I was visiting my friend in NOLA and preparing to leave on a cruise out of NO. My friend has a package with some other tanning salon in town but they were booked. In a pinch we called Nola Tan and she got us in late the evening before we left out. Life saver! We were a little hesitant since it was out of her home but all was good and safe. Greta's tans are PERFECTION! I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding and needed to look great in all the photos. I'm from Seattle originally and honestly just had the intention of finding a booth spray tan (I've always used Mystic) somewhere before my trip to Vegas this fall. But when all of these personalized spray tans popped up during my search (which we don't have a lot of where I'm from), I decided to try it. I had actually tried to contact another tanner from Yelp first, but when I never heard back, I gave Greta a call. From start to finish she was absolutely fantastic. Not only was she super easy to contact and make an appointment with, but when I lost my phone before my appointment, she happily texted me all of my appt info again. I was kind of nervous because I'd never done anything like this before (and naked in front of a stranger is always weird) and didn't really know what to expect. Nevertheless, she made the whole experience super comfortable, she was so professional, and most importantly, the color was PERFECT. I'm really pale, so it was a near miracle that she could make me super tan and still have it look natural. Best of all? The price! I was honestly surprised at how affordable a custom tan was. I got married in New Orleans last week and went to NOLA Tan for my spray tan (along with my now, sister-in-law), and loved the results! We both did the Express Tan, where you can shower after 1.5 hrs, which I preferred doing, so I didn't have to sleep in it. The tan looked very natural for my wedding. Greta was really sweet and made us feel very comfortable. Her salon is located behind a house in the Garden District, where you see a pool upon walking up to it, which was cool. Her solutions were all natural-based, so were good for sensitive skin. It's been a week since I've gone, and I still feel like I have a little tint left. I thought this was going to be a great first spray tan experience. Gretta got back to me quickly to make an appointment, but then was about 30 min late and made me wait for her. She then had to do a rushed job since I had to be somewhere and didn't account for her being so late. I still made sure to tip her well and be kind since I'm an easy going person. She said she would check in with me the next day since it was a rushed job and she wanted to make sure I liked it. So she did text me the next day and I told her I would like to come in to fix some things. She then never responded. Until the next day to say she didn't see my text until she was leaving. I obviously didn't believe that since I had responded very quickly to her, and I know she most likely looks at her phone between clients. I then texted her again a few days later asking how long the tan should last and that I was wanting to come back again when it's faded. No response. I then texted her a last time to try to get an appointment. No response. I think she does a decent job, but I am so sick of bad customer service. Both times I did the express tan which you can leave on for 1-3 hours depending on how dark you want your tan and then are able to shower. This was very convenient since I had early flights both times and it was nice to be able to shower that evening. Gretta is professional and makes you feel comfortable throughout the process. She is easy to book with over the phone or through text. The color of the tan was very natural and mine lasted about 5-7 days. The tan also faded naturally, no peeling or flaking.
