So, I went to Noire for the first time yesterday.... It was a pretty big disappointment. First of all, Charlie was the one doing my pedicure...he spent nearly the entire time trying to sell me gel polish and paraffin dip. I said multiple times that I didn't want it. Then he complained about how short my nails were. I like to keep my nails short, and I usually hear about it from nail techs, but he was actually complaining about it. He did a terrible job painting my nails, and then told me my nails were awful! The hostess came and redid my toe nails, and they looked better, but definitely not worth the $42 I paid for the pineapple coconut pedicure. Wasn't even relaxing because the guys was trying to sell me stuff the whole time. Then when I got my gel manicure, Ann did my nails. At first, it was going fine. And, she didn't cut me which was great. My cuticles are very thin and my skin tears easily, which I warned her of. She was careful... but she barely touched my cuticles. They still look awful and dry. She didn't cut my fingers because she barely touched them. And, she didn't apply the polish well - it dried all lumpy and uneven. Again, definitely not worth the $37! I wanted to like this place, but I was so disappointed. I won't be back. :/ Gonna have to go someplace else today to get my nails redone for vacation.... read more

Waited for pedi to start about 30 mins after they sat me in the uncomfortable chair. I was asked multiple times about gel polish. They push the upcharge on gel polish. I repeated "NO gel" on my toes. The lady who did my pedi wasn't taking her time. Rushed through the entire process after I didn't agree to the up sale to gel or a fancy pedi with all the bells and whistles. This is my favorite spot in Chattanooga and always my first choice however not every nail tech is as amazing as certain others. They're always friendly and fun the owner is professional and sees that all clients are being taken care of properly. Steven is my favorite nail tech. Lee and Denise are also great. Charlie gives the best pedicures in town. Last time I went however I took first available and although my ombré tips were beautiful one started lifting within 5 days. Quite possibly my worst experience at a nail salon. I went with my sister and she had a fantastic time. We got the same manicure, the pineapple coconut. There was not even a comparison between the two. My nail tech rushed through the entire "process". He did a "massage" which was basically just slathering sugar scrub on my arms. He didn't even wipe it off. I told him I wanted to keep my nails long, and he clipped them extremely short. He didn't ask what shape I wanted and did what he wanted. Then he sloppily painted my nails. When I voiced my concerns to the manager, she was not concerned. She didn't even apologize, then she just took $5 off. Really disappointed I even have to leave a review. This is my go to place for acrylic nails. However I went today for a removal and a full set of acrylics. I was charged $95 for this set of nails that is just not worth it. I'm not 100% sure but I think the nail tech who did them is "Thi". I usually get them done by John and I've never had any complaints. Nail removal is usually between $10-15 and I have never paid more than $75 here. I paid $75 one time for a french tip gel set with a design so this is just way over charged. I asked why it was $95 and didn't get a clear answer but I'm assuming it because he had to remove my acrylics. He said that he was giving me a deal because this set would be $115-$120 at other places. The color on my nails isn't gel or regular paint it is colored acrylic powder but not a dip set so I really don't know how this is $95. Application was sloppy and thick as well definitely not worth it. Love this place otherwise but I was dissatisfied today. Forgot to mention I didn't like the length of the first clear tips he applied so i asked if we could redo them he told me it was too late even though we didn't even start with acrylic yet. He asked me if I wanted to anyway and I said yes. He then ripped off the clear tips on my nails which was painful and then after applying the new clear tips he told me to make sure I liked the length because he would not redo them. read more

We had four people in for mani/pedis for a birthday gift. Even after two hours ... my toes were not dry and messed up when putting sandals on. My "gel" French tip manicure chipped by 9:30, a mere three hours later making dinner. Let alone - the tips are not done appropriately. My husband and I came here to get pedicures and my stepdaughter got a pedicure and polish change. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and made sure to do everything they could to help us. They did a wonderful job on my stepdaughters nails for Christmas, and my husband enjoyed a relaxing treatment. We really appreciated their wonderful customer service and tranquil environment. I've gone here a few times, each time has been ok, not great, but I kept giving them more chances. But after my last visit I won't be returning. During my manicure, the nail tech made my finger bleed while trimming my cuticles - it took about 10 minutes to get it to stop bleeding and later in the day I had to put a bandaid on it because it began bleeding again. She apologized repeatedly, and I said it was ok, but then she also made my thumb bleed and began apologizing again. She painted over the blood on one finger, so on the edge of the nail you could see the blood but couldn't scrape it off because of the top coat. When I went to pay I pointed out my injuries to the cashier and rather than not charging me, they only gave me a $5 discount. I paid and left rather than arguing, but like I mentioned earlier I will not be returning. read more

Probably the worst nail experience I've had in awhile. I have short nails so I wanted tips to lengthen my nails then dip power. An hour and 15 minutes later, I have horribly short, uneven nails with polish all over my fingers. The tech was very heavy handed and harsh when it came to filing and twisting my knuckles. After all is said and done they wanted to charge me $60. $10 for shaping up my cuticles (which still look bad) Never going back. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for about two years. I have had some really great experiences there, but the past few visits have pushed me out the door. You can forget getting the nail length you want. Today, I asked a friend of mine to join me. Tried to charge her an arm and a leg for an oval shape plus cutting her cuticles. I asked the lady if I could have my nails short- like short enough to match a nail that was pretty short from me peeling the dip powder off (oops..yes I know it's a no no). She responded no we will just cut a little, I said that's fine as long as they all match. Right hand looks great, left hand is WAY longer than the right. Overall, my nails look fine. So I went to Noire The Nail Bar twice now. The first time the gel polish began to chip in only a few days, but I went back 12/7 and got yet another gel polish hoping that if I used a different person it would be better. I've added photos of the results. I private messaged them and was told they do not give refunds but would fix them. Ok, this is their second strike! I do not believe anyone there would do a good job or their products are cheap or bad/old. So after private messaging I stopped in and no matter what I said the manager would not budge. I will speak to the owner today or allow my husband to. I told the manager I would give them a review so they BLOCKED me on FB!!!!! The place is always crowded I think bc of their location (not the reviews clearly) and they are ALWAYS in a rush to get you out. Absolutely will not be back. Also that $50 sns manicure I got? I can with another lady and we sat down at the same time but for some reason I had to wait for the man doing her nails to finish so he could start mine. While I waited all the people coming in after me were seated and had their nails done. After I finally got done with my nails the lady told me it would be $10 more than stated online. I did not have a good experience. I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to write this one. I had a male and he was dismissive of the fact that my cuticles were still completely showing after my pedicure. He did not use any scrubs on my 50 dollar pedicure. I should have requested someone else for my gel manicure because it was one of the worst ones I have ever gotten and he did not give me a hand massage and pretended he did not understand me after we spoke back and forth for most of the appointment. Not a fan. Came in & clearly stated that I wanted a manicure & pedicure. I was given a glass of wine which was nice & then handed a paper to look at & pick which options I wanted. I decided on the classic manicure & the SNS powder manicure. Well....the pedicure was ok. They have the massage chairs but no additional leg massage included with the basic option. Now onto the "manicure"....Apparently, the SNS dip powder option for $36 does not include the manicure & the gentleman seemed bothered that I even asked about it. He did end up clipping a few cuticles, putting on some cuticle oil & rubbing some lotion on my hands for an additional $10. Oh & as far as the powder goes...since he didn't push back my cuticles there is no polish on the nail beds so it looks like I already need a fill in.
