I can only give 1 star because I was so confused trying to order their Wednesday $15.65 Carry out large cheese with one topping pizza, I didn't order here. I went to our usual Domino's. The reason we wanted to try Nonno Carm's is because we never had it before and their reviews were good. Getting back to attempting to order the special using the app, when we checked out our $15.65 pizza, we got a message that said we had to order another $4.50 in order to get the special! We didn't want to order anything else. I didn't see anywhere on the app where it said that the $15.65 price is only valid on orders greater than $20,00. That did not seem like a very special Special to me. Doubt if we will be back. Ordering a Carry out Special should not be that difficult. read more

This is a small hole in the wall place that has really good pizza. They do a perfect chicago tavern style pizza in my opinion. It's a little bit more expensive than other places but it's a small business and it's worth the money. I also love their ranch here, I believe they make it in house and it adds perfectly to their pizza. They have good appetizers as well. Staff is friendly and it's worth trying out. Check hours before you go as they aren't open everyday. read more

Well that's gonna be a place I won't bother spending money at. I called to ask if I could order Chicken Marsala and substitute roasted potatoes instead of pasta (even said I'm happy to pay extra) and the guy puts me on hold and then I'm told, they will do it this one time, but not moving forward. Not sure what the big deal is, especially if a customer is willing to pay to off-set the difference, but I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. read more

We ordered two pizzas Bromwich here last night. Toppings were pretty good. The crust on both was their "traditional". Crust wasn't very good. Although well done, the center was a little pasty and overall just needed something, maybe salt? We also both had the tiramisu and it frozen. All in all not a good experience. Have heard many reports of food sickness due to expired ingredients in the food served at this establishment. The one time I have ordered, I got food poisoning. The overall cleanliness and service is less than adequate. The owner (Carm) is extremely hostile, and horribly mistreats his employees. The restaurant is largely run by minors. They are yelled at, accused of stealing money, and berated by Carm. read more

Hands down the best pizza place around. The sauce is unbeatable. The crust isn't thin thin, but it's not too thick either. It has enough substance to get that doughy chew. This is my ideal pizza and we switch up toppings frequently. Most places will have one or two favorites, with nonnos, your safe whichever way you go. The chicken tenders are great. The pasta dishes will have you wondering why you eat anything else, ever. The people there are kind and are good people. Great food, REALLY nice people! I can't recommend them enough. They have great pizza and lots of other family-friendly food. The menu is pretty entertaining actually, full of things my kids LOVE. We were ordering often for my husband's band practice and one Sunday they gave us our 4th pizza FREE. No coupon even! While I was in there, they gave college students a discount. The students hadn't even asked, that's how nice they are. I love to buy local, and am always happy to support nice people! We wanted to try a new place so we were going to try here. We called and asked if we needed a reservation and they said no. About 20 min later we arrived. We sat down and they ignored us, we asked for menus and then the Mgr or owner picked his head out and said they were too busy to do eat in. We said we were not in a hurry if we could maybe get an appetizer we would wait the hour. They said no they could not. That for any food it will be over an hour. My only regret about Nonno Carms is it took us this long to find this delicious Italian food! The only thing better than the food are the amazingly kind and gracious owners. It definitely has an old school atmosphere due to them - like you are in their kitchen for Sunday Supper. The pizza is now our favorite with its buttery crust. Found this place and ordered through the Slice App. Due to the app the ordering/paying process was a breeze. Food arrived quickly. As for the food itself I ordered spaghetti with the bolognese sauce. Dave got a small plain cheese pizza. I really liked the spaghetti. Wasn't the best I've ever had but was probably the best I've received in recent years from other local pizza joints. Came with some soft bread and butter. The pizza had Dave giving mixed reactions. Upon first look it wasn't lookin too great. Cheese sort of shifted in the box and the cuts weren't really there so had to do a recut. Also it was really greasy so he patted it down with a paper towel, something I've never seen him do... either way after a few bites he said it tasted better than it looked and he liked the flavor. I would definitely order here again just for the pasta alone but would like to see how a bigger pizza with some toppings would come out. I'll let you know how it turns out. read more

Nonno Carm's is the new restaurant in place of the long-standing Evviva that was at this location. Not 100% sure, but I think it is the same chef or one of the old owners that runs this place, as everything still appears relatively the same. So far the only thing I've tried is the pizza, but it has honestly become my go-to in the area. I even had my dad try it (he is not big on pizza AT ALL), and when I brought a pie from Al's Pizza in Warrenville the next week, he was sad it wasn't from Nonno Carms. I think that's a pretty big compliment. The cheese isn't salty and processed tasting, & the pizza sauce is super flavorful without having a ton of acidity. Since then I've been back several times for the pizza and I crave it about once a week. Support your local spots and give this place a try!! read more

I couldn't find a restaurant able to take orders for a last minute Mother's Day dinner. I found Nonno Carm's open and decided to try their food for the 1st time. Nonno Carm's took my large order and it was ready in 30 minutes. The food was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. Even better, I was given a free piece of tiramisu with my order. Food was great and I highly recommend this place to those in the glen Ellyn area. Will be ordering again for larger parties and last minute pizzas for dinner. read more
