Our regular order is the sausage and giardiniera. We also get pepperoni and that's placed below the cheese so don't freak out if you don't see it on top when you open your box! They also do gluten free here, but it's a 12" thin crust only. Clutch for my GF friends. I've had my share of Italian food and I must say Nonno Carm's pizza & pasta is THE BEST by far!! The pizza is fabulous and all the dinners are equally amazing. I have so many favorites, pretty much the whole menu. The cook is compassionate about the food he prepares and the people he serves, always open to suggestions and recommendations. I love that If there's something you would like to customize or not on the menu, no worries just mention it and he will do his best to accommodate you. Carm's has catered all of my parties and several holidays for as long as I can remember, the first thing my guest ask "did you order from Carm's?" What a great feeling knowing everyone enjoys and looks forward to the food I'm serving at my celebrations and hearing the numerous amount of outstanding compliments each and every time. Let me just start off by saying WOW! You know it's always the small lil restaurants that seem to blow you away! From the food to the service to the all around experience! Now Nonno Carm's isn't that big of a place, I'd have to say like 5-6 tables Inside and I think 3 outside but you don't gotta go there for the seating. The FOOD is what is absolutely amazing! Carm the cook/owner who we meet when my wife and I went for our first visit was a great guy and by far the best chef.. is authentic Italian dishes... speechless... so good! I had the Mario's chicken Frances's (named after his son) and my wife had Gianna's gnooichi (named after his granddaughter) he's got a bunch of menu items named after his kids and grandkids which I thought was pretty cool. Nonno Carm's pizza is the best around. My favorite is the sausage, my fiancé loves the pepperoni and my son John adores his plain cheese pizza. In fact the few times that he (my son) has missed Nonno Carm's pizza, he sulks because he didn't get any fresh from Nonno...and then SURPRISE, we whip out leftovers and tears stop, sulking erased and my son is smiling from ear to ear!!! Nonno Carm's catered my daughter's first birthday with over 100 people. Most restaurants have a very difficult time being able to accommodate unless they sacrifice quality or quantity. Not only was the food delivered on time, but it was still warm and quality was not compromised. We started out with pizza and arancini as appetizers about an hour before the main course and the arancini were gone in a matter of minutes. We had pasta with vodka sauce, which was amazing, roasted potatoes, chicken limon, California mix of veggies, and salad. But the most popular dish was the pork tenderloin. It was lightly breaded, marinated and topped with mushrooms. People were absolutely amazed when I mentioned it was pork. WHEATON GO HERE! We "discovered" Nonno Carm's a block from our home and we are lucky we did. I am not sure how long this father/son establishment has been there as there was another place before it. Don't think it's the same place you have driven by a thousand times. This was our mistake. Since then we have been back for a simply stellar pizza. We had great calamari that was light and crispy. And there's some outdoor seating, when the weather is good. Definitely a local spot that you can just chill and relax at. I've now been here several times and so far everything has been perfect. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating, cordial, and engaging. They seem to go out of their way to accommodate you. And it doesn't feel forced like they have to do it, but just out of good common courtesy. Their thin, cracker crust pizza is something we get every time. Even if it's for just an appetizer, we will get a small and split it up for the table. Really outstanding flavor, great sauce, the "undercarriage" always crispy, and great flavorful cheese. We have gone up and down the menu from appetizers to the main dishes and I've been happy every single dish. As an appetizer, I highly recommend the calamari. With a light batter it's serve with marinara sauce and lemon. We've never seen them overdone or rubbery, which all to common. Ask for a little bottle of Tabasco if you want to add a little heat or kick. The main dishes. Spectacular chicken Vesuvio, chicken Parmesan, chicken Marsala, etc... All Solid! The Italian beef and beef/combo w/ sausage are delicious and quite frankly monstrous. Wow, do you get a lot for your portion here. I would definitely recommend one for that beefy hitter. For me, it's a the beef combo, dipped, with Giardinara, and a side of Au jus. And maybe broil a little provolone on top, if I'm feeling fancy. And honestly, the cakes and desserts are astonishing. The chocolate cake is so delicious and decadent and rich. OMG, I could just go in for a nice coffee and a chocolate cake and I'd be happy. In all, five stars for this place. I had Franky's Meatball Salad with Creamy Garlic dressing. We ordered Parmesan breadsticks and my husband had the Vodka Rigatoni Special. More about that later. We were served a really great crusty Italian bread and butter when we sat down. The restaurant was well staffed. Each of us had a good amount of leftovers to bring home. Prices are in line with other Italian restaurants in the area. Even a little less expensive. The server dropped off our bill. I usually don't look through the bill. My bad. This time I wanted to be sure we were charged the Special $8.00 Vodka Rigatoni special and not the regular $12.00 price for the dinner. My instincts were right. Our server charged us the $12.00 regular price. We asked a busser to find our server so she could correct it. We waited about 10 minutes for her to come back. She printed off a new bill with the corrected amount. I've had this happen to me before at other restaurants. I'm always a little skeptical about whether it was an honest mistake or if the server was trying to pull one over on us. I did not subtract any stars from my review since the amount was corrected, Husband reported that the Men's room was immaculate. We plan to return. We were happy with our experience.
