I wasn't sure what was going on, but I knew it had to be looked at before It got worse. I contacted Dansen's Auto Repair and described over the phone what I've been experiencing. I go to Dansen's for safety check and oil changes as they always do excellent work and the prices are affordable. They were busy, but let me know it was OK for me to bring my car in and they were going to look at my car once they were done taking care of the automobiles they were working on at the moment. The narrowed it down to my starter, contacted me and ask if I wanted to move forward with replacing the starter. I said yes. They replaced the starter, tested it and contacted me to let me know. that my car was ready to be picked up. They finished it sooner than expected. I was so happy because my car gets me to frequent doctor appointments and physical therapy. I cannot Thank Dansen's Auto Repair enough for all of their hard work, honesty, excellent communication skills in the office and their amazing Technicians. If I could I would give them a 0. 2 and a half years ago, I took my car to Pearl City Auto Works for a brake job. It cost me almost $5k to do it. Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. I called them up and they were able to take me the same day, got it done in a few hours and were able to use my own provided parts. The shop is extremely clean and the bay looks organized, seems they work on many different makes and models. After picking up my car they didn't install the O2 sensors because I didn't need it. The guy at the front went through what the cause was and gave me some tips on preventing it and they didn't even charge me! Car is running great so far. Great service and they earned a new customer, I will be back to service my other cars here soon, highly recommend this shop.

I returned at EXACTLY 1pm and saw there was a car in the garage so the guy tells me that as soon as this car is done I could pull in. I waited maybe 10mins. The car pulls out and the guy waves me to come in. He guides me all the way into the garage and takes my registration and insurance cards. He begins walking around my vehicle looking at my car and checking whatever around the car. At this point it's 1:15pm. He walks into the office with my paperwork and Immediately comes back out and tells me, "Sorry..we're going on lunch". I was like, what? You told me to come back at 1. I was here before 1. After some help from the parts store employee we found that my battery wasn't holding a charge. I bought a new battery and alternator from the store and asked for a referral to a mobile mechanic, they gave me this card. Josh answered the phone immediately and agreed to come all the way out to Makakilo from Mililani where he was at the time, his price he quoted me was very fair. He arrived at my house within 30 minutes and immediately got to work on my car. There was an issue with the part, the girl at the store sold me the wrong part . Josh offered to drive all the way back down and exchange it. He came back with my change and agreed not to add to the original quote he gave me. My car is running great and I may even hire him again for other maintenance services! I recommend him to anyone in need of mechanical work.
