I've been a client of May's for a while, starting at her SF location, and today was the first time I visited her Burlingame location. Since my move to the peninsula, this location made a lot more sense for me, and I was so excited to see that she had expanded out here. This location is larger, but equally beautiful and thoughtful in decoration. She has upstaffed and also invested in more comfy pillows, headrests, and blankets for her clients during their sessions. Everything made me super excited about my decision to invest more time and money into self care! I've been getting my lashes done by May for a couple years now and realized I never wrote a review! She is amazing and detail oriented. I have sensitive eyes so she uses sensitive glue for me and the lashes stay on for 3-4 weeks! It's also nice that you can make appointments through text. If you're Asian, especially with monolids, do not come here. They don't know how to apply extensions to suit your eye shape, and all their examples are of only double eyelid clients. I asked for a wispy hybrid set and the first thing I noticed was how rushed my lash tech was for me to leave right after she finished. I wasn't handed a mirror or asked if I was satisfied with my service. After I left for a while, I was trying to convince myself to love the lashes but I hated them. The eyelashes were extremely thick, some strands pointing sideways, and weighing my eyelids down. I reached back out to Lash M to get redone and was told that I chose the wrong design for my eyes, which is insane because shouldn't lash techs know how to adjust the style for each person's unique eye shape? Even after getting them redone, I wasn't fully satisfied because they looked nothing like the example I showed the second time, I gave up and accepted it. All my close friends and family were shocked at how bad they looked even after getting them fixed & how expensive it was However, I wouldn't have written this review if they actually stayed. This isn't my first time getting extensions, but the fall out for my lashes were INSANE. They didnt touch any water or cleanser - which is instructed for aftercare. By day 4, so much of it was gone. I paid $219 after tip for sparse lashes when falsies would've looked better. I also disputed this with my bank but because of their non-refundable policy, I'm left with no other option but to warn others. If you like heavy, thick, insanely dramatic lashes that fall out quickly then I'd recommend this salon :) read more

I went in for a lash lift and tint. The aesthetician was friendly and nice. Her service was decent too. The establishment itself is clean and what one would call "Instagram-able." After my service, I was given an aftercare kit which included two spoolie brushes, their business card, and a card with aftercare instructions. I probably won't go there again for a lash lift because it's not as dark as I was expecting it to be. Also, after the procedure, I noticed some of the lashes on my left eye were skewed. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back. But if I do go back some time in the future, I'd probably go for extensions because I noticed they have natural looking versions. read more

Since moving to the Peninsula, I've been looking for a good lash tech and I stumbled across Lash M when I was in desperate need of a lash lift after an over-permed incident that left my lashes super messed up. I called on a Friday and was able to sneak into an early morning session on Saturday, which I guess is really hard because they usually are very booked on the weekends. Lina was my lash tech and was absolutely incredible. She was patient and understanding after I told her what happened during my previous lift, she spent extra time to make sure we were able to reverse the previous damages done to my lashes. We got my lashes as straight as possible and they looked absolutely great. The studio itself is adorable with lots of very aesthetically pleasing photo-op areas, private working stations and a very clean overall environment. They offer complimentary coffee and drinks while you wait and when you check out, they give you a free little care kit with spoolies and instructions on how to care for your lashes. Prices are fair for lashes, they offer 15% off your first visit and a loyalty card that gives you 10% off after 5 services. I paid for a keratin lash lift ($109) and tint ($20). read more

I've been going to the Lash M in S.F. for over 2 years to get hybrid eyelash extensions. I have been very happy with the results. They offer other services as well and I needed to get my eyebrows done. They only provide this service in their Burlingame address. I was glad they have parking in the back and the location was easy to find. The place was very clean and large compared to the S.F. location. I had my eyelashes refilled and my eyebrows done. They did a fantastic job and I love how my eyebrows turned out. I had microblading with shading. May was very patient and detailed to get my eyebrows the right shape. It's not expensive, I had ombré done on my eyebrows before and it cost more than Lash M. I highly recommend going to get any services from Lash M at either location. read more

I've had several lash extension fills now and have been so happy w the service and results. I've been raving to everyone I know to come here! The place is spotless and super cute. Exterior looks like a little house. Interior is full of warm colors and of course they have an insta turf wall for those of us who enjoy selfies. They are equipped with several rooms and are well staffed. I've never had an issue booking the slot I want. Service is great. I can tell that the staff cares a lot about the quality of the work because they never have issues with me wanting to try different styles of extensions. They offer a stamp coupon and keep track of my number of visits for me, even replaced my original coupon when I lost it. The extensions take a little over an hour maybe an hour 15-ish . Just had my first appointment with Lash M today and had a great experience. I used to have my lashes done every 3-4 weeks for the past 3 years. Since I moved here to the Bay Area, I stopped getting them done as consistently; I initially found a place I liked in San Mateo, but the lash technician was barely available and could only get in with her every 2 mos. I finally decided to do more research and found this place - they are very nice and show all the styles of lash extensions and possibilities (even though I already knew what I wanted down to the type of lash curl and diameter lol) but they're boutique is almost like going to a nail salon and looking though the nail albums and picking gel, acrylic, or doing powder, etc. Pretty cool! Anyway they greeted me at the door, signed some forms, offered refreshments, met with the lash technician who is all about keeping you comfortable the entire time, they also work fast and efficiently but did a beautiful job with my classic full set :) thanks Regina and Allison! First off I would like to state that my technician was great as far as her application. She applied it just as I asked and showed (with picture). They take Apple Pay and other form of payments. The reason I would not go back is this was my first time and after my appointment asked for a two week follow up. Which is my norm. So, when I booked it she stated "June 10", which was on a Monday. I arrived 10 minutes early to be welcomed by a shut door. Ok, I was really but, five minutes after 10 I was getting worried so I called the number posted at their front door. I got a v.m. asking to text a different number. I received what seemed to be an AI. I texted again explaining my situation and got another text. At this point I'm angry as it was already past 10. Finally, I got a call back from an actually person telling me my appointment is on JULY 10 as they are usually closed on Mondays!!!!! What the actual...just WHAT?!?!? This was a grave error on their part. Since I was coming from Menlo Park to travel to Burlingame. How could the person mistake a whole month for TWO WEEKS?????? Unfortunately, this was enough for me to not come back. Even with their offer of a discount on my "next visit". Unfriendly, I had an out of town event I was going to that weekend and needed to look snatched. Instead I had to find another spot to do it. Again this is not a reflection of my technicians work but their scheduling and communication. read more

I would give this place a 6 star if I could. I've been coming here for the past 3months and done my lashes every 3-4weeks. It's a bit pricey however, they last so long, and look so good. My recent lashes started to fall out a bit sooner since I went with a mode volume. I called May and she asked me to come back in 6 days after my appointment to do a filling. She didn't charge a thing since it wasn't to my satisfactory. She took her time and filled them in and they look so good! I can't imagine going to another place and trusting anyone better. This is my second time here and I love it! The first time, I received a lash lift and it was by far my favorite lash lift I've ever gotten. I usually get them done in San Francisco but I wanted to try somewhere closer and stumbled on this place! Usually lash lifts will last around 2-3 weeks but the one I got from here lasted over a month! I was really shocked and will come back for the lash lift in the future. I went in for a lashlift and my lashes were so tightly curled that they were touching my eyelids for weeks which drove me nuts. When they finally started to wear off they became frizzy on the ends in a zigzag pattern with only half curled and half straight and now after about 2 months I have lost most of my eyelashes. It's quite honestly a worst case scenario. Since I had the treatment I haven't been able to put on mascara because of how ridiculous they look and now I have so few lashes there isn't enough to even apply it. I've been to the San Francisco location and this location and my favorite between the two is for sure the Burlingame location. They have free parking just for LashM customers and the building itself is just a lot bigger. The have water and drinks available and the best part is their hello kitty toilet paper in their bathroom.
