    Panang curry.

Best Thai food in Columbia county BY A LONG SHOT. There is new owners and they for sure tightened up the ship. My wife and I ate here a few times before new ownership and it wasn't bad but was not memorable either. Upon entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted with a warm smile by the new owners. Promptly seated at a great table that was actually clean and wiped off (I say this because so many restaurants fail to wipe the table between custies and next thing you know your forearms are sticky. Not here. The food? This time I'm absolutely blown away by how good it is. The Panang curry is absolutely bananas good. It's thick. Not bland. Perfect amount of curry flavor. Not too spicy. You can taste the coconut milk, spices, chicken and vegetables all separate from each other. The pad Thai was absolutely perfect as well. Noodles were cooked perfect. Lots of chicken. It was just damn good. Even the ice water tasted good. I feel refreshed. I feel good. I'm stoked. I'm ready for the rest of my day. New owners care. It shows in the service and food. That is all.

Came here on a quiet Tuesday evening! Eagles was rocking on the overhead speakers! Sounded like local radio! Having a little old country tunes may have helped with the Thai ambience! No biggie though! Although the sign wait to be seated a kind looking lady came and said sit wherever you want! So that worked. Ordered a glass of ice Thai Tea, which arrived at th spicy Pad Kee Mao(drunkard's noodles) looked like it took almost 15 mins to arrive! But the wait was worth every minute. Absolutely delish!! If I lived in this part of the world, I would make this a regular place to satisfy my hankering for spicy food! Highly recommended!!

I went in this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It is a pan-southeast Asian place (predominantly Laos, Thai, Vietnamese food) with some Americanized Chinese dishes as well. The menu reflects these countries, with an American flavor down to the spice level. If you truly want it spicy, you have to make it clear you don't want it Scappoose Oregon spicy. I don't blame them at all for that since a lot of people would complain if it was authentically spicy. I ordered the salad rolls to start, which don't come with any protein in them. Different than I'm used to, but the roll was tight and the peanut sauce was good (it wasn't sickeningly sweet like a lot of places make). My main dish was the Pad Kee Mao, spice level 4. It was good. It had a bit of heat and I asked for the hot chili oil to adjust it to my taste. The ingredients tasted fresh and the basil was perfect. A lot of food for an affordable price. I like this place, but you do have to ask to make sure you arnt getting an Americanized version of a dish (the pho, for example, does not come with tripe or tendon ...which makes me sad) and it was odd to be given a fortune cookie after a very Thai style meal. But I'd gladly come back. They do a great job and the staff are friendly :)

Here's the whole menu. This place is great! Service is fantastic! Sticky rice and peanut sauce are amazing! Tom yum soup is out of this world delicious!

Looks and taste under cooked might of been what got us sick ...

Try the Lao Nam. It's simple but so tasty. I'd give this restaurant three thumbs up if I could.

I definitely need to try this place! It was suggested by my RN and that I should try the Coconut Lime Ricky Cocktail!

He always treats his customers like they are the ONLY ones in the restaurant, even when the place is crowded...which is a lot more often these days! We met his new helper, Jacob, who is personable & engaging. He seemed genuinely happy to be there! Now for the food! Our favorites have always been New York Steak Yakisoba (w/Chicken or Shrimp) Spam Pineapple Fried Rice (AMAZING!) It has taken us a long time to try anything else because these are SO good! But last night we felt adventurous & ordered Pasta Arrabbiata & Pasta Alla Vodka. Now we have 2 more dishes to add to "Our Regulars"! We topped our evening off with an amazing dessert, Pistachio Ricotta Cake. What a delightful combination of flavors!

The worst part about this place is deciding what to have. I had chicken skewers with fried rice and my girlfriend had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Both were great. Their portions are generous, we both have enough for lunch tomorrow. Their prices are very good. Especially for the portions and quality. They make their sauces in house and you can tell. I believe it was the owner who served us. He is supper friendly and helpful without being pushy. Because it was my birthday he played Happy Birthday in the background while he sang. He had even made sure to ask my name so he could use it in the song!! He did this after bringing a deep fried Twinkie with ice cream and whipped cream. We will definitely go back!!

The the combination of smoky, tender barbecue with the creamy Thai curry was so good. The burnt ends brought that deep, savory, slightly charred flavor, while the curry gave it a completely different dimension. The flavors worked well. I just wished the burnt ends were more fatty. We also tried a pork belly dish, which was another highlight. The pork was rich and flavorful, and I loved the crispy fried egg, green beans, cucumber, and fish sauce with it. Drinks: I cannot handle day drinking anymore, but I couldn't resist... - Acid test: bourbon based - Separation anxiety: rum based, tiki; I was hesitant about the lychee (not a fan), but it was very well balanced. This was my preferred cocktail Food: family style - Sweet and sour chicken: even the small was a big portion. Flavor was great on this, and it had a crisp, crunchy batter - Wok fried yu choy: great wok char - Smoked pork krapao: crispy pork belly pieces, a fried poached egg (literally deep fried). Break up the yolk to dip with the pork. The cucumbers and green beans are a nice clean accompaniment; spicy fish sauce was great - White curry with brisket burnt ends: I've never had a white curry, but the white curry and cauliflower was a great match for the super rich brisket pieces. I love the interesting combination! Note: pretty much everything has some spice to it, so for kids, the jasmine rice and yu choy are the main items, though my older daughter did ok with the fried chicken and brisket! Music was great, and all of the food flavors were bold. Though flavor combinations were unique, everything was cohesive. They were packed on a Wednesday for lunch, so I'm glad we got here before noon to snag a table. I wish the Bay Area had more interesting fusion done right like this (I feel like fusion is a bad word in the food world...)
