Wow. This unassuming place does things right. I was expecting decent food but it went way beyond. Also the service was very nice. They sell pho even though it's not on the menu but online it says they have it. So my daughter ordered soemthing else. First time in a long time giving Mali Thai a try and we are so glad. Prices were reasonable with most appetizers $10 or less. Our full meal with two entrees and two appetizers was $55. Quite a great price for Thai and conveniently located in Ace parking area in Woodland. Shrimp was perfectly cooked, breading wasn't too heavy on coconut shrimp, excellent flavor on our entrees, potstickers with crispy how we love them. I was warmly greeted with smiles when I first walked in, my takeout order was taken with a smile, and I was given my order with a smile. It has been maybe 5 years since I last enjoyed food from here. It looks like some renovating had taken place--the interior updated and very clean, simply and tastefully decorated. I used to enjoy their green curry, but panang curry have since been my "thing" . . . and that's what I ordered (with chicken), along with sticky rice and pad see ew. As what I'd come to expect from Mali Thai, it was all so flavorful. The pad see ew (with tofu) was perfect and so tasty. The panang curry was bursting with traditional flavors of galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, peanuts, shrimp paste, other spices . . . and pineapple! Living in Hawaii that boasts countless Thai eateries, and having grown up eating pineapples, pineapple in panang curry was something new for me. However, I found it to be a creative and very nice addition to the savory and slightly sweet flavor profile of panang curry. Oh! And I also ordered their Thai iced tea that was obviously NOT from a can and didn't taste like it was loaded with sugar. Yummy! Tried this place the other day and we were very happily surprised. The yellow curry was greatly developed with rich flavors and was a nice surprise to have sweet potato in it rather than regular. The cashew chicken did not disappoint. The flavor profiles were on point and kept your tastebuds very happy on the flavortown express. My girlfriend and i just ate here on our first date! The restaurant was bright & clean. It had an open feel to it, with both table & booths to choose from. The waitress was kind & friendly. She never wrote a thing down we ordered and the order was spot on, I don't think we waited 10 minutes for the order. The ingredients from noodles to seasonings were amazing, so the cook staff were amazing as well. The portions vs price were just ok, that could be better. We had lunch at Mali Thai Cafe earlier this week with family members and it was a pleasant experience. This was our first visit and we chose it based on Yelp ratings. The food was good, but not great. The restaurant serves both the food and drinks in metal dishes which was a first for us. Mali Thai Cafe is located in a strip mall so there was ample parking but not much for ambiance inside the cafe. Three of us ordered curries and the other a stir fry dish. They were all seasoned to order but of the curries were so hot that it took a while for them to cool down enough to eat. I would certainly go back to try other items on their menu. read more

So we normally love this restaurant, it's a chill place to have dinner or a light snack, The service is usually good, but we were slightly disappointed with our last visit, we ordered 4* for spice, and that's usually perfect, but someone in the kitchen that night must have been in a mood of sorts and aggressively adding heat.... It was like a mean prank... and we like heat... I usually order anywhere between 3-7*'s we also cook Thai, spicy, and this was too hot my husband who actually had a stomach ache afterwards.. I usually really enjoy this restaurant... but this past visit.... We will probably find another Thai restaurant for a while. read more

New owners and they have really stepped it up! We ordered Spring Rolls and Fresh Rolls both were delicious, the peanut sauce was very flavorful. We also ordered Thom Ka soup and it was so good one with shrimp and one with tofu. Both had unique flavors and the serving was huge enough for three people. The yellow curry with shrimp was amazing, veggie were not soggy but crisp and fresh. Phai Thai noodles with chicken were wonderful and very flavorful and tasted like this entree had just been freshly prepared. Pineapple Fried Rice was amazing huge serving and once again it tasted freshly prepared. Overall this was a delicious take out experience, congratulations to the new owners. Job done! Great place to go if you're celiac! It's been so difficult to find food options I can actually eat after my diagnosis, but Mali Thai Cafe is hands down the best place in the Woodland area for GF food. I have been eating from here for several months and I can't get enough of their food. Highly recommend their friend rice and stir fried dishes. For appetizers I would avoid the calamari, but the chicken wings are amazing. The spice tends to be on the spicier side (a great sign of authentic thai food), so choose your spice wisely. I've never gotten sick from the food so you can rest assure when the menu says GF, they really mean it. Service is always great. Celiac or not, I recommend this place to everyone! This was a random find along our road trip through Washington. Very clean dining area. The staff was super friendly. I appreciated that they were considerate about the spicy level. The crispy duck curry was a surprise. I enjoyed how crunchy the skin of the duck was. The curry was sweet and I enjoyed the pieces of lychee in it. The yam near- The fish sauce was potent when it arrived but it was good. It was pretty spicy for me, but I liked the freshness of it and enjoyed the pop of mint through the dish.
