    Goat Cheese Stuffed Ravioli ($16)
    Robert S.

Thursday night birthday dinner for me. Reservations through OpenTable. This is a small, quaint Italian restaurant located downtown Taylor Texas. The atmosphere is intimate and I quite enjoyed the ambiance. Although not busy at all, my first impression was positive. My wife and I were seated at a table adjacent to the street window. Since it was my birthday I wanted to splurge for a bottle of wine and ordered a bottle only to be informed they were out of stock. I looked again while the waiter recommended several bottles in the $70-$80 per bottle price range. I switched my order to a bottle of Querceto ($39), a French made red table wine. Absolutely delicious. What a great wine (in my humble opinion). Next it was time for an appetizer and I wanted to try the Prosciutto wrapped Figs. The waiter then informed me they were out of figs. So, needless to say we are not being impressed with two out of two items so far not in stock. I then settled on the Goat Cheese Filled Ravioli ($16). The presentation was good with four pieces topped with an in house marinara. We each tried the ravioli only to be disappointed in the flavor profile. There was very little goat cheese and the ravioli itself was like day old bread: hard, chewy, and just not very good. I will say the in house marinara almost made up for it by being flavorful and plentiful. But no, I expected a much better prepared ravioli. Not good. The restaurant is trying to change up the menu and offer different entrée selections on a rotating basis. My wife had the beef tips ($28) in a yogurt based sauce on top of yellow rice with asparagus. The dish was presented cold. The rice was severely overcooked. The yogurt sauce lacked any discernable flavor profile and the asparagus was unremarkable. This being the signature dish of the evening, it was a real disappointment and entirely forgettable. The highlight of the evening was my dish. I had the Italian sausage with homemade pasta in an in house marinara. The sausage could have been broken into slightly smaller pieces and there was not much pasta but the marinara was spot on. The dish was presented hot and had an excellent flavor profile. The portion was ideal and I found myself thinking this should be the signature dish. We spent $131 with tax and tip. Service was good and not intrusive. The server was knowledgeable and thoughtful. Since we started the service with two "out of stock" acknowledgements and the appetizer was quite frankly bad plus the beef tips were much less than expectations, I can only give 2 stars. Having said that, I would try this establishment once more. I fully support small businesses especially in a small town. I want them to succeed but for over $100 I also expect a better meal.

    Seating area.

I am loving this new menu. The orange lentil soup was super good. I went ahead and got the Mediterranean pasta for my entree The Bear Monday is a delicious white fish I got the pasta with the marinara sauce It was really good. The service was excellent as usual. Michael tended to all of our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The raspberry tiramisu was the delicious take on a tiramisu. big fan of the limoncello liqueur.

Enjoyed the food here now twice veryMuch , but, better yet the cozy unique atmosphere and attention to detail in service! Only downside is the lack of variety in the menu. Just would like to see a couple more options for entrees especially for someone who can't have the pasta. But they do what do in the loveliest manner so shrug lol! Heart them!

    Excellent bread!

The food is good but definitely overpriced for what you're getting. The staff were very friendly though.

Good food. HORRIBLE SERVICE. We waited 30 minutes for our desert. The waiter forgot about it. Very expensive for just tapas. Good for wine.

They also accommodated his request to have the egg on the side. I guess it could be a hole in the wall place since it's in an unassuming small business strip but the music was good and everyone loved the food! Be warned: there is only 1 bathroom so plan your potty break accordingly...

Had a cauliflower crust pizza (my new favorite in the area) with burrata and pepperoni. Also ordered a mini Sicilian with pepperoni... delicious. Crust was super light and didn't disappoint. Amazing fresh cheese all the ingredients from the toppings to the onions to the pepperoni to the different types of cheeses all on that amazing fresh crust the dough is incredible. Let's start with the pros and then I'll list the cons. I gave my review a four out of five because it frankly has more pros and cons. Pros: Amazing thin crust with no flop Fresh crispy undercarriage Dough is light and crispy Plenty of cheese on all the pizzas Each ingredient on each pizza you can taste on its own Cons: The garlic knots didn't have a strong enough garlic flavor The marinara sauce was too watery The Sicilia Panino sandwich to me, didn't have the price it cost vs the value. It cost too much versus the value that I received. It just didn't have enough meat to arugula to bread ratio it was off. I wish it had more of that white sauce. Incredible bread though. The supreme pizza in my opinion is the best out of the three. The supreme pizza had more toppings. You can really taste each ingredient in the overall American cheese on top was a nice contrast to the other two pizzas that tend to have more white cheese plus you can taste sausage. The diavola is a straight cheese, pepperoni pizza. Love the amount of ingredients on top. I appreciate the sliced meats and the cheese was great. The burrata had to be my least favorite because the mozzarella on top melted and it sort of got all over the pizza and leaked out the box. I was hoping the mozz would hold its shape but it's fine. To me the sauce underneath was not tasteful enough because I couldn't taste the sauce. I wish it had more sliced proscuitto. Overall great experience and I ended up having a food, and I went to bed

It's a local mom and pop establishment from looking from the outside, but was confirmed clearly it was from staff. Not sure where I want to begin. I'll start with the food. I got the lunch special. 1 slice, 3 knots and a drink. They were "short stocked" on drinks so only had 3 choices. Beverage was in a bottle and was not cold. I was told they had no ice either. I got the mushroom and spinach slice. The toppings and sauce were very good however the crust was black and burnt on the bottom so I just picked off the toppings. The same with the garlic knots too. You can see in the photo too. The marinara dipping sauce was cold and was told they do not do warm dipping sauce. I do believe if the pizza and the knots were not burnt, they would have been enjoyable. I am not sure if management reads this but your staff does like you very much. However, you might want to let them know discussing other employees and past employees love lives, jail records, arrest records, making fun of someone's disabilities is not ok in the workplace let alone with customers in the restaurant. I learned wayyyyy too much about the "person" that just got fired and their age and why they were arrested and closing up your restaurant an hour early. I felt extremely uncomfortable having to listen to this!

Could not believe how good it was! The crust was thin and crisp, and the oil dripping from the bottom. And was told by someone on staff that the water comes from NY, and the recipe has not changed since before the mayor of Hutto took over the business. As I drove home, I struggled to save a piece for my wife to try, but I succeeded. And she was also pleasantly surprised. However, given that she was just in NYC a few days ago, she said it's not as good as the one she tried out there, but if she hadn't tried a slice in NYC recently, she would've said that this one is very good and reminiscent of NYC pizza. This is the first time we come really close. Prior to Anthony's Pizza, we tried Russo's in StoneHill, but this one is much better. Will definitely go back for more, with the family, either to go or eat-in. My only complaint is the price for one simple cheese slice is $4.00 + tax. A legit NYC slice in New York is not selling for $4.00, probably $2.50, but $4.00 is over the top. But if the water truly comes from NY, maybe I could be reasonable. Staff was friendly and informative. The place looked neat and clean.

Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.

Chicken quesadilla was great. Seasoned waffle fries with gringo dip was also very good. Not so good: Management. I ordered a double Jack and Coke in a short glass. I deliberately mentioned the short glass to the waitress, in spite of the fact that a typical double whiskey and Coke drink comes in a short glass. Unfortunately she didn't catch the ask for short glass (she said she'd never had someone yet ask for that order, but I think she meant at this restaurant). Someone delivered a tall glass instead. I asked our waitress to give me a short glass and she tried to do so. When she came back she said the manager wouldn't let her, which was weird, so I asked to see the manager. Josh. Josh did not handle the interaction well in my opinion. In his opinion it was the same alcohol in a short or tall, so he thought I should just drink the tall. That's obviously not a great experience. Ultimately after a (too) long discussion he didn't charge for the drink. But the experience was ruined for us and since this was our first visit to this location it was simply a bummer and we likely won't be back.
