I wrote in the time that I wanted to start which was 1230 pm. I show up at 1230 exactly and go to check in at the outpost Hut. The 2 guys inside the Hut tell me they didn't see my reservation and they rented out all their balls to a group that just came in..... So...we had to WAIT until the group was finished to get the balls to play.... On top of that, I paid $10 per person to play, and the guy in the hut tells me there's only 6 or 7 holes available since they use the course to pop fireworks off of. New years was about a week ago!! You're telling me, you're too lazy to put back the holes for a whole week?! Cmon man..... Then, I ask for a cart to put all our stuff in and he tells me that they don't rent out carts but that I could get one at the golf hut. So my mom walks all the way over to the golf hut for them to tell her that they don't rent out golf carts for soccer golf......?! So then after all of this, the guy in the outpost hut tells me he will refund me the balls we rented as a way to make up the unfinished course and the time we had to wait for the balls to come back. That was nice of them.....except for the fact that he didn't do it!!! He was straight up lying. Bc i kept checking my account and I didn't see no refund pending from them.... So I waited 2-3 days then I finally call them back checking up on the refund. Explain the whole thing and I'm pretty sure the guy who answered the phone was the same guy who told me he would refund it to me the day of my reservation! So he puts me on hold and tells me that a manager has to be the one to refund me. So why did that guy in the outpost hut tell me he was refunding me if he really wasn't?!?! To top it all off, the course looks like crap. And they don't even have a score card to give you. Good thing I took a picture of their somewhat course layout so I knew where the heck I was going. The course is literally just grass that is so overgrown and bumpy that you cannot even call it foot golf. Save yourself time and don't go here.

The environment is classic 90s Hawaii vibe and the service is great! Jennifer was cheery and smart even despite dealing with a mountain of customers, phillippe returned my car and he was the sweetest most caring rental car attendant ive ever talked to.     Hidden fees doubled our rental cost from $250 to $590…read more My friend and I booked a rental through the Uber app with Economy Rent A Car because it was advertised at about $44 per day with unlimited mileage which came out to roughly $250 for a one-week rental. This seemed like a great deal, but unfortunately, that is not what we ended up paying. Upon arrival, my friend spoke to a lady representative and was presented with several additional fees that were not clearly disclosed upfront. These included a $140 charge for using a debit card (since we did not have a credit card), a $52.50 surcharge that had no explanation, a $38.50 location charge, a $7 vehicle licensing fee, and a $70 insurance charge (with the alternative being a $1,000 hold if we declined insurance). Because of these added fees, our total cost increased from the expected $250 to about $590. This was more than double what we anticipated paying. One of the biggest issues we experienced was the lack of transparency. We were not given a clear, itemized breakdown of all charges before payment, and it wasn't until the end of the rental that we fully understood the total cost. This made the experience feel misleading and frustrating. My friend was also told by the lady that rented her the car that the $140 debit card fee would be refunded when we returned the vehicle safely. We made sure to return the car in good condition, even vacuuming it to avoid any cleaning fees due to concerns about sand. However, we were later told we would not be receiving that refund, which was extremely disappointing and misleading. Additionally, another customer at the same location mentioned they only paid around $167 for their rental, which raised concerns about inconsistent pricing. Another customer who was riding the rental shuttle also expressed grievances with her experience. To give a fair review, the Nissan Sentra we rented was clean and got us from point A to point B without any issues. There were some expected dents and damages already on the vehicle, but none caused by us. The car was also very fuel-efficient and didn't require much gas, which we appreciated. However, the USB charging port did not work when we tried to charge our phone, which was inconvenient during our trip. We were also required to return the car with at least 3/4 of a tank, and we actually returned it with more than that, so we were not charged for fuel. On a positive note, Dennis, our shuttle driver, was absolutely wonderful from the beginning. His customer service was phenomenal as he was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond for us. He thought we were tourists at first, but even after we told him we live here, he still took the time to give us a Popeyes discount coupon and share a bunch of great, affordable food recommendations. He was so kind and thoughtful. When brining us back to the airport, he saw us heading toward the public restroom, he even ran out to give us the passcode. From pickup to drop-off, Dennis made us feel cared for. We also spoke with him on the way back to the airport, and he was very empathetic toward our concerns. He apologized and shared that other guests have experienced similar issues. We truly hope the company recognizes and takes care of employees like him because he is a shining example of excellent customer service and honestly made our experience better. Overall, while the vehicle itself was functional and efficient, the experience was overshadowed by unexpected fees, lack of transparency, and confusion around charges and refunds. It's especially disappointing because we were looking for a stable, long-term rental we could rely on, but this experience did not meet those expectations which led us to return this car and look for a different company. We would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company carefully review all terms, ask for a full itemized breakdown of charges before paying, and read reviews beforehand to avoid unexpected costs. We definitely learned from this experience and hope this helps others make a more informed decision.
