Every time we go to the beach we have a pool pizza night and we've found the jackpot of gulf shores pizza! The square margarita pizza is done perfectly, the meatlovers was was meaty and had the yummy crumbled sausage. The meatball sandwich was superb and the customer service was top notch! Where to begin? Location - it's a corner place on the main street, ironically next to a Dominos. They have they own parking too. It's relatively small and there is also an outdoor area. You are immediately greeted with a big smile and super helpful host. Order at the counter and pick your table. The food - simply incredibly good. We went twice in a 4 day vacation. We really enjoyed this pizza spot! The pizza had great flavor and the garlic knots were fantastic. We also tried the mozzarella sticks at our table and while they didn't look like they were going to be anything out of the ordinary, they were great too. We really appreciated how clean the restaurant was and that they had clean high chairs with working straps. That seems to be a rare find anymore. Both were good, but for $30 for the pizza I was expecting something next level. So I guess I am saying there is no such thing as bad pizza and I would have another slice if someone else was paying for it. As a local, I go to local places during the off season. Finally got to try Nonna's. Overall it was a good pizza. Crust was nice and crisp, sauce wasn't overpowering, sausage topping was crumbled (which I liked) and cheese, although sparse was good. I will go back and support this business once the crowds leave. They seem to do a lot of delivery and pick-up business so despite being the only proper dining in, order to serving time was a bit long, but understandable. The redesign from the drunken shrimp to Nonna's was done right as it does have a pizza vibe. The prices are very reasonable and a good value considering other beach restaurant prices. I'd consider changing the music from Broadway musicals to something more upbeat for a beach restaurant. I recommend Nonna's for dine-in or delivery if you are visiting Gulf Shores read more

Very friendly and down to earth family that runs this place- we have gotten a Pie every day on vacation- get the square or grandmas style with the little pepperonis! I asked for fresh basil and they are not skimpy with it- we absolutely love this place and I wish they would open another spot in Clarksville TN (all our pizza places are terrible and they would make a killing) so I can enjoy their pizza all year and not just on vacation. We decided to try Nonna's based on the great reviews we saw on Yelp, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The setup felt a bit odd--you have to seat yourself, then get up to order food and drinks, which wasn't clearly explained. We ordered garlic knots to start, but they were underwhelming--just basic dough with little to no garlic or butter. The bigger issue was the wait. After waiting over an hour, we noticed several groups who arrived after us receiving their pizzas before we did, even though we only ordered a cheese pizza and a margherita pizza. When we approached the owner to ask about our order, we were met with attitude rather than an apology or any effort to resolve the situation. Because of this, we ultimately left without eating.
