Winding down the week, I wanted to have a nice meal. Someone mentioned to me I should try Noches de Colombia. I set that nav to fun! I pulled up to an unassuming restaurant. Walking inside, it's not a fancy restaurant. But closer examination shows beautiful hand made pastries. I want to skip dinner and have both Flan and Tres Leche cake! I'm with a buddy and I ask for beer menu. No alcohol I'm told. Ok, lemme have one of these cool looking drinks, coconut with lime. (Is it lime in the coconut??) while my buddy orders something similar to a Horchata. I expected my drink to be slightly sweet, the lime is cutting thru all the sweetness. My buddy is loving his drink, it's like liquid cinnamon French Toast! We ordered plantains and freshly made guacamole for the table. This starter was out of bounds. Sooo good! I ordered the Churrasquito steak. Just a perfectly cooked piece of meat, tender, succulent and juicy. My waitress asked if I would like Chimichurri sauce, I said sure! And then I never saw her again. I was so packed, I had to pass on dessert. Noches de Colombia is a place where a dad can bring his family, have a nice steak dinner and doesn't break the bank. Quality, authentic food being served. It was a pleasure to dine here.

First food, everything was excellent. The chicharron was best I have had. My meal was a skirt steak and shrimp salad. Steak was cooked perfectly tender and juicy. My dessert was warm bread pudding with caramel and chocolate sauces topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Delicious! Next service, top notch. We were well attended to from beginning to end of our meal. Friendly, fast and courteous. Last ambiance, I was impressed with the cleanliness and all well kept. Plenty of TVs to watch a game or whatever else. Oh, it's BYOB which is good to know beforehand! Highly recommended! Plus even has a nice outdoor seating area when in season and the weather cooperates. Check out my pics from here too

We ordered from Noches in Lincoln Park, with great expectations. Their menu is varied and presented great opportunities. We ended up disappointed. The good news is that the mini empanadas were light and wonderful. A winner. The grilled chicken sandwich was generous and nicely done. And the Morcilla (blood sausage) was mild and not icersalted, as it can be at other places. Bravo! The bad news was the fried calamari, which was overcooked and very dry and tough. The Pargo Frito (fried snapper) was similarly overdue I ne, yielding dry fish inside the heavily fried outer fish. The rice was clumpy, not fluffy. If we choose to order from Niches Lincoln Park, we'll be very selective.

Vacations have been downgraded to staycations, but if you don't have a car then getting to Lincoln Park from JC is almost as difficult as California. The December day just barely met my standards for outdoor dining and the train schedule was unforgiving, but it was fun to have a trip that felt like a Jim Jarmusch movie. For a second I resisted Noches de Colombia because it's a chain, but there wasn't much else to choose from and it turned out well. I got the "sharing picadita" with a "little bite of everything." This wasn't shared. The fare, consumed at a nearby scenic park at the confluence of two rivers with sort of a rural Louisiana look, included fried yuca, Colombian sausage, pork cracklings, and mini empanadas. It was excellent and larger than expected, and included green, red and pink sauces. The Uber pickup process was convenient and the workers were great.

Shrimps were delicious, beans had great flavor and flan was yummy!

The service was pleasant, the food was DELICIOUS, the flavor is not overwhelming or greasy, the shrimps were clean and fresh. They blend their natural drinks well and the flan was AMAZING! Our family was surprised that the reviews has 3 star, which almost made us not go there. BUT we were extremely delighted that we went and had a wonderful lunch.Clean and kind humans, that we are in need of today. God bless

Mar y Tierra. A delicious combo of all my favorites.

Was in the Lincoln Park area and had stopped by for lunch. There was no wait and was seated immediately. We have been to other Noches locations and was pretty familiar with the menu. Our waitress came by and took our drink order and then we also placed an order for appetizers and entrees. We chose the chicharrones, beef empanadas, and pandebono. The appetizers came out fairly quickly. The chicharrones were cut into small pieces and were also offered the green and pink sauces. They were perfectly cooked and tasted great with the dipping sauces. The empanada was okay. The pandebono was my favorite! I love that cheesy taste in every bite. Our entree came out soon after. I had ordered the mar y mar which is a filet and shrimp in a delicious cream sauce with a choice of 2 sides. My fiancé had ordered the chicken and was also served with 2 sides. I will say the portions are very large but you def get your moneys worth. We both enjoyed our meals and still had plenty to take home. The food was great and service was good for not too busy Sunday afternoon.

I have never wasted so much money for hardly any food. This all costed $55, this is the most egregious price for food I have seen. This is by far the worst portion size I have ever seen. There is no excuse for the price gouge. I'll never order from here again.

My friend suggested this location close to her home when we wanted to meet for dinner. I saw that they serve the wine but when we arrived we found out it was only a limited selection by the bottle however they allow you to go across the street to the convenient store and bring something else of your liking, that's pretty fantastic! I ordered something I've never had before, the Frijolada. A massive bowl of red beans topped with ground beef, pork cracklings, chorizo, sweet plantains and avocado, which they forgot to put on. It was a tasty combination of soft, crispy, sweet and spicy from the hot sauce I doused it in. My friend ordered the Pork Loin Hawaiian Style. A dish which one human cannot eat in one sitting. A few grilled cutlets topped with melted cheese ham and pineapple with a side of yellow rice and fried plantains. Needless to say we were both eating for about a week with what we took home. This is a great chain of local restaurants in our area with this being one of the smallest and quiet ones I've visited.

Small Columbian within a small north jersey town. Staff are pleasant and prompt. The restaurant follows COVID sanctions to the utmost and most importantly the portions are LARGE for the price. If ordered the fried snapper with white rice, beans and sweet plantation. A solid 7/10. I will be back for sure.

Alright this needed to be addressed! I bought this sandwich, placed it online and directions were clear but unfortunately and understandable the cook was confused with how the order was placed. I asked for the grilled sandwich which come with fries and asked for guacamole. The option asked guacamole + or bacon & i chose guacamole. Some how I still ended up with bacon on my sandwich. As you can see the sand which was well put together, wasn't messy but when I called and explained that I had bacon on the sandwich & that I didn't want bacon on it. They told me or actually asked if I can take the bacon off and I said that's not what I ordered. I didn't want bacon on it and being that there as bacon on it I didn't know how they made the sandwich therefore I didn't want the sandwich or another one being made just based on how they addressed the situation. I placed the order November 10th and have yet to receive refund I'll give them a call next week to get an update but I'm just saying if I was religious and I was told to just take the bacon off I would've been very very offended!

Sancocho de gallina...hen stew. Heating it up to add some vegetables and actually make it a stew!

I ordered a large soup with white rice and salad that cost over $20, never again! The soup had 1/2 a potato, 1/4 corn, & 1 chicken leg...what a rip off! The traditional dish is usually good but this soup order is just not right.

Over the years, I've noticed that both the food quality and service have been inconsistent. There have been visits where I left very satisfied with both the staff and the food. However, there have also been occasions when unexpected charges appeared on the final bill, which was disappointing. On this most recent visit, the food was good overall, I'd describe it as average and fair for the price. The restaurant was busy, though not completely full, since they were showing the Brazil vs. Norway soccer match. They definitely have the setup and atmosphere for soccer fans, especially with the World Cup excitement. One downside involved our drinks. We ordered a Passion Fruit Margarita and a Passion Fruit Caipirinha. Since they looked almost identical, we weren't sure which was which when they arrived. The drinks were dropped off by the manager, not our waitress, and he walked away immediately. When we called him back to ask which drink was which, he replied in a slightly ironic tone, "Which one do you think it is?" We explained that was exactly why we were asking as we could not identify. He then said one had sugar on the rim and the other had salt. Unless you're a bartender or taste each drink, that's not immediately obvious. It wasn't a major issue, but I was surprised by the response. A simple, courteous answer would have been appreciated. There was another interaction that left a similar impression. We asked our waitress approximately how long the food would take because we were considering ordering an appetizer if the wait was long. Her response was simply, "I don't know, and I can't tell you how long." While I understand exact times aren't always possible, a more helpful response would have gone a long way. I would have gladly given this place one more star if those service interactions hadn't happened. The food was decent, but the customer service made the experience less enjoyable. I'm not sure whether I'll choose this location again, especially considering it isn't an inexpensive restaurant. I hope they can improve the level of hospitality because the food and for this World Cup season the soccer atmosphere certainly have potential.
