Big Beach Brewing is a really nice brewery! I only had one beer during my visit, the area two five one. It's a hazy ipa and I really enjoyed it! The inside space offers a lot of seating and they have televisions. Lots of seating outside too! Plenty of parking. Clean bathrooms. The drink menu has something for beer and non beer drinkers. We popped over on St Patrick's Day! And let me tell you, Big Beach Brewing was a happenin spot. The patio is lovely and had live music playing. The restaurant itself is industrial feeling with large garage doors that open to the patio. Parking is limited. Food menu is no frills and small. The pretzels we got were tasty but not a lot of bang per buck. Staff was nice and despite being slammed, food/drinks came out quickly. My beer was great! I adore stouts and they did theirs right. Perfect for St Patrick's Day. Loved their selection. Overall, this is a gem of a brewery living on Gulf Shores. Don't forget to grab a six pack to go! read more

The staff remains great here, even after the ownership change several months ago. They have a small kitchen ("snack shop") and they are regularly changing up the food options. I don't get food every time I visit, but I haven't been disappointed in any of the food I ordered. I like the new food options they added since the last time I stopped in, and my wife and ai tried out two of their Signature flatbreads. The price is great for the amount and quality of these flatbreads and I recommend you try them out - they even list beer pairings that they recommend with each! read more

This was a fun spot for a meetup other than the live music was super loud. Like "Shouting in each other's faces loud." Thankfully, we were able to find a table around the side where the volume was not quite as bad. So many fun craft beers to try, I had to get a flight. Really enjoyed their Mexican Lager (with lime). Snagged some Loaded Totchos to enjoy with the beer. As our only OBA brewery I was a big fan. But as a full time older resident I have issues with it. The place is decent most of the time, but often it's cold and Uninviting when they won't even turn on the TV's because the game "they" are waiting for is not on for hours. So rude. However, their bar stools are absolutely ridicules . As an older, shorter person their bar stools are so tall I struggle to even get into them and I prefer to sit at the bar. They are a very bad choice and very disrespectful and discriminatory!!!!' The beer is normally very good but certain times of the year are better than others. So for beer, I give this place a 4. This brewery doesn't technically serve food but food trucks come - as well as you can bring in food. The bar tenders are friendly and very helpful with choosing what you'd like to try. You can sit inside or outside - play some corn hole under the deck or go up and look over the canal and tacky jacks. read more

Sad sad day. I've been wanting to have a flight here for a couple of years but we're always so full after dinner. Today we saved room and realized it's just another tourist trap. Out of these four on this flight only 1 was good. I am used to North Carolina brewery's where is hard to find a nasty beer. I literally left them on the bar. My son's license was expired due to him being on a trip abroad when it expired. We totally understood that however got a dissertation from the bartender who thought he had taken the bar and kept on and on about why he wouldn't serve him. We never complained that he wasn't served. It could have been handled so differently than to continue to bring attention to the situation. We didn't need a lesson on the law sir. And as far as the ambiance...there were numerous children there...they don't serve food that I'm aware of. Why are children allowed at this establishment? read more

I'm not a big craft beer fan and at the time of going I wasn't able to drink, but my husband really enjoyed the beer. He had a few different ones and was impressed with the variety. We have a few breweries where we live, so trying a brewery out of town is always a highlight. The place itself is great! It's big and has outside seating with live music at certain times. I did have a sparkling water from the cooler that was a key lime flavor. I typically do not like sparkling water, but this was delicious. With the arrival of Big Beach Brewery in the waterway village district. It is truly Gulf Shores premier tap room featuring locally crafted beers ,live entertainment & an open yard area for you or your families  enjoyment of outdoor entertainment weather and a cold craft beer. That happened to be the 2nd biggest draw for me to come here despite no food is served here & I would recommend any place I have reviewed here in the area on Yelp as far as pickup or delivery. I would recommend places close by like Tacky Jack's Pho shizzle or China Dragon.   Among the small selections of the beers listed I decided on the Mexican Lager as I'm big on Dos Equis myself. I would have to say it's has much more of a fuller taste then what I'm use to & it was very enjoyable. I also ordered myself a sampler tray of 4 beer shots as I wanted to try others, they also weren't bad but I stuck with the Mexican Lager as it's my favorite out of all I sampled. As far as the environment I'd equivalate it to a similar place I visited in the past with a fire place but not quite as spacious which is a minor drawback but still over all a wonderful experience. I was skeptical-- their location was very convenient to the beach so I assumed the beer would take a second seat to the ambiance. It didn't! They had quite a nice variety. We tried quite a few. Let me tell you about a little secret in Gulf Shores AL. The beer is fantastic and can suite any pallet. They have wine too! They don't serve food but Ryan was creative enough to get the food truck community to swing by on different days and none of them disappoint. Please take advantage to keep them coming back.
