I have been a loyal customer of this establishment for about 1 1/2 years, every time I go in I feel the same level of hospitality as I did the first day I walked through those doors. The Good: Great location, good hookah, checking out is how every restaurant should be mandated by law to emulate. Checks were auto separated & they bought over a ipad for check out. A breeze The Not so Good: We arrived after 10pm & get seated shortly after. Next ordered hookah which came a bit late. Kinda annoying but not a big deal. Close to 11 have our hookah & having a great time on the patio. Minutes before midnight I hear a table across from us complaining that the patio would be closing @ 12 & our hookah would be taken, huh! They felt that they should have been told this in advance. My party and the party next to us agrees, all tell staff, hey you should tell people this in advance or at least print it somewhere. If we knew we would have chatted less & smoked more. As hookah is taken away staff said closure was due to a noise ordinance pushed by residents. Okay annoying but okay now I know. Discussion was OVER. I walk to the door to exit, for some unknown reason a staff member decides to confront ME over the discussion. He repeatedly insisted I was "mad at him" & "felt some kinda way" over the patio closure. Each time said look I am not "mad" but do think you should communicate the policy better. He was never our waiter and I did not remember seeing him before he confronted me so I was very confused as to why he chose me to harass. I finally put up my hands in a "please leave me a lone stance" & said look I am never coming back here, to end the aggravation. The patio closure wasn't why I wouldn't return. I own in DC I get noise ordinances and once told, understood why the patio was closing. Having an employee start an argument with me over a multi-group opinion was why I wouldn't return. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This service is horrible. The staff are unprofessional and scammers. Socoya needs to be fired. As she was our waiter, and gave my cousin and I attitude from beginning to end. A party of two and we left with a $275 bill. Socoya who's also apparently the manager (HOW!?) added 4 extra drinks to our bill and preceded to tell me that I was there for 6 hours and bought shots for the a couple that was seated next to us. (Absolutely a lie) First of all, We were there for maybe 3 hours and had 3 drinks apiece and ordered one refill of hookah. That's it. We never ordered drinks for others. We didn't even know those people. We were simply sitting next to them as it was a Friday, so it was a full crowd. everybody was sitting next to someone. We called the next day because we never received an itemized receipt. Just a receipt with a "275.32" stamped on it. During the call Socoya was nonchalant but described us perfectly from hairstyles to clothing. Where we were sitting the imaginary "6 hours" we sat there according to her etc. However, she had a memory lapse when we informed her that she added 4 drinks to our bill. "I don't remember what you guys ordered" hmm sketchy... Refused to issue a refund. Instead we were offered a discount on the next visit. There will be no next visit no matter what. I declined. Keep the money and the discount. Sounds like a scam to me. I will never in my life spend another dime there. This is my first yelp review ever. Therefore, I'm pretty pissed about the whole situation and felt compelled to warn others. Do not go there!!!! You will leave feeling like you've just been robbed. read more

Had a great experience at this Hookah Bar. They easily accommodated our group on a Friday when 2 of us wanted to join 2 of our friends. You have to buy a round of drinks with a group of 4 or more but that's okay because the drinks were sooooo good! I love fruity sweet drinks and all of the drinks were fruity and sweet that I tried. Great drink I had a apple berry something however it was cold I had to wait for the bouncer m to talk to his friends and then go inside and check if they had tables then they put us outside in the tent area where they played no music instead of giving us the option to sit inside the building with more heat and music no food no music over priced hookah decent drinks but it was very cute inside loved the clean bathrooms and cute candles I had 2 drinks and 1 white peach hookah my bill was 63 I did get a special flavor after taking the waiters recommendation so that could have jacked up the price customer service was cool read more

I don't know where to start from the door man bring high as f$&@ to everyone is the Manager and doing they only thing we Ben lie to 9 time about seating we was out side for 3 hours for 3 people a table open up for 5 people they said that only for a big party and then A table for 4 was available and we still got a no but other 3 party was let in because if they buy two hookah they can sit at the table of 4 i was really upset because why did we had that option we talk to the manager 9 different times now 4 hours has past now and then the manager said do u want the table for 5 but u have to buy two hookah and I was like ummmm we would had Ben did that what was the point of waiting outside for 4 hour just for u to say that when we did get to sit down other people came in and set Down anyway they wanted that really made me mad because all 9 time u said they can not do that they end up doing behind our back I will never come here again do not waste your money here other then the bartender drink was really good they need a better manager and door man that not going to show up to work high as a kite read more

Laid back. Reasonably priced. I do advise that you PAY IN CASH. When i visited two weeks ago their tablet apps malfunctioned and they swiped my card twice. Both the manager and the waitress told me I was not being charged. I did not want to swipe a third time so i paid in cash only to find I"D BEEN CHARGED TWICE. First it was hookah and drinks and soon it's going to be adjacent to a shisha store - perfect for those that enjoy the hookah lounge scene AND making their own shisha @ home! So moving on.. What can I say, cozy atmosphere, mixed crowds, mixed music, mixed drinks and great times! If u r lucky to get a seat (biggest complaint!) then the women of Nomad will definitely take good care of you! Special credit to Dee and Brit, they go above and beyond and treat every customer like they would their own friends - half the reason my friends and I come back so often!
