It was an excellent dinner. I had their tender veal with smashed potatoes. Delicious though I wish some greens came with the dish. i got to try my mom's rigatoni and the chicken breast very tasty. We order dessert it was light fluffy tiramisu and the rich dark chocolate lava cake. The service was decent.

I came here with a friend last night and we had a very enjoyable experience. We love downtown Wheaton and wanted to try something new. Our waiter was really sweet and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing- it was great for a chill girls night out! The pasta was delicious! My friend ordered one of the specials from last week that she saw posted online. They were able to accommodate her and make it even though it was last week's special. She ordered it with the penne. It came in a creamy white sauce with blackened shrimp and broccoli. I tried it and it was soooo good! I ordered the rigatoni allá vodka with crumbled sausage and it was perfect. I really loved the large rigatoni and the taste of the sausage. I would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant!

I chose Positano in Wheaton because I've always enjoyed the Oak Brook location and was curious to see how this one compared. The Wheaton space feels more modern, though it lacks some of the warmth and charm I associate with Oak Brook. It was very busy and louder than I prefer, which made the experience feel a bit less intimate. That said, the bar area is inviting, and I can definitely see myself stopping in for a drink and a small bite. Service didn't quite have the friendliness and polish I'm used to at the other location. It wasn't bad, just missing that extra touch that makes you feel truly welcomed. The food, however, delivered. The linguini vongole was perfectly al dente with a generous portion of clams, and the homemade meatballs over creamy polenta were a standout appetizer. They craft a solid Negroni, though the Old Fashioned could use a bit more attention. Overall, it's a good option in town, and I may return. But with strong competition nearby, it has to work just a little harder to rise to the top.

We just came by tonight for dinner on the patio and had a lovely time. First up - love that they take reservations for the patio. It's few and far between so absolutely love when we find a place who allows it! Better yet a dog friendly patio! Add in delicious food and some homemade noodles and it's perfect. It was a beautiful night with delicious food and great service. We will be back for sure! Thanks for having us!

Wonderful atmosphere, food, and service. We made a reservation for 9:30 PM and were the only people in the restaurant. They serve fresh bread while you look through the menu and wait for your food. We ordered the fried calamari, Rigatoni Baragiano, and Pappardelle al Nonno. I loved the fresh noodles in the pappardelle and the sauce/meat of the rigatoni. I recommend both dishes but enjoyed the rigatoni most. A cute romantic Italian restaurant in downtown Wheaton.

I went to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We weren't asked if we were celebrating anything so I didn't have the chance to tell them it was my birthday. The waiter was nice but another waiter bought my husband a drink out with lipstick still on the glass showing that they don't wash their dishes which is disgusting. The food lacked flavor the lemon drop was good but I wish I would've celebrated my birthday elsewhere. I wasn't offered fresh Parmesan for my pasta so I just used the grated one. I will not be returning.

I had the Risotto alla Positano, Arborio rice with porcini mushrooms, grilled shrimp, and scallops in a saffron broth with fresh tomatoes. Every bite was rich, balanced, and full of flavor. I hadn't had Italian food in a while, and this reminded me of what I've been missing. My wife had the stuffed eggplant, and she said she loved it -- it was great. It was my first time back since this new restaurant replaced Wok n Fire, and I have to say the transformation is impressive. The space feels open and welcoming. Walking in to the sound of Sinatra playing at just the right volume set the tone perfectly. Service was excellent. The staff was warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing.

I had the pimento dip, the 3 cheese breadsticks, and the baguette with fig spread and honestly considered canceling the rest of my day and just living there. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and ridiculously good. The bread was perfect, the cheeses were rich and flavorful, and the fig spread with the baguette deserved its own fan club. The drinks absolutely held their own too. The Summer Spritz was crisp and refreshing, while the sangria came in with a polite smile and then quietly reminded me to respect it because wow, it was strong and delicious. Beyond the food and drinks, the whole place has this warm, beautiful French market vibe that feels cozy, elevated, and welcoming all at once. Great atmosphere, amazing flavors, and the kind of spot that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even paid the bill. Highly recommend.

It works like this: They have about 100 wines set up to taste in a semi-circle around the store. A woman at the door checked our IDs, took our $5, and gave us a list of wines at each station. Everything being tasted was on sale for the day -- a minimum of 5% off with bigger discounts for larger quantities, up to 24% off. And then we were handed our "Wine Thing" wine glass (not to keep, alas) and a small bag of pretzels and headed in. This is not a huge store, so it was pretty crowded. But the people pouring the wines were as friendly and helpful as they could be, given the circumstances. And everyone was nice enough about letting people by, lubed up with good wine. Still, we had to emerge from the crowd every so often to get a little fresh air. But besides simply having more space for this event -- or maybe doing timed tickets or something? -- it's a GREAT way to taste a ton of wines from knowledgeable people and find a new favorite or two. :)
