Let me start if by saying, I am someone that likes to hear about other people's experiences before I go. I read some of the reviews on Yelp and was a little bit nervous about changing lash places, but then I thought it seems like so many people only write reviews when something bad happens. It just didn't seem fair - plus I've been in Burlingame long enough to know if a place was really bad it wouldn't last long. (And I could get the lashes removed if they really were bad lol) Anyways - So pleased with my lashes! I've only been getting lashes for 3 months and have always gone into San Francisco, which is about 20-30 minutes out of my way. I've walked by Noir Lashes on my lunch break numerous times, but never considered going there until I went for a day without any lashes...I looked dead! I checked online that morning and booked an evening appointment - Sylvia brought me back to life! She did such a great job - no pain in my eyes once I opened (it's happened multiple time at my other lash place), double checking places that might have been missed, and was very helpful with aftercare suggestions. Moral of the story, don't judge a book by its cover (or business by its reviews). I was pleasantly surprised and so happy with the outcome. read more

Do not go to faith. She says she's been lashing for three years I never ever had an experience like this in my life my girl been lashing for one year has never left my eyes so irritated. The girl I went to here Steph was so amazing left my lashes flawless lashes lasted on for a good 2 weeks I'm going on 1 week with faiths service and they're all falling off she was talking about my service before how "they were tangled" so unprofessional as tangled as they were supposedly never left bumps on my eyes and never felt like every lash is poking my eye lid. I keep calling to get them removed they don't have anything until until Friday if it's such an emergency I should be able to get in right away. Their scheduling should be a little more convenient for people and have more staffing that actually KNOW what they're doing. Also when I called about my irritation they said the lash removal is "on them" but I'd have to pay for a full service when their girl faith messed up my lashes to begin with. read more

This was the WORST customer service I have ever received in my entire life. They stopped me and said they were out of time when I had barely any lashes on! She asked if I wanted more and I said yes and she said I needs to make another appt.... They didn't have anything until 3 days later! I am leaving town in 2... She required I pay full price for half the lashes I wanted... She was incredibly rude and insensitive and tried to tell me I was 20 minutes late... My appt was as at 10am and I walked in at 10:03.... I will be calling to speak to a manager and using another lash place unless this is rectified. I cannot believe it. read more

Horrible and tacky, franchise! I've had my lashes done many-o-times in my life and I've never been this traumatized by the experience, EVER. First of all, I decided to try Noir Lash because the *advertised services are a lot cheaper than my usual small boutique salon which has been increasingly harder to get into so I figured with 2 locations in the Bay Area it would be a win-win. However, I couldn't find an available appt online so I called for help booking an appt. I told the woman over the phone that I still had lashes from another salon (since they make it clear they don't work over other artists' lashes) so I wanted to let her know. When I arrived, the technician walked me to the busted-ass black leather table held together with black duct tape. She asked me if I had extensions on and I replied, "yes." She reiterated the fact she would have to remove them and start fresh, which I was prepared for. She was clearly upset that I didn't add the lash removal service to my appt. I told her I was clear to the person who I spoke to about that and her response was, "I'll have to have a talk with her!" She basically said she'll do what she could with the little time she had but she wasn't happy. The lash application was a HORRIBLE experience! The tape she added to my bottom lashes hurt! It felt like glue seeping into eyes; a stinging sensation I've never felt before. I asked her what was happening because it was scaring me! All I could do was think about the terrible stories I've read online about lash extensions and I didn't want to walk out of there blind! She said it was tape (like stop being a drama queen). It must have been the side of the tape slicing my eyeball that hurt so bad (thank God I wear contacts, hopefully that added layer helped to protect my poor eyes from real damage). I was noticeably uncomfortable and told her it was stinging my eyes but she literally said and did absolutely nothing. On top of not giving a damn that my eye balls were on fire and I was incredibly uncomfortable, she told me that new full sets of lashes must be applied between fills to avoid bacteria?!?! What?? So the $48 fill quickly turned into 1 full lash application (@ $95) every other visit??? The place I've been going to for the past 8 months never said such crap. I'll I've ever done was a full set + fills every 2-3 weeks. That's it! What kind of shitty products are they using that bacteria is a clear, frequent, and present danger every other service? Is it a health issue or larger profit margins? I'm leaning towards the latter. To make matters worse, she never even asked how I like my lashes to look. She asked me if I liked the length of my current extensions and I said yes. I was vocal to her that I wanted the same style and length I came in with that looked natural. But of course, they turned out much longer with a dramatic curl I did not ask for. They don't look natural at all and now I'm really embarrassed to see my family for Christmas :( Needless to say, I'm just happy I still have my vision after all that. My left eyeball still hurts...it's probably scratched by all the tape. I will not be going back as these are the only 2 precious eyeballs I get in this life, I'd like to keep them healthy and happy! Please don't give this business your time or money. This place clearly cares more about their profits than their customers. I was completely mislead by their advertised prices. After doing the math, I'd rather pay the additional $4 a month more to return to my fabulous chic, clean, comfortable, and caring salon in SF who I had just cheated on! (Sorry) read more

FRUSTRATING!! LONG waits for appointments only for them to be cancelled at the last minute (over and over again). It feels like a part time job trying to rearrange my schedule to accommodate a rescheduled appointment after a cancellation for that appointment to only be cancelled again and I have to start over. I have a full time job with travel, when I book a series of appointments (removal, full, mini-fill, fill, mini-fill), I'd LOVE for Noir Lash to honor those appointments and the scheduling to be easy. All the technicians are wonderful and the lashes are acceptable for the price; however management needs to get their act together!! read more

I'm sad to leave a so/so review here since I've been coming here so long (over a year). The service is great and all of the technicians are very professional and do an amazing job on the lashes and the price is reasonable. HOWEVER the management here sucks (just read all of the other reviews saying the same thing). There are extremely long wait times between appointments (around a month). And the thing that drives me nuts is that appointments constantly get cancelled the day of with no warning. It's frustrating when you schedule an appointment months in advance and it gets cancelled on you last moment. I had an appointment for a fill and now I won't be able to get one for another couple of weeks. So now instead, I have to get them removed because they will look completely ratchet by then. I called last week and they said they only have one technician that week working there. Seriously???? Overall: Pros: Reasonable prices for extensions Technicians all do a great job Cons: Unreliable and flaky with appointments Difficult to get an appointment Please fix your management of the place so I can leave you the full five stars!! :) read more

I just moved from SF and loved the idea of a blow-dry style place just for eyelashes but unfortunately I am going to stick to mom & pop eyelash places. I booked a full set ($85) but didn't realize that if you want a real lash job you need to book one of their overpriced "volume" sets at $215. I get there and apparently the person on the phone booked me for a false eyelash apptmt so I had to wait 30 minutes. Afterwards I get in my car and a lash is already falling off and another is wonky. Exactly two weeks later I booked a fill and was 15 min late so even though NO ONE was in the waiting area when i was done she said I would have to come back for the other 15 min. I also got scolded that my lashes were "less than 50% full" but if you saw the before job, there wasn't much added to begin with. I get back to my car and there is a loose white thread stuck to my lash and when i pulled it out - two eyelashes came off. The technician was Latrice - I do not recommend her. When I came back for the other 15 minutes Stephanie was super nice and did a great fill job even though it should have been half of an apptmt. The two stars are for her! Bottom line: Wish the employees would actually pay attention to detail before you leave the salon (like fix any errant lashes or clean up) and have one to two services like mom & pop places so you can actually get what you want. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I tried it on a whim after i saw a fashion blogger friend of mine wearing them and loved and ranted and raved about it. I have seen probably every tech there. I had a full set on that were too long and they took them off for free and put on a new full set for me that was amazing. I love the smaller look i had but now wish they were a little more full (which i will ask for when i go in for my next fill). The price could be a littttttle cheaper in my opinion but i understand being competitive with the market. I would love to see them run some promos and discounts for existing customers. I have had Meggie and Latrice and love them. Both super gentle and fun to talk to. They listen to my requests and are super accommodating. I am the type of person that if they are not perfect i will call back and fix them until they are. To me, being an entrepreneur and business owner myself, i believe in satisfactory work and asking for something if you are not satisfied- allowing the salon and or technician to fix their poor work. This has happened to me there after i had lashed falling out after 4 days of being there. They took me right in and had it fully removed and done right. Thanks girls! read more

I woke up like this! I've been having my lashes done at Noir Lash for two years. I absolutely adore having them. I've had to move back-and-forth from San Francisco and Burlingame. They have been having some staffing issues in Burlingame. Senior technicians which cost about 30% more may be worth it for some. I'm definitely not going for that. I feel like there are some outdated and unfair comments here or you had a bad experience. You can always call their phone number to give them the feedback, and my experience is they will make up for it. You must not get them wet for the 24 hours or they will come off. They are by appointment only and credit cards only. My lashes last about 3 to 4 weeks. There is the option for a full set or a fill. If you have a full set appointment and you have lashes o, be sure to book a removal in addition. You can schedule online or by phone or with your lash tech at the end of your appointment. I think the prices reflected above should be updated I think they've had a price increase. With the full removal, my eyes are blurry afterwards. I now wear glasses on those days. They have a new program of unlimited fill's which are under $50 (I think. I actually buy a yearly subscription). After a few fills, they have a "clean " which is about $35. I think it makes sense just to book a removal and full set since it's really similar in price. With the full removal, my eyes (contacts) are blurry afterwards. I now wear glasses on those days. So I'm really happy. I don't go because they are slightly less money Or don't require a contract. I go because I'm perfectly happy. Jenny fixed my lashes. Not that they were super messed up, I was just left feeling that they were sparse in some areas. When Jenny finished she changed the look completely from a cat eye to a Cleo and they came out way better. She really opened my eyes! As I was leaving I learned that she took the initiative to call on customers who have come in to simply check to see if they were happy with their service. She invited me to come back in to see if she could make me happier with the results. It was completely voluntary on her part! I told her that had she not called, I probably wouldn't have come back. Pros: I received a complimentary set with trainee, Cindy. Extremely nice. My lashes looked really good after. i wanted a more natural, not to full of a set and she did just that. I loved it. I would go back to her. I did my removal with Latrice, in addition to purchasing a strip of lashes and having her apply them. Removal is free which was a plus and she was very thorough with the removal and the application of the false lashes. She was really nice as well. Cons: My right eye appeared to have more lashes. I didn't really mind but when I started losing lashes it became more apparent. I don't know if that's because I have more eyelashes on my right eye? I wish the amount was more even on both. My lashes only lasted two weeks. I know everyone's eyelash cycle differs but I was hoping I could push it to three weeks. Also, I don't like their policies on their trainees. I do understand that it was complimentary but when I scheduled an appt for a fill, they told me I had to remove what I had and start over with a new set. I would give this place half a star if I could. I have had great appointments and gotten the lashes I wanted.. but their booking system is all screwed up. If you need to cancel or reschedule no one ever answers the phone, and it's not even directly the shop it's a call center. I had an appointment one time but they moved the appointment without telling me, then called me 15 mins after my "new appointment" started telling me I was LATE, when my original appointment wasn't for another hour. I called them and they told me that I could come in and get a service for free but instead at that appointment I got a stupid lash gel that you put on when you get out of the shower (which doesn't even work.) I made another appointment, and they did the exact same thing as before. Then I moved to San Francisco and had a friend visiting from Ireland who wanted to go there because she liked the quality so we went and when I tried to make an appointment they were going to charge me $25 holding fee because I had NO SHOWS, when it was their fault for changing my appointments without notifying me. I will never be returning here. Definitely not worth $130-$150. I will go support someone I know rather than some randoms who can't run their books properly. There are a lot of good honest businesses out there and this is not one of them. I bought a package from them online, which was a terrible mistake because apparently I can't redeem it. This location is always closed. When I call them, nobody picks up at any hour. When I walk by to talk to them in person, the sign always says they're on lunch even at 4pm. I've never seen them open with anyone inside. I've emailed them three times and been ignored. I would consider booking so I could finally get my money's worth of lashes, but as if I would trust them to have any concept of hygiene or safety protocol during COVID right now. They don't even know how to answer a call or message. They're just holding my money because their business is failing and they rather steal from me than do actual work. Also I'm not sure I even want them touching my eyes - wouldn't you feel everything is so shady that it's a bit scary to let them touch you? So now I've paid for a service I can never redeem. I'm sure the lash service is fine (if you are even able to book it) but apparently the owner Joyce Poon is only interested in making money without an exchange of services. If you can't offer me anything for my money, refund me. It doesn't look like people here are happy with the service anyway. Stephanie did my lash extensions in December - this was the first for this type of service for me. My service was to be a full set with extra volume with the total cost of about $150.00. What I ended up with was long lashes but only on a small part of my eyelid. When I inquired about this odd look at the end of the hour and half on the table - Stephanie said the other lashes were too small to add extensions to - isn't this the purpose of going to a lash bar? Perhaps if she had done a consultation before starting - I could have opted out of spending $150 and looking like a bit of a freak for the better part of three weeks. The other piece of information that would have been good to have is that some people with sensitive skin may react to the forms they place on the face under the eyes. The following morning my face was bright red and swollen. I called to file a complaint and their solution was for me to come in again and try for more extensions. I don't think that was a reasonable solution and apparently consultations before the service begins is not part of their service. They will put the lashes on, give you a mirror and let you live with a ridiculous look and ask for your credit card. Latisse is a better solution for longer and lusher lashes. May take longer for results but won't make you look like a circus clown. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's close to home. I came in during their opening week for a free lash application. I am very familiar with lash extensions and get them done often for special events in the past 5 years. The process at Noir Lash Lounge took 2.5 hours for a full set and when I looked at the mirror it wasn't very "full." Also after 1 week, my lashes were already falling off. I wasn't too happy with my experience, the people there are very nice and it's a cute place. For the money and time, I won't be coming back here again. read more

I've been going to this location for a year now and loved Jenny's work. Anytime I had an appointment with anyone else, the style just wasn't how I liked it. But Jenny no longer works there. I went in for a full set today and the girl never even shared her name with me and did a horrible job. She did not remove my old lashes despite me booking a removal before my appointment and me asking her twice to remove them before putting new lashes in. On top of that, she did a terrible job. They look so thin and flimsy and lashes are wonky and hanging in different directions. Some aren't applied close enough to the base of lash, they're practically glued to the tip.The tiniest touch and they are all upside down. I get that prices are reasonable here but it's not worth the crappy service. read more

I really like the staff. My application experience was lovely and comfortable. This was not my first time with eyelashes so i am very familiar with the different styles and after care. With that being said, i gave it 1 star because 92% of my eyelashes were completely out by day 5. The glue was less irritating to my eyes compared to the glue used in the past, and initially i was very happy about that. I didn't realize that met a less secure hold. These lashes would have been alot more expensive than what i usually pay if i would have gotten the actual full look i wanted, so glad i stuck with the basic. My financial loss was reduced in the end. read more
