Lived here a year before I found this oddly located place, on the wrong side of 30 near the tracks. I ordered the same thing I always get when trying a new Thai place-- yellow curry with chicken and a Thai iced tea. I asked for the max heat. The curry arrived in a bowl with the rice on the side, no dinner plate. I ordered a second portion of rice and enjoyed. About 1/2 way through the meal, I got an overpowering taste of bouillon. I could not enjoy the meal after that. Disappointed. I live here though and will come back though. I am hoping it was a unique problem, I want to enjoy it. The tea was typical, perhaps a bit long on the cream, the curry was not overloaded with potatoes or onions and that's good. Small place, small town. Prices were about what I expected, same for the ambience. Service was fine. read more

I've lived near St Helens for 10 years and this is the first time I tried Noi's Thai. It's definitely the best That I've had in the area and definitely plan to go back. In order to make good pad thai, you need searing hot heat which is not possible with a regular stove top. I use a gas butane cook top outside. I do not know what kind of cook top this restaurant has, but it is not hot enough to make good pad thai. The pad thai we got was sticky and gooey. When they had the food truck, the pad thai was not cooked enough, it was al dente which is a no no. I thought it was probably because the food truck did not have a high enough heat top but maybe this is just the way these people cook. The previous restaurant (Kuy's) was terrible and so glad it went out of business. I often see a lot of cars in front of this restaurant so there must be some people who like the food. But for an Asian, this food is terrible. We won't be going again. read more

I try and visit Noi's Thai about once a week for the Pad Prik Khing. The food is very good and almost as spicy as I like my Thai food :) The staff is friendly and the prices are good. I would recommend Noi's. Only downside is Sunday closure, wish I could get Thai any day of the week. Thanks. read more

We recently moved to Saint Helens and are delighted this place exists! Great food at a good price. I can't speak to the service because we only ever get take out Thai food. I can say the pad Thai is on par with just about anywhere in Portland, the salad rolls are fresh and tasty, the peanut sauce is great. If you're looking for a local Thai place, this is it! read more

Oh how this place has fallen since they moved from that beautiful trailer to take over the old Kuy's place. Prices go way up, which I understand, but quality goes way down. Will never understand why restaurants do that. Recently I ordered the chicken pumpkin curry and salad rolls with chicken. Wow, what a disappointment. The chicken pumpkin curry was in the same container as usual but barely half full, barely any pumpkin and chicken. The rice was good lol. The chicken salad rolls were very small and when I opened it up had a VERY, and I mean VERY THIN piece of chicken on top and 99% lettuce. Even the peanut sauce was less than half filled. Very disappointed and I will not come back and that's a shame because I absolutely loved the trailer. read more

So back when they ran things out of the truck, it was either spice or no-spice...they refused to offer anything else. But if I asked really nicely and I spoke to just the right person, I was able to get them to do a very mild spice. Anyhow, this is our first time visiting the new restaurant version...and holy crap what a let down that was. Even though I realize they just opened after taking over the building, it looked very unfinished. We were seated promptly upon arrival and provided waters, so that was a nice start. The gal offering water was frequent, though she didn't always top off the glass...she'd just pour a little bit in it, weird. The area that we were seated in had a broken window, nice touch. Lol. Looking over the menu they listed at the bottom 4 variants of spice, which I thought was nice because just going with the 'hot or not' was pretty crummy. They also stated on the menu that they are not responsible for too hot of a dish. Anyhow so I ordered a 'mild' pad thai, my husband ordered a 'medium' pad thai and my cousin a 'medium' curry, we also ordered chicken fresh rolls and coconut shrimp. About 15 minutes after ordering we are told that there are only tofu fresh rolls (mind you it's about 530 on a Friday night, they had to know people would be going out to eat). Not a biggie, but pretty dumb none the less. That coconut shrimp appetizer? It took about 40 minutes to received. The main meal took roughly an hour to arrive. We were starving by this point. I prepped up my pad thai with lime, peanuts and the sprouts, mixing it all together...took a big ole bite only to have my mouth ignited!! Wondering if they somehow goofed up the order, my husband took a bite to compare to his and he stated it was equally as hot. My cousin gave it a try, also said it was hot if not hotter than hers...mind you I ordered a MILD spice. When the waitress came back around I mentioned that it was so hot I couldn't even eat it. I honestly had only 1 bite and my mouth was on fire for a good 10 minutes. Her response to me was there was no pepper next to the menu item and I should have ordered no spice. I explained that mild means a very light spice and this was equally as hot as the medium dishes. She just kept pointing to the menu saying it wasn't a spicy dish so I should have not ordered spice. Ummm, well maybe you all need to either 1) Explain to your customers that even mild is f****** hot or 2) Learn how to do varying levels of spice, to order. I have ordered mild spice and TONS of Thai restaurants over the years, NEVER have I had a dish this hot. By this point my frustrations were becoming very apparent. I said it was complete nonsense that I not only just waited an hour for food, but I waited an hour for food that was far beyond mild & I couldn't eat. She went back to the kitchen and had them make me a new dish with no spice...perhaps they spit in it, I don't know. But at that point I was so hungry I didn't rightfully care. If you are one of those people who just absolutely loves the torture of excessive heat in their meals, this place is probably going to be really good. I would recommend calling your order in though because the dine-in experience was crap. Note to the restaurant: If you can't accommodate the varying levels of heat, then don't offer 4 ranges on your damn menu. read more

This is the best little restaurant in town! They have by far the most amazing pot stickers I've had since Mandarin Cove shut down in Portland. Superior customer service, spotless dining & of course the most fresh & delicious Thai Food around. They provide fast & friendly service even during their busiest lunch rushes. Accommodates those who prefer a gluten free meal. To go orders are always spot on. My wife and I loved No's when they were located on the highway in a small food trailer. However since their move to a restaurant setting the food has been dismal and the service even worse. During our first restaurant visit we left after waiting 1 1/2 hours for our meal. We gave them a second try and this one was on me. Again the meal took an hour to get to the table....and we were the only ones there. I had them box the food and we left. Food quality was poor. Sadly we won't be back. read more
