two double beds (not an issue for me) Asked if I could use the hotel car to take me to my meeting and was told no but to call in an hour as both cars sat empty outside. Pretty sure they are just for show. Hotel phone did not work Television did not work Called to order room service (from my cell) from nobu restaurant. An hour later it arrived with no soy sauce for the sushi. Called and was told it would be a 30minjte wait. The food tray they put on my bed was wet on the bottom and left stains on my comforter- good thing I had 2 beds! Waited an hour for engineer to come fix the tv and phone. Called back and was told he is finishing up with another client. (9:30 pm now) he arrives not long after completely stoned and reeking of weed to tell me the tv doesn't work and phone doesn't work (thanks!) 11:15 pm I'm woken up to banging on my door. It was hotel staff who then apologized as they were at the wrong room. Do not stay here! Total mess as other reviews clearly show. The downfall of this establishment will be because of their service standard, or lack there of. I booked a ONE night stay for NYE, was charged for minibar items we didn't use & now am being met with attitude & ego. How do you charge someone over $100 worth of mini bar items & expect them to not be upset after you tell them to just dispute it with their bank? I'll try to keep this concise because I'm honestly over this entire thing because I'm severely disappointed. Booked a 1 night stay for nye & had consistent issues with service. When we got into our room, we took a quick look around & noticed we didn't have a menu for the minibar & were interested in how much everything was (wanted to get a price point since this is a new hotel/restaurant) so we called down to have one brought up... never came so we didn't use anything from the mini bar & moved about our day. Throughout the night, the tv consistently went out & became pixelated. We had to call the front desk several times to get them to reset it, but that didn't work so they had to send someone from engineering to our room in order to reset it... still didn't work. Luckily it was after midnight so we were winding our night down & didn't need the tv, until the morning when it did the same thing. We had to call the front desk several times outside of the tv issues because we needed extra pillows, a knife (for food we brought) & in the morning wanted room service. Every time we called to request something, we either never got it (mini bar menu, pillows & knife) or had to damn near harass the front desk by calling down to get it. Why do we have to pull teeth for a few pillows or a menu? I hate patronizing an establishment where the service is subpar all around & when you finally react to the obvious disrespect, you're told that you're being aggressive. No one ever answers the front desk phones (see other reviews) & there never seems to be a manger on duty... unless that's just a lie. I had high expectations for this new hotel/restaurant, but maybe I need to be a celebrity in order to get more refined service. The price point you pay does not match the kind of service you'll be met with at Nobu Atlanta. I'm severely disappointed & hate the fact that I've been taken advantage of. **UPDATE** Had to repost this review to the hotels yelp page since I put it in the restaurants page... however, I'm STILL working with my bank to dispute the fraudulent charge the staff at Nobu Atlanta placed on my CC. Su O'Brien, Director of Finance, advised that she'd be contacting me on Jan 4th... I haven't heard from her since that last email communication. The management & higher level execs simply don't care so stay there if you'd like *shrug* ***FINAL UPDATE*** The staff at Nobu hotel were unresponsive to my CC company reaching out regarding the dispute for fraudulent charges... so proof is in the pudding. Hopefully they employ more competent staff that specializes in conflict resolution so they don't continue losing money & making this location look like a joke. read more

Originally I was not irritated because the hotel was in touch with me and said they would fix everything. However, since then, Nobu has continuously argued with hotels.com stating that they will not do the refund, while simultaneously emailing me telling me they will issue the refund. So here you go Had some serious issues mid December when I checked in. It was beyond comprehension. Hotel guess we're down in the lobby complaining. No one was at the front desk for 15 minutes. Wi-Fi would not work. We had to change rooms because our first bathroom was not clean, it had still been used and not cleaned. No one would pick up at the front desk. The only positive was the room was nice. We left three hours after we checked in. Still could not get a hold of management. Sent an email to headquarters and area manager got back to us stating they would refund. We have yet to receive the refund or any returned calls or emails stating they will refund. To make matters worse they charged my CC on top of the original room charge another $250. Absolutely mind blowing! read more

We were highly disappointed at our stay at the NOBU Atlanta hotel. I called prior to ensure they had room service and I was assured they did. Woke up this morning and they couldn't provide it today... not sure how their staff issues became mine the customer. There are hundreds of hotels in Atlanta I could have stayed at... but we stayed at the NOBU.. the room was very small and cramped! No way it was 435 sq feet. The staff that was working at the hotel today didn't seem to care about the customer's experience. In fact we have a service dog and was charged 150$ for the stay! I recommend any other hotel in Buckhead! There are many more nicer hotels! read more

Stayed at the Nobu from the 18th to the 21st of September. What a nightmare. First night the TV doesnt work. I call down at 10:05 PM and they say its too late to fix it. Then, I try and use the pool and they say they need a part to fix the heater and its closed. Then the app for bringing up the cars doesnt work. Then they dont have drivers to take me 1.5 miles away for breakfast on their porsche which is there so that you can familarize yourself with the cars. Then we ask for waters to be brought up in the morning, didnt come till noon, had to call twice. but the biggest thing was that a couple was partying, then fighting and their noise was coming into our room through the AC vent like they were in our rooms. STarted at 7pm and went all the way to 7:30 AM. We called at 10pM to let the staff know and they didnt send anyone to see about it. This couple fought non stop and yelling and screaming for 12.5 hours. Hotel did nothing. Then when I reported it they offered to comp me a night. Took me two times of threating to send a letter to the board of directors for them to actually issue the comp. I had to fight for it. Unbelievable how these people just dont care. read more

Recently stayed at Nobu Atlanta on their Porsche Presidential suite. Upon checking in we were given keys to a small room/ knowing the Porsche suite was booked. When brought to the attention of the front desk staff I was told the curtains did not work, per their housekeeping so I was downgraded. After going back and fourth I was given the keys to the suite and told to check if the curtains worked (not my responsibility) upon checking into the room, curtains worked just fine. The beds in this hotel are THE WORST! Flat pillows, uncomfortable pillows. The only thing I can say was the breakfast the following morning was delicious. However offered "complimentary" breakfast I was charged $76 upon checking out. Staffing and comfortability needs improvements. read more

Had to discuss with management at checkout why I was charged 38$ for a breakfast that I never ate...was informed that my hotel rate included a "breakfast package" which I never intended. They would not reverse the fee even though I was unaware. On the second day, I had breakfast, and was charged 4$ for a coffee refill for a less than 6 oz. cup of coffee, while there was "free" coffee less than 10 feet away from me in the lobby.. Even the very wealthy (which I am not) enjoy not being nickeled and dimed for every single detail..coffee refills should be free. The 35$ plus options in the restaurant tasted stale and were not worth the cost...buyer beware. When did Nobu get its Michelin stars?? Oh...it didn't...not worth the costs in my opionion. The neighborhood is NOT walkable if you are young and want to walk around....this is not the place to stay for you. Also, I went for my birthday and wanted to see the pool and relax there....but there was a sign up saying it was closed for a private even one night...but actually that turned in to threre nights, and the sign was never updated, nor were guests of the hotel informed...poor service and I missed out on this amenity...which I paid for. I will NOT EVER be returning to this property. St Regis from now on... If I could give this place zero stars I would. Claudia is the rudest customer service person I've ever dealt with. If you want to be lied to and bullied by the staff than maybe stay here. I left my dinner reservation at 7:30 PM and my room was at 76° and I thought OK when I come back it will go lower. when I arrive back at 12:30 AM My room was at 89 they tired to say that they had no available rooms but on the website they did so I waited until 2 am in the morning to get moved into a room to sleep in. At this point my booked room was 90°. I came back the next day waiting for my room to have gone down in heat and they told me that they had no update on it (this was at 11:50pm next day) they had previously told me the night before that they would be refunding me and making sure my room would be good to go when I returned after my work day, and the same girl Claudia acted like she had no regulation of our conversation from 2:30 in the morning the previous day. The front desk staff acted like I inconvenienced them. Don't expect to stay here and get a fraction of what you paid for or even close to it. This stuff is full of incompetent members that don't want to make good on the company mistake. Was part of free ALL expense paid event on 09/21/24. At check in we were asked to leave a credit card for "incidentals".. although I hesitated I assumed it was just a formality. Checking out the next morning I was charged $127.00 along with other amounts, I questioned the charge and was reassured it would be credited back once the company hosting the vent checked out. Fast forward to the current date and we are still dealing with multiple charges being charged to my credit card. After speaking with management and being told it would be taken care of, they still continue to make fraudulent charges weekly as of today 10/23/24. All documentation has been provided to them showing the event was free. At this point I have no trust that they aren't doing something fraudulent and have been forced to cancel my CC. I would NOT recommend this hotel for ANY event or for any special occasion. Double check your CC statments!! I know I can't be the only one this could be happening to. read more
