Fishbone by the Lake is hands down one of the best dining experiences you can find in Stouffville, and honestly, I would compare it among the top restaurants in the entire York Region and GTA. From the moment you walk in, the combination of good food, warm service, and that beautiful lakeside view sets the tone for a memorable meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the standout was definitely the grilled sea bass. It was simply outstanding. Perfectly cooked with a crisp skin and tender flavorful bass. The fish was completely boneless, which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce and garnishes elevated the dish even further, and the presentation was so well done that it looked as good as it tasted. Honestly, it was so addictive that I would come back just for that dish alone! Service here is another reason this place shines. Our server, Christian, deserves a special shout-out. He is friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent from start to finish. It is rare to encounter service that feels genuinely thoughtful, and it made the day even more enjoyable. Yes, Fishbone by the Lake is on the pricier side, but it's absolutely worth it for the quality you can get. From the freshness of the ingredients, to the upscale presentation, and the relaxed lakeside atmosphere, everything comes together to justify the cost. There is also a good amount of free parking conveniently located across the street, which makes visiting stress-free. A few quick tips: reservations are a must. This is a popular spot, and with good reason, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. Weather could throw you a curveball in summer time since the venue is basically outdoor with a nice shade. Between the incredible food, stunning view, and top-notch service, Fishbone by the Lake is a solid 10/10 in my books. Honestly, whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a place to treat yourself with friends or families, this restaurant will not disappoint. Recommended!

Pizza was little good Other food items are just ok Drinks were bad Friendly customer service Little expensive Nice view but lots of spiders and spider webs on the side. I could count more than 10 spiders across our table. It doesn't looks like they are keeping it tidy in that aspect. Other than that place looks beautiful and nice. Free parking available. You can also park in the big parking space across the street.

Highly recommend booking a reservation in advance! It was quite busy during lunch time. Ambience was very nice if the weather is good. Food: Pull & Tear Bread and Baby Gem Caesar Salad are great for sharing and very yummy. Branzino, Chorizo and Steak & Frites was okay and nothing special. Shrimp Tagliatelle is my favourite and tasted great. For dessert, the Lime Tart was the best dessert but the Portuguese Tart was great as well! Service was perfect as well! Our server was very attentive with allergies and timing what comes out when. Overall, a great restaurant with perfect service. Food is slightly expensive but you're really here for the view and ambience.

Went to check out Fishbone By the lake for a birthday dinner and it was truly a wonderful experience. It's a restaurant that opens during the warm summer months and only an outdoor lovely patio facing a gorgeous lake. As a group, ordered the following: 1) PEI mussels - mussels cooked well with an amazing coconut broth 2) Pull and Tear Bread - super soft, fresh out of the oven with their very own herb garlic buter 3) Wild Argentina Shrimp Tagliatelle - fennel served with fresh shrimp and their handmade white wine cream sauce 4) Roasted Icelandic Cod - super fresh cod paired with Heirloom tomato and caper vierge Everything was truly delicious and was cooked with fresh ingredients. In addition, the service is excellent and impeccable, making it a great dining experience. Would truly recommend to go try this restaurant as it has an amazing atmosphere and one of a kind view, with great food. Go make your reservations (on a sunny day)!

Went to Fishbone by the Lake for Canada Day and it was excellent! The service was extremely friendly, food was amazing and the atmosphere and view by the lake was perfect. We started with the Pull and Tear Bread, Flaming Chourico and Patatas Bravas. The bread was right out of the oven, the chourico was sliced pork (don't touch the pig!), and the patatas bravas was bite sized potatoes in a saffron aioli and brava sauce... all were excellent starters. We then had the Grilled Yellowfin Tuna and the Steak Frites, again cooked to perfection. Overall a great experience, make sure you make reservations... highly recommended.

My visit to Fishbone By The Lake was good, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. The ambiance by the lake was charming, offering a relaxed atmosphere with lovely views, though it could have been a little more lively. The service was friendly, but there were times when it felt like the staff was stretched a bit thin. The food was flavorful and fresh, particularly the seafood, but it didn't quite impress me as much as I expected. It's a decent choice for a meal with a scenic view, but there's room for a bit more refinement.

We lucked out getting a table for their last summer day. The location is quite beautiful and it's a relaxing environment to enjoy some delicious foods. This particular location is all outdoors and only open during the warmer season. We've been to their Aurora location before and loved it. I will say, the pricing is a tad bit high, but the food is really good and it's worth being one of those special occasion dates. I love that the menu isn't huge - meaning they're paying attention to quality over quantity. We ordered brussels to share which I found to be just a tad bit too vinegary for my preference. I had a few bites and left those mostly for my boyfriend to have. The fries were perfect though. The mains actually followed immediately after the starters - pretty quick service considering it was fully booked that night. My boyfriend had the lake burger which was so good. They used brie as the cheese and you just can't go wrong with that. We had an octopus to share, which was absolutely tender and grilled beautifully. It had a lovely flavour. I couldn't enjoy too much of it though because it had quite a bit of oil, but it tasted great. My favourite was the seared ahi tuna though. It comes on a bed of olives, piquillo and beluga lentils which complimented the fish perfectly. I will crave this combination for quite some time to come. Absolutely something I'd recommend to anyone coming to this place next summer. Obviously, we were too stuffed by this point for dessert, but they had some nice options and I noticed other tables really enjoying their sweet treats. If you haven't given this place a try, definitely keep an eye out for opening and make a reservation. It's such a lovely drive, great views, and good food.

The view of the lake was lovely!! Although it was quite dark during dinner, we could still see the outline of the water and the tree lines. The food was delicious, however, it's quite expensive. The service was good, but a tad slow and our server, Bruno was very friendly.

Be sure to book a reservation in advance! Great spot by the water. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy and chilly, but they gave us blankets and it was still a great experience! It's much cooler in this area so bring a jacket. For the food, the yellowfin tuna and the octopus were highlights. Not pictured is the pull and tear bread but that's also a must-get! Cocktails were also amazing - the spritz and Fishbone sunset were top notch.

I like coming here at least once a year especially during the summer months, sitting out at the patio is a very relaxing experience!

I would have to give an extra star for the absolutely stunning view and the amazing service. I highly recommend making reservations as it is super popular in the summer and several parties were turned away during our meal. For food, we had the burger with fries and the ahi tuna salad. Of the two, I would recommend the salad as it was somehow just tastier. The vinaigrette paired really well with the edamame, greens and crispy chips. The burger unfortunately had all the right ingredients but fell apart after the first bite and wasn't very cohesive. They are famous for their fried brussel sprouts, which we tasted and were good. Will be back for the view, but not sure about the food.

Love this place. A little oasis just north of the city. Food is great with a smaller menu. 100% patio with some shade. Pizza is perfect Drinks are amazing Steak was cooked perfectly Every dish was on point Service was very good and on time Staff were very friendly So this location it is worth fighting for a table.

This restaurant is located right beside the Musselman's lake, with a breathtaking view and such a refreshing ,causal vibe. We ordered: 1. Sourdough bread 4/5 2. Sausage 5/5 3. Steak 4/5 4. Tuna salad 4/5 All dishes are beautifully presented, especially like the way they serve the sausage, flamed using oil under the sausage . Service is good and attentive too. Make sure to make reservation in advance as they are quite busy.

We have chosen wings with bone and one with spicy jerk sauce and the other one was spicy Cajun dry rub. Wings came with veg sticks and dib and no fries. Wings are fresh, crunchy on the outside and very tender on the inside. Both flavors we picked gave us some serious spicy pleasurable kicks. Service was also attentive and relaxed. They have wings (which for some reason don't show up on their Uber eats page), a bunch of bar-style food (appetizers, burgers, nachos), and also Tamil dishes Iike curries, rotis, and samosas. There is a 'order ahead' button on their website which I tried - they are supposed to call/email to confirm they received my order, but they didn't get it right away and it was getting near the time I wanted to pick it up so I ended up calling to order. I ordered the wing combo #3, which is 3 lbs of wings in 3 flavours, fries and 3 sodas. Wings were a good size (apparently you can get them grilled or baked for +$2), and flavours were great: - salt & pepper: great, evenly spiced, crispy and not breaded - Kansas bbq: sticky and saucy, smoky and sweet - Sri Lankan devil: the spiciest wings they offer - they called me back to check to advise they finish it with spicy fresh green chilies (yes please!). It was a big saucy - super flavourful spices that I couldn't identify - and a slow to creep, lingering heat. Loved it! The Greek salad was good - lots of cucumber, feta, olives (unpitted), and tomato chunks, though it was non-traditional in that it was on a bed of lettuce. I think they forgot the red onion though. I ordered a poutine (still on a hunt for the best poutine in town) - it's pretty big, real cheese curds, darker (but not beefy) gravy which was pretty salty. I'm not a French fry person - these ones were a normal size/thickness. Overall - fine, but not great. I wonder if they would have swapped the fries in the combo for the poutine - I'll have to ask next time as my preference is poutine over fries, even if it's not a great poutine. Finally, I ordered a mutton roll (for $2, why not!) - didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a delicious spicy mutton and potato mix rolled into a roti and then deep fried. They also threw in some complimentary samosas - deep fried triangles stuffed with potatoes and bright green peas - Indian spices but not particularly spicy as both my toddler and kindergartener devoured them. Not too greasy either. Overall, I'm happy with the experience and would recommend it. The woman at the cash was very friendly, and she even called me back a minute after I'd left to apologize that she'd forgotten to give me the sodas (thankfully I was checking out the new supermarket next door so it wasn't an inconvenience to come back). The only thing is that I found it on the expensive side, but I suppose it is on par with other wing prices in town. I didn't see an option to purchase just wings outside of a combo so I'll have to ask next time.

I know the closest St. Louis place from work and home. For months, I have been driving up to Whitchurch-Stouffville to get groceries and more on Wednesdays. I have passed by this St. Louis location, salivating as I think of wings. I finally dropped by this week to pick up my takeout order. If you have been reading my reviews as of late, I have a healthy habit of looking at menus on my handful of food-ordering apps. On Skip the Dishes, I noticed that from now until December 13, 2020, you can order a pound of wings at 50% off the normal price. Insane! I ordered a pound of chipotle mango dry rub wings. Instead of going with the usual celery and carrot sticks, I upgraded to coleslaw. Getting such a sweet deal makes me feel like I am getting away with murder. I ended up getting some garlic sticks. I need carbs! I ordered in my car, parked outside of Giant Tiger. My order would take roughly 25 minutes. Great! Well, the lineup at Giant Tiger was extremely long. By the time I got in my car, Skip the Dishes indicated that I had two minutes before my order was ready for pickup. Nice! I drove over to St. Louis. I parked near the eatery and walked over. York region is not in lockdown. There were patrons dining and chatting. Tables were spaced apart. It looked clean. I stood at the front and looked at the sign-in customer log for COVID-19 tracking during this pandemic. I then saw what appeared to be my order on the bar's counter and headed over there. The female bartender was so friendly. She said, "You must be Mary T!" I nodded. She handed me my order. I thanked her and wished her a great evening. I drove home and chowed down. The chipotle mango dry rub was so good. It has lots of flavour. I like dry rubs these days because I don't need so much sugar in my system. I dig this flavour. It was my first time having it and won't be my last. The coleslaw is a generous portion. It's vinegar-based. If you like the creamy type, you're out of luck here. It was yummy. I couldn't eat it all and had the remainder the following day for lunch. It was even better! The garlic sticks looked like larger fries. It came with marinara sauce. I could taste the garlic. The sticks were chewy and highly enjoyable to eat. I am a garlic fan and wanted more garlic flavour on them. However, the wings came with creamy dill sauce, which does wonders dipping these garlic sticks in it and the marinara sauce. The menu says that it's pizza sauce. There are small chunks of tomato in it. It tasted more like fresh marinara sauce. Yummy! I am a fan of this eatery. It looks fairly new. The bar is stunning. The television screens showing various sports games were crisp and vivid. I am likely coming back to take advantage of this promotion until it ends. Even without it, I will return because I love the wings here and I had a wonderful experience. (431)
