Kiki was really helpful during my consultation, especially because I do not get lashes done regularly and don't know exactly what I like yet. We decided to do hybrid, doll eye shape, with a maximum length of 11. I loved the end result and feel like they suited my eye shape. The retention was great -- I still had a lot of extensions after 4 weeks! I scheduled an extension removal appointment with Cici, which also went well. Usually mascara and lash curlers don't last longer than 5 mins for me. I was amazed at how much of a difference the lash lift provided me!! I absolutely love it every time. It lasts for a decent amount of time too, as long as you don't sleep on your lashes. For some reason, my GPS took me to San Carlos for my first appointment and I was suuuper confused. I called Thanh and explained what happened and we had to cancel the appointment. However, she quickly scheduled me for another appointment the next day and she didn't charge me a fee for the mix up even though it was totally my fault for not double checking my GPS. She is a really friendly and understanding person. The last time I went in, she offered to add lash conditioner to my lashes for free! She plays calming music that is easy to relax to during the lash lift, and also offers good conversations. Sometimes I get super freaked out about people touching my eyes - I'm a nightmare at the eye doctor lol. But Thanh always makes me feel comfortable. She's always a text away if you have any questions after your appointment. About the location: Plenty of street parking along with parking in the parking lot. Her room is inside of another building (the building isn't called Le Lashes), but it is easy to find. I was confused when I first went, so I sent her a text and she kindly met me outside.

Now that I am well enough to have the procedure done, I came to Joanne on the recommendation of a good friend. I didn't want to pick some random salon off the internet for something relatively permanent. At our first meeting for my free consultation, I was immediately impressed. Joanne was extremely thorough, taking measurements and photos. She then drew a detailed stencil over my brows of what she recommended, so I could decide if I liked it or wanted to make any changes. I scheduled the actual procedure for the following week. Again, super impressed. She took more measurements and confirmed what we had discussed during the consultation before she began. After another stencil for my approval and guidelines for her, she applied a numbing cream. The procedure was a piece of cake. I never felt any pain during or afterwards and my brows look amazing! I have a follow up appointment in a month so she can check my healing progress and see if I need any touch up. So glad I came to Joanne. I could not be happier. Just a heads up, she does not take credit cards.

It is so upsetting. I asked for natural and while a slightly lifted look was an upside, she shaved my eyebrow and then stenciled on me a brow that goes against my hair growth. How is that natural? I look horrible. All I wanted was natural little hairs. do not go here. It's so upsetting. My impression and direction was always that this would have been precise hair strokes, not a stenciled tattoo which is completely fake looking. Never was it explained to me that this was how it would be executed and by the time she started it was too late. There was no discussion or approval.

From the start, the hygiene was questionable. Her phone was sitting on the service bed right next to my head. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was for timing, but it already felt unsanitary. Once the lash solution was on, I had my eyes closed for about 10 minutes. During that entire time, I could hear her behind me scrolling through her phone. The moment the timer was up, she went straight to touching my eye area. No gloves. No sanitizing. I have no idea if the phone was clean, but her hands definitely weren't. The results were just as disappointing. The lashes near the inner corners were completely untouched and still pointing downward. I pointed it out immediately, and she brushed it off as "normal". Then I looked at the side profile and saw the curl wasn't a curl at all. It was basically a sharp 90 degree bend. Nothing like the photos on Yelp that convinced me to book in the first place. What really bothered me wasn't the hundred bucks. It was realizing I walked in with perfectly normal lashes and walked out with a problem I didn't have before, all because I paid someone to make them worse.

After a ton of…read moreresearch on yelp and through various sites, I decided on Halee based on reviews and prompt availability. Now I finally learned what a real facial is. Let's break this down by stars. Star #1: Scheduling: prompt, clear and concise communication. Was super easy scheduling an appointment. Star #2: Atmosphere. Quaint, light, relaxing and inviting. It's a medium sized room within a facility and everything was cute, sassy, organized, and super clean. Minimalistic and concise equipment that all looked modern and updated. Bed was extremely comfortable, heated, and there was a proper place to put your things. Sudden extreme comfort coming here. Naps are a risk factor. Star #3: flexibility. I didn't know exactly what I needed, but I was able to schedule 3 services: facial (of some kind. I was originally thinking microdermabrasion) lash lift, and teeth whitening (wasn't sure if I needed it). There was no charge in changing the services I ended up receiving. Star #4: knowledgable. Halee impressed me as soon as I arrived. She told me what to expect and when I admit I was naive to facials, skin care etc. she told me she would take a look at my skin and let me know what she thought. The way she explained everything made me realize the magnitude of how much there is to know about products, skin, reactions, results and more. I have never in my life been more fascinated about skin care and the depth of the cosmetology world. It's amazing. Star #5: results. Halee advised me not to do the microdermabrasion facial because my thin skin would react negatively and because my concerns of hyperpigmentation were mild. Instead she gave me a cleansing facial and in the end... my face looked waaaaay more even toned, clear, bright and vibrant. I felt I looked 5 years younger afterwards and my face felt so hydrated and healthy the remainder of the day. Even days later it feels great and I've received many compliments already. In general, people often tell me I look 10 years younger than I am, but now I really feel like I do which has been such a positive lift to my confidence. I literally did not know a facial could do that. Speaking of lifts, the lash lift is something I will 100% continue to do. Instantly larger more open and youthful eyes. I look forward to returning for my next one in a couple of months. As for the teeth whitening, Halee didn't recommend it. She said my teeth are fairly white from the products I use at home already so results from the treatments would probably be minimal. Which leads to the final star.. Star #6: Genuineness. I wish I could give a 6 star rating because Halee truly deserves it. She absolutely wants the best for her clients and will go above and beyond to care for them, advise them, and get to know them. I was (and still am) very naive to skin care, however Halee has helped me so much by pointing me to products (not upselling but actually making recommendations for my type of skin) and I am so appreciative to have an expert in skincare I can turn to. So so so grateful I met her and I look forward to working with her again and again. Thank you Halee!!!
