    Delicious!

This is a great find when you want to escape the touristy places on vacation. The food is amazing, the beers are fantastic and the serve was fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have live music for you to listen to while you relax and enjoy the beautiful weather of Gulf Shores.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nestled between Alabama and Florida, this truly is a gem of a brewery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Attended Sand in My Boots Festival and needed something away from music. This was the perfect spot for a warm day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff, well they love what they do just as much as they love the beer they brew and food they make. A DEF MUST STOP!!!!

We popped over on St Patrick's Day! And let me tell you, Big Beach Brewing was a happenin spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio is lovely and had live music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is industrial feeling with large garage doors that open to the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is limited. Food menu is no frills and small. The pretzels we got were tasty but not a lot of bang per buck. Staff was nice and despite being slammed, food/drinks came out quickly. My beer was great! I adore stouts and they did theirs right. Perfect for St Patrick's Day. Loved their selection. Overall, this is a gem of a brewery living on Gulf Shores. Don't forget to grab a six pack to go!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a nice place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the Street corn dip and the pretzel bites. Delicious. The beers have a good variety and we highly recommend this stop to "wet your whistle"

This place is for craft beer and music loving people of all ages. I've met so many fine people here and the bartenders are tip top. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Locals and visitors alike find this brew spot just off the canal a favorite for good times and great music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Try a beer flight of fav flavors or sample one of the many delicious flat breads. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This brew vibe is unmatched in South L.A.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I stopped in for music bingo. It was the first time I had ever played it this way. I had a great time and enjoyed a few different tasty beers. I'll be back next week to do it again.

The staff remains great here, even after the ownership change several months ago. They have a small kitchen ("snack shop") and they are regularly changing up the food options. I don't get food every time I visit, but I haven't been disappointed in any of the food I ordered. I like the new food options they added since the last time I stopped in, and my wife and ai tried out two of their Signature flatbreads. The price is great for the amount and quality of these flatbreads and I recommend you try them out - they even list beer pairings that they recommend with each!

This was a fun spot for a meetup other than the live music was super loud. Like "Shouting in each other's faces loud." Thankfully, we were able to find a table around the side where the volume was not quite as bad. I met up with Barrett O. here https://www.yelp.com/biz/big-beach-brewing-gulf-shores?hrid=ychB8WxFgLis2sWJb1oRXg and his lovely wife. We spent an about two hours and a few beers enjoying each other's company. The beers here are great. My "Catmans Kolsch" was delicious but that could have been because I was having fun telling stories. The parking situation here is a challenge with a lot that is too small by a third but the street parking was decent as long as you're not blocking a driveway and being respectful. Fun family vibe and a few folks who had brought their well-behaved dogs made it complete. [Review 633 of 2024 - 229 in Alabama - 21664 overall]

Like the saying goes, everybody can brew beer, but not everybody can brew good beer. This place does not brew good beer. Being from Colorado where there are a ton of microbreweries, I know good beer from bad beer. This is bad beer.

Pretzel bites with beer cheese, and mustard for dipping.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun little place to grab a flight and some snacks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was helpful. We really enjoyed the pretzel bites with beer cheese, and mustard for dipping.

It's a little out of the way, but so worth it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beware, though, that this gem is right next to a rather large construction project and can get loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Beer made it worthwhile!!

Need a cool place to hang out on a hot, humid afternoon? Head to Big Beach Brewing in Gulf Shores. Speaking of cool, Merileigh is the coolest. She had great suggestions so I went with a flight of two IPAs and two sours and my wife had a wine spritzer. Some of the tap handles looked like tentacles and they really stood out. Y'all come check this place out.

I'm sure the awards of best beer speak for themselves, but in case you needed to hear it from someone else - this is the best beer you'll ever drink. I can drink Big Beach all day long and never feel drunk or sick. I'm a huge fan of their sour beers but they have a wide variety of many types - always rotating with something new they've created. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They always have something fun happening whether it's music or trivia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Great beers.

    Is this place kid friendly?

Yes, just keep in mind there is no food served but you can bring your own food. They do serve lemonade but I believe that to be the only non-alcoholic beverage available.

We saw flying adverts for this place while at the beach, so we figured why not?…read more We found it pretty easily and it gives a very comfortable vibe, so dress up or down they will welcome you in. Our server, Michael was absolutely wonderful. (Plus he has amazing hair!) Anyway, we started with my Smoked Old Fashioned (It was ok, bartender went a little heavy on the bitters, and I should've asked for Bulleit Rye but that was my bad.) Anyway, Honey got a Black and Blue. Both came out super quick and we were instantly refreshed. We chose to sit in the patio bc the weather was nice and not too hot or cold. It was just right. We started with the ColCannon Boxty Appetizer. It is small balls of shredded potatoes that are fried, and come with a delish aioli dipping sauce. We chose to split the Shepherds pie for our main course. The meat gave me meat loaf vibes but with a ground beef texture and a unique aftertaste.. It was good, just the texture is unique! It came with a small portion of the Brown Bread with Garlic butter. It was good! We asked for more Garlic butter. It was delicious! We would've ordered a Creme Brûlée but we were both stuffed. It was overall a great place and we will visit it again. A must visit if you are in Orange Beach!

Coming for dinner on a Friday night, we were definitely concerned about getting a spot to eat. Parking is definitely limited, but we were pleased to find there was no way for a table outside. The weather was lovely and the music piped outside (often featuring Irish artists such as one of my favorites, Hozier!) made the whole atmosphere perfect. The inside is cute (albeit dim) and fulfills the pub fantasy. The ladies' restroom was clean. Our waitress was cheerful and fun. It took a little while for her to come get our drink order but after that she was johnny on the spot. The other waitstaff was friendly and professional too. My parents split the fish and chips, I got the chicken pot pie, and we split a side of colcannon. The sweet tea I had to drink was a little on the unsweet side for me, but I often find that's the case at restaurants on the gulf...further evidence that Florida/the gulf area is fundamentally different from the rest of the Deep South. Lol. My parents definitely enjoyed the fish and chips overall. I think my dad was hoping for a little more salt/seasoning in the fish breading but my mom was VERY pleased with hers. I'd never had colcannon before and thought what we got was just alright, figuring it wasn't really for me. My mom, who's tried it a few times different places, said she'd had a lot better. It had a pretty strong beer taste from the gravy on top. I'd be curious to try it again somewhere else and see how it compares. The shining star of the night was definitely my chicken pot pie. The crust was delightfully brown, the chicken was succulent and plentiful, and the sauce it swam in with the tender veggies was super flavorful and aromatic. It was perfect for a very slightly chilly evening. The brown bread served with it was absolutely delightful too, warm and rich and topped with delicious herb butter. I could easily eat a whole loaf. This was a great meal! Thanks for a unique and tasty dinner in Gulf Shores! I highly recommend the chicken pot pie to anyone considering it. :)

I have a few faves like the cheesy mushrooms and the BBQ shrimp, and nowadaya you can't just look at the regular menu. You have to check out their daily specials board because they are constantly knocking it out of the park with creative new dishes and fresh catches. The atmosphere is just even more welcoming, but the outdoor seating is much improved with some sand and stage, perfect for enjoying the coastal breeze. They updated their operating hours too, so they are now open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Whether you want to escape the usual tourist trap seafood lines, watch a game on their big screens, or just grab a ice cold beer, or really strong drink, with friendly folks, this place just keeps getting better. If you haven't been by lately, you are seriously missing out. Highly recommended!!! 5/26/26

We were seated on the corner of the patio, which provided a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. Several other guests warned us about aggressive seagulls, but thankfully they weren't an issue during our visit. To start, we ordered the buffalo dip. It was tasty and well-prepared, though it was fairly simple and something that could easily be recreated at home. For my entrée, I ordered the sourdough burger without onions and added bacon. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My husband went with the Double Pony Burger, which was absolutely massive. He thoroughly enjoyed it and had no complaints. I also tried the Seven-Headed Dragon cocktail, which is similar to a Long Island Iced Tea. It was delicious, packed a serious punch, and is definitely not a drink to underestimate! Our server was friendly and pleasant, although there were a few times when he seemed to disappear for a while, and our food took a bit longer to arrive than we expected. Even so, the atmosphere helped make up for the wait. As we were finishing up, they were getting ready to start karaoke, which looked like it would be a lot of fun and added to the lively beach-town vibe. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, the waterfront setting, and the laid-back atmosphere. While service could have been a little more attentive, I would absolutely come back for a cocktail, an appetizer, and to enjoy the view again.
