Since I had no use for it, it was just dead space. I decided to convert it into a bookcase. Roberto, the carpenter, was punctual for both the initial consultation and the job itself. He built the bookcase onsite to my specifications, using stainable wood with adjustable shelves. Other quotes I received claimed the work couldn't be done properly due to the room's wainscoting and chair rail, but Roberto handled it with ease. His craftsmanship is top-notch, and the price was reasonable. Here are some photos from mid-demolition and the final raw result. I plan to have the bookcase stained and caulked around the edges to complete the project. This is part of a larger renovation, and I already have painters lined up. I'll post another picture once it's finished. In the next 1-2 years, we'll be gutting our kitchen, and I definitely plan to use Roberto for our cabinets. Don't hesitate to give him a call. Happy customer!

I sent him pictures of the space and dimensions, along with pictures of what I wanted it to look like. I got a quote right away. He worked quickly and arrived on time. We painted it ourselves and added the glass and hardware. We are very happy with how it turned out! I'd recommend Carpenter Roberto!

The technicians (2) arrived on time, provided an estimate (replace two sets of attic stairs…read more(wooden) with aluminum stairs) and when we accepted the bid began work immediately. The job took several hours and apparently required more help as other techs were brought in to help complete the task. As a side note, we appreciated this being done as we have had projects done before where more help was needed and there was a delay in the job completion while everyone sat around and waited for the help to arrive. The group from "All in 1" did not delay bringing in other folks to help. When the job was completed they cleaned up the entire area and stacked to old material neatly outside for bulk pickup. Costwise: "All in 1" was within the range of other companies but is on the high side for the DFW market, but we felt we got our dollar's worth for the task and would use them again.

The business is family-owned, and while there's nothing wrong with that, if you weren't part of the family, you were often viewed as an outsider. You were frequently judged and criticized for how you worked--even when you were following their instructions. They would change things at the last minute, sometimes within hours, and if you didn't adjust accordingly--without even realizing--they would criticize you, questioning why you were doing something, even though they were the ones who put that process in place. When the owner spoke to customers, he spoke to them as if they were ignorant, often judging them based on how they sounded on the phone, making them feel uninformed. He also had a tendency to speak over them, cutting them off every time he spoke, never allowing them to fully express themselves. The pricing tended to vary significantly depending on the perceived scale of the customer's property--those with more expensive homes often received much higher estimates. When an estimate was presented, if the client didn't respond in the way the owner wanted, he would instruct the technician to raise the estimate dramatically, driven purely by emotion and frustration, just to get as much as possible. And if the customer didn't accept, he would have the technician dismiss them, making them seem unreasonable and not worth any further time or effort. The owner claimed they were doing the Lord's work, wanting to be good stewards, but in reality, this felt conditional--their investment in employees or jobs depended on the value of the work. Furthermore, they pushed their religious beliefs onto certain employees--those who didn't attend the same church or didn't share their views were often judged and made to feel unworthy. I think it is extremely important to point out that if you are a particular ethnicity then you are automatically disqualified from their services in which they will come up with a reason not willing to help you. I want to be clear--I'm not coming from a place of hostility as a former employee; I am simply concerned for future customers and employees who shouldn't be treated this way. If the business truly claims the values they profess, then their actions need to align--right now, what's happening is the exact opposite, and it's not good business practice.
