Everybody I interacted with - greeter, waiter, food runners, etc. - were friendly, neat, and professional, which along with the great food made a memorable dining experience. I had no trouble making a 6:00 Saturday reservation earlier that day but it did fill up while I was there so it was probably needed. Though there were some seats that remained open at the bar, so walk-ins might be accommodated there. It was a nice bar, with a very pretty stained glass table lamp on the counter and a very cool-looking bartender adding flair to the otherwise conservatively-attired staff. The menu is extensive and very Turkish. Even the wine list: every wine that I checked was Turkish. I know nothing about Turkish wine but the one I did try (many available by the glass) was enjoyable. I tried a cocktail too; a Turkish Cosmo, made with a Turkish pomegranate syrup. This was good too, tangy and not too sweet. For beers they offer ones from Turkey, Vermont, Mexico, and Connecticut. I was happy not to see any major American brands offered. I don't usually comment on prices, but they seemed slightly on the low side here, for everything: drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I am not complaining! I started with the Cold Meze Platter appetizer, recommended for 2. (Too much for 1 so I took some home.) Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Turkish Salsa, Hadari, and Stuffed Grape Leaves. Everything was very good, and the fresh-baked still-warm hadari bread it was served with was perfect with it. The Baba Ganoush was exceptional, chunky in texture and smoky in flavor. From the very extensive entree section I chose the Surf and Turf: skewers of swordfish and lamb, the latter cooked to order (it came out a perfect medium-rare as requested). The skewers, which also had green pepper and onions, was served with rice, bulghur, grilled tomato, a lemon wedge, and a salad of cabbage and pickled onions. Both the swordfish and lamb were marinated and had lots of flavor. The sides were good too. The portion size was generous and I didn't quite finish it, taking the rest of it home along with some of the appetizer. After finishing my entree and my wine, and taking in the ambience of this relaxing, blue-walled space, it was time for dessert. Among the 8 choices (a refreshingly large number) were 3 kinds of baklava. I went with the Fistikli Çikolata (chocolate, pistachio, and hazelnut) If, like me your experience with baklava has mostly been the junk found on the counter of numerous pizza houses (stale, dry, and overly sweet) this is nothing like that and will change your opinion. The three pieces made a fairly large portion but it was so good there was no question of leaving any behind. This was also offered with Turkish ice cream but I didn't get it that way. Many more things to try here. I hope to return soon.

Really enjoyed the dinner! We got there early on a Thursday and got seated in one of the few choice…read moretables with the Winnooski River view. We enjoyed the mussels gauzzetto and calamari fritti. The Mediterranean chicken was well prepared and tasty. The pasta special was spinach feta almond slices in a light tomato sauce and I substituted penne for fettucine - I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. The margherita pizza was good. We suspect you need reservations for prime dining hours on a weekend. The decor feels a little dated but the food is great. We can forgive the $2 for a quarter loaf of bread because it's only a few dollars and the bread was fresh and served with garlic oil, not like overpriced $10-$12 Parker House Rolls, but it's not a good trend to charge for bread. Service was good until we wanted to pay our bill - that took a little bit. We'll happily return.

There was ample seating at the bar and as a single I sat down and the bartender was nice and cheerful. She helped me through the menu and I ended up with the fruits of the sea.. in an alfredo sauce. The scallops and shrimps were delicious. The noodles were great and the sauce, although a bit thick was very tasty. The only thing I wish I did different was I ordered the lemon cheesecake.. it was very cold so it'd been stored in the fridge as a slice and it didn't seem to be the freshest but it was okay. The atmosphere is wonderful. The location is great. The service is wonderful. I will be back. I'll just order something different. Dessert.

We stopped in here on a whim for lunch and I am glad we did. The hostess asked if we had…read morereservations (we did not), apparently that is a good idea because they are normally much busier at 1pm when we arrived, but she was easily able to seat my husband and I. Honestly, I was hoping to have a soup of some type but there was none available on the menu so I opted for the chicken salad Sandwich (didn't seem a very Turkish fare), but it was good...although the Sandwich needed more chicken salad to offset the thick Texas toast; there really was very little on the Sandwich. My husband had their PLT, a sandwich that had more substance to it (there was more bacon on it than there was chicken on my sandwich)...but again, both sandwiches tasted good. To drink we tried a couple of their cocktails and while tasty and unique they were very speedy, $16 is far too much to charge for them...the price definitely prevented me from having another, and when we go back to have dinner...we probably will skip drinks (not worth $32 for two people.) Don't get me wrong, we aren't cheap people, we just want a good value...the drinks aren't that. Our server was great! He was friendly, helpful, and there when we needed him. Couldn't have asked for more from him. We did also have a hot appetizer. I forget the name of it now, it was $9 for 2, deep fried rolls (like egg rolls of a sort but with Philly dough and filled differently), these were very good...I could have eaten several, I wish I remembered what they were, but they are last on the list of hot appetizers so you can find them.
