I typically just go to get my toes done but today I went ahead and got dip powder (it's the only thing that stays on my nails without lifting or breaking) and I hated the process. It was rushed, the quality is horrible, the shaping is uneven and the nails look lumpy towards the cuticle and thin towards the front. Never again. read more

Although I was quiet, listening to music on my phone, said yes ma'am/no ma'am when she asked questions during my appointment- The technician was extremely rude as she continuously pushed and yanked me around while providing services. She kept yanking my head as she did my eyebrow wax and my feet in a very rough/rude manner as she did my pedicure. I get that they're busy, but we called because of that. Booked an appointment for 3:30. Had me sit in the chair, we asked if we should come back..."no no take a seat"...almost an hour later, 4:15 I finally got water. 4:30/4:40 I was being worked on. My mom was started first & she said "oh you guys are busy today!" What looked like the owner said "yeah you should book an appointment!" Like...we did? LOL. Then went on about how we should've booked for Saturday instead....half argued with my mom about how they want to take everyone. Well, you can't. Come time to dry & I guess they were closing, ushered me out after 2/3 mins of drying time & said "ok you can walk now!" twice after I said no, I'd rather wait. Ended up leaving anyway because she was trying to slide the sandal on my foot. I still tipped, I'm never rude with any service providers, and don't usually care enough to complain. But be respectful enough of time not to take every walk in that comes in when you have appointments waiting for almost an hour. Another person walked in way after us and was worked on first. What, did she have an appointment for 2pm? Only pro is that my nail tech, Jennifer, was super sweet. That's why you have two stars instead of one. Whoever worked on my mom (and presumably owns the shop).....time management will get you far. Just tell the customer when you don't have time to accommodate. Ok, let's start by saying...yes, this is a dudes review of a nail salon. Yes, men like to be groomed and guess what? Ladies love a man that doesn't have jagged nails and claw like talons on their feet, plus come on if you can avoid having a uni-brow, it's not a bad thing. Nona Nail & Spa is really great. My last spot in Lakewood Ranch / Bradenton / Sarasota was the only place I went for over 10 years, so getting into my good grace so quickly here was not an easy affair. Jenny is the absolute best there, but make sure to plan a few days (or more if you're in a tight time frame of availability) cause she does book up very fast; probably the most popular there. I don't go for the fancy upgraded pedi....just the standard clean up these man feet and make me look good treatment. Manicures are fantastic and help us boys keep from snagging our nails in or on any delicates spots on our better half (I'm just being honest here...you all know it's true). I also have Jenny do my eye brows, but I always preface it with "No drag brow please". You won't be disappointed here. There are plenty of places to go in Orlando, but on the Southeast side of Orlando....I'd go no where else! read more

The reviews should have told me everything I needed to know. The first time I came, I blamed it on myself for walking in late. By the time I got home all my polish was chipped and peeling. Today... before my toes were dry, this man picked up my purse (without my permission) and said let's have you pay.. or something that sounded like that.... and there was NO ONE waiting. So second visit I'm going home with wet toes. And some stranger was just grabbing my belongings. Stay away. Trust me your at home pedicure would be better. read more

Got an eyebrow wax, Brazilian wax, and a gel manicure - all by the same technician whose name I never got, but she was lovely. I usually go to European Wax Center for my Brazilian, but they didn't have any convenient openings, so Nona Nails was suggested to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. She was so attentive and made sure that all the hair was removed, pulling the strips in different directions to maximize removal. As someone who was used to the hard wax that EWC uses, I was pleasantly surprised with the use of strips - it was a cleaner wax and less painful, actually. Eyebrows were beautiful cleaned up and the shape and bulk of hair maintained as per my request. My manicure was a decent manicure (I usually do my nails myself, so I'm used to them being done a certain way) and I am pleased. I called earlier in the day to schedule the wax appointments and once I was in, I asked if I could squeeze in a manicure. I was accommodated very easily. read more

My wife and I took my mother in law here for her bday today. The ladies did a poor job. They left the acrylic all around my wife's cuticles and under her nails. The customer service was terrible. The techs were rude and made sarcastic remarks regarding if my in law knew English, (she does)....only because she took a few extra minutes deciding what services she wanted. They rushed and could care less about the finished product. Both ladies nails were uneven and poorly shaped. I'm only writing this review to warn others, not to waste their $75 on this place. Three stars for a fairly good nail salon in Lake Nona. Nona nails is conveniently located next to the Publix by Laureate Park in Lake Nona, and it is a nice little spot if you are in a pinch. The salon appearance is somewhat clean, the pedicure stations are covered with plastic to prevent fungus spreading, and the tables are average in terms of cleanliness. The two areas that are disappointingly dirty are the bathroom and the wax room. The bathroom looks like it's been tidied up, but not deep cleaned in ages! The wax room has dirty sheets covering the waxing bed. It's DISGUSTING! The service here is lack luster at best. The technicians look at you like they are doing you a favor rather than getting paid for a service, and it's not cheap! I paid about $90 without tip for an SNS manicure and a deluxe pedicure. The checkout process is cumbersome, since they don't have a dedicated clerk, and have to wait around to get assistance. It's not all bad, but if you can go somewhere, I would recommend that over visiting this place. read more

Not convinced of their service. Wanted to do a gel mani and a regular pedi but I only ended up with the Pedi because the same nail tech is supposed to do both... and after getting my pedi done I didn't want to waste me time and money on my mani. She finished the pedi in about 20 mins and the way she painted my toes was horrific, I had to go back home to re-do them. I had a clear coat on my toes and she didn't even remove that before painting my toes. She didn't shape my nails well and they were cut at an angle... Also, their cheapest pedi is $30. That's outrageous! The other salons around the same area have better ratings and between $26-28. I won't be returning here. read more

I do not recommend this salon. The reviews tell it all. My nail tech didn't look at me (or my nails) throughout the entire process. She and the staff talked to each other the ENTIRE TIME! Colors were limited and the colors I picked in "the book" didn't match. And my toes didn't match my fingers. So disappointed! With my manicure, she did not remove cuticles or do a hand massage, which are standard procedures everywhere else. Two mani/pedis cost $155. Unbelievable! Sigh, what a waste of money. I recently moved to Lake Nona from Miami so I decided to check this place out. First off, Let me say that I am extremely picky when it comes to my mani and pedi. I have every right to be because #1. it's not cheap and I do my nails every two weeks and #2. It's MY time. So, with that being said on my first visit the tech who was doing my toes forgot to put clear coat on one of my nails. When she finished with me she quickly left and started working on her next client at her manicure station. I asked another lady walking by if she could kindly put clear coat on my nail and I swear she looked at me like I was crazy. I even suggested putting the clear coat myself. Until finally the lady beside me with an angry look on her face rolled her chair over and quickly applied the clear coat. When I finally got out of there I honestly hated how my toes were painted. You could see the layers of nail polish. I ended up going to publix purchasing nail polish and repainted my toes myself. After two weeks, I decided to try someone new before I decided that I wasn't going back. What a disappointment! She didn't listen to me, I like my acrylic nails squared and she did them a bit rounded and crooked. I had to file my own nail when I got home! Again, the nail polish was thick and the layers were visible. I payed for the deluxe pedicure, gel refill and upper lip wax- $88! To be unhappy with my nails?! Never again. I did my nails on Saturday and by Monday my nail polish was already chipping. If I could move my nail tech from Miami I'd do it in a heartbeat. So the search for my next Hannah continues. read more

My friend and I went for a regular pedicure and were treated like low class, because we didn't upgrade our pedicures. Every single person around us were offered something to drink besides her and I. Then our pedicure literally was done in 15 min, worst pedicure ever. Forget about making an appointment here, you will always wait at least a half an hour for your pedicure. BEWARE!!! RUN!!! I went in and first things first, they are rude. It's one thing to have a language barrier, its another to be dismissive. I was in desperate need of a mani so I settled. Not even 10 min into my manicure the tech cuts my cuticle to the point where it won't stop bleeding. I'm in the medical field, so immediately I'm on high alert and start scanning the place. Is it clean? where do they sanitize their instruments? At this point, I'm pissed off that I didn't check for the signs sooner. To top it off: she decides that the little blue antiseptic drop isn't working so guess what she uses to stop the bleeding? KRAZY SUPER GLUE!! Are you kidding, super Glue ON A CUT thats meant for metals, rubbers, glass and wood. I tried to remove my hand and she grabbed it back as if not to make a scene. I yanked my hand, yelled at the tech, got up and left. Next day, I went to work got a tetanus shot and antibiotic just to be safe. Worst experience ever. You've been warned. Let's just say I should have known better and looked at Yelp before I came into this place. I will go straight to the point: mediocre to non-existent hygiene standards. The first thing I noticed was how unsanitary everything was. Still, being the stubborn lady I am, I decided to ignore the red flags as I really wanted to relax and enjoy my mani-pedi. My technician, whom I couldn't communicate with due to a language barrier, was nice. Not the best, but nice. The lady did not disinfect the pedi-bowl, and proceeded to fill it up with boiling water as to literally burn all the germs. She then asked if it was too hot, to which I said yes since I thought my skin would fall off. Fast forward to her arguing with me that I needed to cut my nails, which to be honest I prefer to have them filed. This is all gesturing, mind you. I agree to have them clipped since I just wanted to be done with it, but to my suprise, she used non-sterile clippers and a filer that looked dirty as hell. My heart started racing and I broke into a sweat, since I know the risks involved. She kept going to a drawer getting all kinds if instruments which were clearly non-sterile nor sanitized, and used them on me. She used several pumices that were also taken from her pandora drawer, and failed to even clean them before scrubbing my feet. Her paint work was pathetic as well. To top it all, a police car parked in front of the store and let me tell you, all the techs went bonkers. They started yelling and talking to each other, and next thing you see is them dropping their clients (me included) and getting razors from their stations and drawers, and hid them. It was the single most weird thing that I've ever experienced in a nail salon. I later realized that they used razors to cut away dead skin (which is probably illegal). Anyways, the cops went into the restaurant next door to buy lunch, and you could hear all the sighs of relief from the technicians. Then, they all went back to finish their respective clients. I am angry at myself for staying there and not stopping that madness, but I didn't. Now I am paying for the consequences, and like my dermatologist told me "95% of the women I treat for this, get it during a pedicure. Do it at home, I'll clip your nails if you need me for goodness' sake". Yes, you guessed it. If after reading this review you still want to risk your health and go to this place, make sure you at least have some Tea Tree Oil at home. read more
