This place is still low rent. I thought I would go back and try to get a pedicure and see if it improved. Was I wrong! The owner asked I come back in a 1/2 hour which was not an issue. I said no problem. Before I left I thought I would just look at the nail polish. She told me to leave because I need to wash my hands first. Since I was coming back I could do it than. While she was saying that she was putting dirty money in her register than she rubbed her nose and went back to doing a lady nails. I pointed it out (which of course she did not appreciate it) and than I left. Not going back there again. read more

My nail technician was competent. She did a good job and satisfied my requests. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the cost. I haven't had my nails done professionally for a few years but the cost is just prohibitive. I don't know if the prices here are the norm or they are just charging too much! read more

Be very careful when you buy a gift certificate from here. They don't give you very long to use it. There are certain circumstances where people can't use them right away. So basically they just steal your money. Better off to just to give the person the money, and tell them to go get one or just stay away from this place all together. Very bad business. I would've spent way more than what the gift certificate was for but they have lost all business in the future and any referrals. The person paid the money for it and the gift certificate is in hand and they won't let you use it. It shouldn't matter about an expiration date. The cash that was given to them never did expire. Poor management.. my daughter and I came in to get a mani/pedi. Our pedicure was nice but our manicure was definitely subpar and unfinished. The polish was so diluted that you could see right through it with three coats. What seemed to be the owner took over after she berated me for complaining about the polish. I started to record the conversation because there was no need for such attitude. She announced to her customers that they needed to be a witness to the conversation. Of course her regulars will be her witness but I only spoke calmly to her and she got loud with me and my nine year old daughter. She tried to redo the botched job and admit that the polish was diluted but said she didn't have a new polish in yellow to redo our nails (based on the design we had requested- - beauty and the beast design). I expressed that the polish was still able to be seen through and she asked her regulars, by name, to inspect our nails (obviously not accredited professionals...) At this point, I asked her if she wanted me to consult with the nail salon across the street and she said no. Highly inappropriate and unprofessional. We felt completely targeted just by speaking our peace. I stayed calm, monotone and orderly and she was loud and attention seeking. Stay far away from this place unless you want the staff and regulars to verbally attack you! read more

Was in town visiting. Needed a pedicure. Usually I love a pedicure but it wasn't hitting at this place. Pedicures are relaxing with a foot massage with oil or lotion. That didn't happen. She used the lotion with the scrub so it was digging in my skin. Washed it off and ready for polish. The polish job could have been a lot better. And that was the end. I had to lotion my legs myself. I asked her if she doesn't put lotion and she said she already did. All in all I should have given myself a pedicure and saved money. Definitely not worth it! read more

My daughter and I went here to get her nails done for homecoming. Upon arrival I said I wanted 2 gel pedicures, 1 gel manicure, and one gel full set, not acrylic. They were busy and separated my daughter and I, which was understandable considering it's homecoming. It was my daughter's first time having a full set done in a salon and they did acrylics even though I requested gel. They did not push back her cuticles, trim cuticles or dead skin, or anything else besides buffing her natural nails before applying the nails. My daughter picked a transparent opalescent color and the tech said it wasn't opaque enough and applied white polish under her chosen color. The white color was patchy and the tech said it was hard to work with. My daughter wanted them to be somewhat transparent and is why she chose the original color. Her nails are bumpy, they're not all the same shape, some were glued on crooked, and one nail doesn't have acrylic/polish applied to the edge of her nails. The tech commented several times on the fact that she bites her nails not even considering that there may be an underlying reason as to why she does so. My manicure consisted of nail buff/shape, applying the gel polish, and that's it. No cuticle trimming, did not push back my cuticles, no massage, nothing. My polish still looks uneven and splotchy like the color has been diluted down even though the tech applied three coats of the color. The shaping looks good, but definitely disappointed in the opacity of the color. My manicure was close to $50 and it was basically just application of gel polish. Unfortunately, our pedicures were really lacking. They did trim cuticles for our pedis, but there was barely any scrubbing/callus removal done. My heels still had dry skin that I was able to scrub off myself with a pumice stone at home. There was barely a massage with the lightest pressure I've ever received during a pedi. My daughter said the same thing for her. It was her first pedicure and she hadn't trimmed her nails for a bit so that they could trim and shape appropriately. The tech commented how much cleaner and prettier her feet looked. Just an odd comment. The tech who did her pedi did the nail polish she requested without the white base and the color was cute and just what she wanted, but do not match her finger nails. We both had our eyebrows waxed and they came out as expected with no complaints. I paid over $200, not including tip, and unfortunately am not impressed with any of the services we received. We won't be returning even though we had planned to make this a semi-monthly trip. read more

Went to Golden Nail with my twin grandaughters for 6th birthday.The shop was pretty empty but they would not give manicures n pedicures to my girls. I have gone there in the past, but never again. I ventured away from my normal place and regret it! I got a fill in and my nails are hideous. They look like lumpy bubbles. The lady who did my nails got an attitude with me because I couldn't find the gel polish in the color I wanted. She didn't paint the ends of my nails so the polish is already chipping. I had them done this past weekend. Also, she left some hot pink polish on the sides from my previous color. Big waste of $32! read more
