I recently, about a year and a half back, had an implant done. Dr. Blum does the creation of the tooth and I commented about that when it was done. Well, this past weekend, I was playing with a Pitbull and the dog reared his head back and smacked me in the mouth. This morning something felt odd and I found the implant bond had broken and the tooth was loose. Being a front tooth, it stands out so I called early and left a message, by early, I'm talking about 6am. They reached out, asked if I could come in within the next 30 minutes and after a bit of cleaning up and fixing things up, I walked out with my tooth repaired. This is the kind of dentist that you want, someone who takes your concerns in and takes care of your needs. I have been seeing her for about four years now and am very, very pleased with her professionalism. read more

I decided to seek dental services at Nola Dental Studio in March 2018 as it was convenient and close to home. What a mistake. First I had a crown placed which was badly color matched to my other teeth. It looked gray/brown. Grudgingly, It was replaced with another that more closely matched in color. The crowns have always looked undersized and badly angled next to my other natural teeth and have never felt comfortable. My entire smile looks uneven as well. Recently, I've had inflammation and gum irritation around the crowns that were placed. According to my new dentist, the crowns that were placed at NOLA Dental Studio are badly fitted and are causing the inflammation and pain. I'll have to have them replaced to ease the discomfort and inflammation. Long story short, I would NOT recommend this dentist. On a good note, the hygienist, dental assistant and receptionist were very nice. In my opinion, Dr Blum behaves in a snarky and condescending manner and is unpleasant overall. read more

I had my first appointment today at, NOLA Dental Studio and it was amazing. I had been putting off finding a new dentist because let's be honest, it's not usually a place you look foreword to going. Thanks to Dr. Blum and her staff that has all changed. Upon my arrival the lady at the front desk was very sweet and helpful with the paperwork and other info. I was then taken back for my cleaning with Laura, she was very detail oriented and you can just tell when someone takes pride in what they do, she did! Then Dr. Blum came in for my check-up. She was very nice and super informative. I was interested in having a couple things done in the future and she gave me a few options and explained everything perfectly. She wasn't rushed or pushy, like other dentists I've been to. Overall it was a great experience! I'm actually looking foreword to my next visit, I've truly found gem. read more

I went to Dr Blum a few times. 1st for routine cleaning and checkup. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and had to return twice to get it done, which isn't unusual. On my final deep cleaning, I was told I had 4 cavities. There was never any mention of this on my 1st visit after having xrays performed. I found that to be odd, especially since I had never had a cavity in my life. On my visit to have the cavities fixed, I explainer explained that my body processes anesthesia quickly. She number me up and returned almost an hour later! I could hear her socializing with the staff while I waited. She returned, began drilling and of course I felt it. She numbed me up once more and came back 10 minutes later to work on me. I will never return here. The staff is pleasant, but she is rude and very condescending! A horrible experience! When I needed to find a dentist in town, I found NOLA Dental Studio because it was close to work. I've been absolutely impressed with the entire staff at the office. I have noticed that as they've added some new technology (their new online system for patient records). They are a very professional yet friendly group, including Dr. Blum. I would (and have!) recommend them to anyone. read more

Dr.Blum is a scammer, do not go to her! Not only does she make snarky/ rude comments throughout the appointment, she also tried to scam me out of $3000 when I went for a cleaning. She told me I had 14 cavities, which seemed unusual because I had no signs of any forming cavities at my previous check up nor had I changed any cleaning/eating habits. I went to a different dentist to get a second opinion, and it turns out I only have 1 cavity. Dr.Blum was my whole family's trusted dentist, and she seemed to be a nice woman. She proved at my most recent appointment that she was actually a money hungry scammer by treating like an idiot when I questioned the amount of cavities. Dr.Blum lied to me to try and get more money. Do not waste your time with this woman, she should lose her license. read more

I usually had good experiences with my dental care at Nola Dental Studio. The staff was very respectful & nice. I also never had issues with the cleanings or any serious dental procedures. My problem was when one of my close friends sought Dr. Blum's office for employment. I started to hear the way she was being treated during the training portion, and I wasn't happy. Dr. Blum was rude & disrespectful towards her in a very prejudice manner. Also, she would yell at her employees in front of customers, which is very unprofessional. Finally, instead of letting her go in a proper manner, Dr. Blum sent her home to "train a hygienist" and never called back. I wouldn't recommend going to this dental office unless it's a last resort, solely because of how Dr. Blum treats her employees. read more

I went to Nola Dental studio for the first time as a first time patient yesterday. I was having tooth pain in one of my molars and I decided to make a appointment to see what was going on, so I get there they take a x-ray and said I had a filling touching my nerve in my molar tooth. I needed to have a root canal performed, so I had it done had no problem with pain while the procedure was done and one day passed in pain free. Dr. Blum is really helpful, friendly, sweet and her staff is very sweet. I recommend going to this place for your dental needs. read more

If you want to get your teeth right looking nice and really bright you should go to this dentist offices staff is so nice and very sweet they also have a card call a customer care card as a credit card that will also help you out financially if your insurance is not able to pay everything that you need and they was also tell you about it trust me you won't regret the decision going to this place read more

I would NOT recommend Nola Dental Studio to any of my friends or colleagues. Rebecca Blume is the rudest and most unpleasant person I have ever met. She is condescending and not helpful. I'm making it a PRIORITY to not reference her to other people. Now with that said, her employees are the nicest people and even had to apologize for her attitude and comments. I also didn't like that they forced all these options on me, as I went in for a cleaning and left with a $4,000 quote. I will never be returning to them again and I advise you do the same. read more

I went to this office on feb 20 just for a general cleaning. I walked out with 6 fillings and was told that my insurance would pay and to be honest she said "what type of insurance do you have I have never seen anything like this girl you got good insurance". She really scared me , she is rude I thought I was having a nightmare when I was in her office. I have received a bill for $300 almost two months later. I am very upset with this office and I will be contacting my attorney. This is not how you treat your patients. Please do not go to her she is not a very good dentist!!!! read more

I have been a patient for years but have have two very concerning issues. First issue was I was billed six months after treatment demanding more money. I was upset and asked would they rather my insurance dollars at the start of the year of $1000 dollars or the Extra fees they found $40. They asked me to send the $40 check! Sucked is up and paid the check and returned to spend my annual $1000 insurance money. Had a filling fall out and asked for an appointment. Not nowing if it was work from my last visit two months before or what the problem was but had a nice billing statement that would follow the visit. I decided to walk out at that point and will seek another provider. read more

I enjoyed being a patient here but after an egregious billing error on their end they decided to charge me for it. Their only solution outside of me paying the balance in full was to call my insurance provider and see if they can help. Dr. Blum needs a better billing staff. I created this Yelp account to warn people about this dentist. The staff was friendly, but not in a professional sense. Before I went in for my first visit I filled out all the paperwork online. When I got their they didn't even realized I filled it out. Then I had to wait over 45 minutes. When I finally was called to be seen they take the xrays and started to clean my teeth. My front teeth are sensitive to the cold and when they were spraying them I would flinch a little bit. She asked why I was flinching and I told her I put in the paperwork I was sensitive to the cold. Then she said "Oh ok let me look....oh yeah you did put that there." So what's the point of filling out paperwork if no one is actually going to read it.... Then when I go to leave and they are finishing up my paperwork I get told I have over 10 cavities. No one bothered to keep me informed as they were cleaning my teeth that this was going on. I wished they wouldn't have made it seem like everything was ok. This is my health we're talking about, not just a haircut. Then the lady jumps in and says "Oh I almost forgot" and puts a $15 tube of toothpaste on the counter for me to purchase. They did not once say that I needed it during examination which made me feel it's a quick way for them to make a quick buck. I asked why they wanted me to get it and they said "oh it's really good toothpaste." So I go ahead a buy it and give them a chance. I pre-paid for some cavities and get the work done and now I get hit with a bill 5x greater than what I had already paid for. When I call to get information about it they are very brief and seem like they don't really care about me just about getting their money. When I was about to get off the phone I said to cancel my June appointment and the lady just says "ok"....they didn't even try to ask why I was cancelling or if I wanted to re-schedule. They just truly made me feel like another number in their system. I will never recommend this place nor will I ever go back. Please be careful when choosing any type of Doctor. Some of them apparently only care about your wallet. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more
